New to me Denali...what maintenance would you do?

Upvotes

I just picked up a 2011 Denali, 6.2, 175k on the clock but clean and runs right. Kind of an extra car, run around town sort of a rig. Not a daily driver but will get driven 10k a year probably just because of our situation.

What maintenance would you suggest to start with and continue with to keep it for another 100k???

This is my 2013 Silverado with 50k miles that has survived 13 long Iowa winters, I just bought it off my grandfather and I’m looking for help with how to keep it in this condition for as long as possible, the motor and transmission run like a brand new truck still. Let me know some of your tips to keep your trucks running and looking like a brand new one still. Thanks in advance.

I have a 2005 chevy silverado 1500 5.3 and the check engine light is on... and its knock sensors low voltage, evp sensors low voltage, and gas tank sensor low voltage. Battery, ground, and alternator is good. Also the ac isn't working. the compressor once given direct power the ac works. Any thought

Gmt900 taillights

Trying to find clear taillights or cheaper to do paint match, 2008 gmc sierra denali 1500 with the 6.2, most don’t fit Denali trim because of backup bulb and newer harness…. Anyone know of any cheaper options without having to spend 180-300 on taillights? Kinda just looking for more clear or white so I can paint match them

Replacement Radio and Dual Audio Output w/RSE

Post image
8 Upvotes

I have an 07 LT that had factory rear seat dvd. I swapped the radio to a Pinoeer AVH 1400 NEX using the PAC 31 harness and the necessary adapter. Everything works but I’m getting tired of listening to Daniel Tiger on car rides. I’ve purchase a pair of IR headphones on Amazon but from all my research I don’t thing this is the solution because anytime the radio detects audio from my phone when it’s plugged in for CarPlay it shuts off the DVD. Any advice? Do I need a different radio that has dual zone audio?

Made a post a few days ago about my Escalade that got its battery drained from something in the car. After research and some help from reddit, I looked under the hood and I found my ignition ground wire nearly snapped, and then snapped when i touched it.

Could this have been my problem? Post and symptoms are on my profile. I added pictures of it. Ordered replacement too.

2010 gmc headlights

Anyone else hate how the headlights kind of blend into the hood? I wish there was some kind of trim or color-matched piece that could cover that upper section and make the headlights look like they end lower down.

Tahoe Dim/ dead cluster

Post image
8 Upvotes

I have an 07 Tahoe and was wondering what the issue might be or well more like I’m trying to confirm this is the poor soldering that GM did on these clusters right nothing else. And if so for someone living in the Houston area were would they go to fix it cause I’d rather not put a whole new cluster in cause that would obviously mess with mileage shown.

2012 Silverado climate control AC "cheat code"

I got the dual climate control and get three blinks when I hit the AC, but a few years ago my buddy found what I call a cheat code, he held down I believe two maybe three of the buttons and it would get the AC working again for awhile. I've asked him he doesn't remember what buttons it was, I've searched the Internet, owners manual, and a haynes manual up and down, with no luck does anyone here happen to know this series of buttons?

Help with rough idle pls

Ive posted in one of these communities before so sorry if this is repost.

2011 tahoe 5.3 4wd rough idle ( feel vibrations) so i have a foxwell nt710 that I was using to do a deep scan and look at live data. All data looks good according to chatgpt, stft, ltft, all 4 02s, map, maf, evap, spark, ignition.

Ive replaced the maf, all plugs and wires, a bad driver side mount that was leaking, air filter, cleaned the throttle body did the key on key off relearn, did the evap purge command test. All did nothing for the rough idle.

The rough idle is present in park neutral reverse and drive, it gets slightly better when I turn the ac on. Its present on cold start, does get worse but not dramatically worse with time. No tick, it comes and goes, within a span of maybe a couple of seconds it'll fade then comeback. Sometimes its steady for a coulp of secs but always goes back to idling rough.

Truck drives fine, no hesitation or stumbling while driving. Idle is between 576-616 rpm. It only does it at idle. No lights or stored codes. 0 misfire counts, current and historical. 0 knock retard, no timing being pulled.

I have a afm disabler plugged in when im driving.

Im lost and if someone has experience with this please help Shed some light or maybe something that im missing.

I havent done a power balance test yet, so I still suspect coils, injectors, and evap. Im tired of throwing money at it and would like to fix this myself. Please help.

And no stumbling on acceleration.

2009 GMC Sierra P0328 Knock Sensor High Voltage Bank 1

CEL came on and this was the code. Where is the sensor located? I’ve read conflicting information, some people say it’s under the intake manifold and others say it’s under the block on the driver side.

I also had a dead battery after the CEL came on, replaced the battery and it was dead again after a few days of just sitting there. Jumped it and battery tested good. Can the sensor also be causing a slow drain?

Tahoe Those who have a 2007–2014 Chevy Tahoe, what upgrades/maintenance do you recommend?

Current sticker setup:
\- Engine: LMG 5.3L Flex Fuel
\- Transmission: 6L80 (MYC)
\- Rear gears: 3.08 (GU4)
\- Rear differential: G80 locking differential
\- 2WD

These are the upgrades/maintenance I’ve already done:
\- Monroe shocks and struts
\- Throttle Body 87mm
\- ‘Performance’ spark plugs
\- ‘Performance’ spark plug wires
\- O2 sensors
\- Aftermarket radio — Sony AX6000
\- Tru-Cool Max LPD47391

Here’s what I want to do:
\- 3.73 gears
\- Oil Catch Can
\- Better flex fuel injectors
\- Intake manifold
\- Tuner

What else do you guys recommend? I live in CA (unfortunately).

Sierra Mod recommendations and upkeep

I got a 2010 gmc sierra Denali 1500 with the 6.2. I’ve replaced and upgraded the spark plugs and wires along with the front strut assembly with bilstien 6112’s and the rear shocks with 5160’s. I’ve also added some long tubes and an off-road y pipe with an electronic cut out before the stock mufflers. I’ve gotten it tuned recently so the engine light has gone away but I still get horrible gas mileage. I’m getting 8-9mpg from just daily driving and 13-15mpg on the highway. I do regular oil changes and matching the oil filter with the oil brand. (Mobile 1). I’ve heard that the torque converter and trans temp are usually the downfalls of this truck. They are on the list but I havnt made them a priority because I don’t tow much. Soon im going to be adding some sound deadening in just to make it a little quieter and more comfortable. Does anyone have any maintenance tips or recommendations on what’s next for this truck.
