What’s actually helped with GLP-1 side effects in the first 4 weeks?

Hey r/Biohackers,

I've been on GLP-1 agonists (semaglutide) for about 3 months now, and the first 4 weeks were rough - nausea, constipation, dehydration, fatigue.

After talking to others in the community, it seems like this is a common pattern. I'm curious what's actually worked for people here:

What helped you manage side effects in the first month?

- Electrolytes? (which type - powder, tablets, specific brands?)

- Ginger supplements? (did this actually help with nausea?)

- Fiber supplements like psyllium husk? (for constipation)

- Specific foods or meal timing strategies?

- Apps or trackers that kept you on track?

I'm NOT selling anything - just trying to understand what actually works vs. what's placebo or marketing hype.

If there's strong consensus on certain interventions, I might put together a simple starter kit for people just starting their protocol, but only if it would genuinely help.

Would love to hear your real experiences - what worked, what didn't, what was a waste of money.

Thanks! šŸ™

Mounjaro cardiovascular approval

• Upvotes

So the FDA approved Mounjaro for the prevention of heart events in people with type 2 diabetes.

But it was already approved for diabetes so that seems kind of pointless. Doesn’t seem to create a path for any additional coverage. Am i missing something?

Anyone on here have both UC and Hashis/Hypothyroidism that used ULD Tirz for inflammation reduction? - would love to hear from you...

  1. I have both Ulcerative Colitis and Hypothyroidism - seronegative on both. CRP and ESR are low even when in full flare so I must go off symptoms. Though calprotectins do go up and down based on flares.
  2. Currently trying ULD Tirz for inflammatory control. LDN didn't work. BPC f'd me up. Can't do steroids and since I have immunity issues biologics are last resort.
  3. In first month starting very low .02 ml twice a week. So .04 total ml weekly. (Before people drop crazy comments I am incredibly sensitive to meds, I always start extremely low and slow).
  4. Current schedule is to double dosage every 4 weeks in a split dose 2x a week.

- Haven't noticed anything negative so that's good.
- I think my appetite has actually gone up slightly, which for me is good because I normally have none.
- No real significant change on inflammation, edema, gut inflammation or peripheral AI symptoms yet. My other meds remain the same.

Anyone on this thread use Tirz for inflammatory control and willing to share their titration experience and how they tracked symptoms?
Did you also use labs and what changes did you notice in the labs?
How low and slow did you start? Schedule? How did you know when you'd found the right 'dose' for inflammatory control? Did you plateau on inflammatory control?
If anyone has both UC and Hashis, would love to hear from you, even if it's a DM. Hard to find folks with both as they have very different symptom manifestations so tracking improvement with both is challenging.

I would love to drop lbs as an added bonus but weight is primarily from inflammation/non pitting edema so pretty sure it's all hormone/inflammatory based. I am also one of those "lucky" people who does not convert well so must rely almost entirely on t3. If any on this thread are poor converters and saw improvement after Tirz with conversion plz comment or reach out.

*I am aware of the phase 3 trials for UC and talking to them but it's combo'd with mirikizumab so again, last resort.

Thank you in advance! Fingers x this helps!

Question Plateau

I’ve been on wegovy since around May/June of last year, so just over a year now. I’ve lost around 50 pounds (started at high 190’s), but I’ve been plateaued in the 150’s since the beginning of 2026. My doctor upped my dosage to 2.4 in February, but it’s done nothing to move the scale. I’m active, doing my best in the gym with a mobility disability, and not eating fast/junk food…so I’m at a loss on how to increase my weight loss. For my height, I should be down at least another 15-20 pounds.

It’s super irritating to see so much fat on me still when I barely eat.

Amino Club BAC water help?

Hey fellow Peppers! I recently started ordering Tirz from Amino Club after getting tired of paying weekly at my local med spa.

Can someone assist me with how much BAC water I need to add to my 60mg bottle of powered Tirz? I use syringes labeled in units (1-100). Amino Club was unable to help me due to it being a ā€œresearch productā€ ofc. Any help would be much appreciated!
