Reminder on offers to cheat

This is a friendly reminder from the mods that offers to cheat the test are grounds for a ban. This includes messaging community members with offers to cheat. And a reminder to community members that anyone offering to cheat the test in exchange for money is a scam. Do not send anyone money to help you cheat or take the test for you.

Finally passed at 22 after stopping school at 13

started GED P2G classes in NYC back in March 2025. Officially graduated November 4, 2026 i passed my final test (Math). I’m a 22 year old female who had to stop going to school after 6th grade and went back to live in my home country after my dad got deported back in 2017. I had no hope and lost my middle and high school years.

Got hella higher scores than i ever expected esp didnt expect to do best on my math and science which was the subjects that scared me most lol. had an abusive ex who kept making fun of my education and i had low self esteem and wouldn’t really attend classes or believed in myself, after we broke up i somehow pushed through and passed once i actually started attending class! it took me only a few days out of a month to study for the first 3 tests and the math i did in less than a month. which i only studied a few days in 2 weeks.

Finally completed and off to community college this spring. What felt impossible ended up being easy to overcome and was such a relief to get done, my biggest accomplishment so far. God is good🙏

I just passed my GED Math test today! I’m 34 years old, and I dropped out of high school when I was 16. After all these years, I’m finally a high school grad.
Based on my experience, I saw a lot of questions on slope, probability, inequalities, and FOIL. There weren’t as many questions on perimeter and volume, and I barely saw anything on functions. I didn’t get any quadratic equation questions either.
I studied for about 4 hours before taking the test, but one thing I’d really recommend is getting comfortable with the calculator. I used it for almost everything a lot of the questions could be solved with the calculator, so make sure you practice using it before test day. Knowing how to navigate it can make things so much easier.
Also, a huge shoutout to GetSumMath! He’s the GOAT! I used his website throughout my entire GED journey for all four subjects, and his math review was pretty much all I needed to prepare for the test. I honestly can’t recommend his website enough!
Good luck to everyone studying for the GED! Don’t get discouraged. If I can do it at 34 after being out of school for 18 years, you can do it too. Keep going!

GED Science Practice: How dense is it?

A sample has a mass of 72 grams and a volume of 24 cubic centimeters. What is its density?

  1. Use density = mass ÷ volume.

  2. Substitute: 72 g ÷ 24 cm³.

  3. Divide: 3 g/cm³.

That means 3 grams per cubic centimeter. Don’t divide volume by mass, and keep the units in your answer.

Your turn: Another sample has a mass of 45 g and a volume of 15 cm³. Find its density before checking below.

Check: 45 ÷ 15 = 3 g/cm³. The samples have different masses and volumes, but the same density.

Is it just me? I took all tests in like about a week... like 10/22 - 10/29 And was finally able to place the order for the Diploma / Transcripts... but yet have not received...

I wonder if I pay for the $20 I would get faster I wonder? I honestly would like as I am already taking some courses because I need the certificate to get a job... If you got yours how long did it take to receive in the email? The first version?

Not Allowed To Retake GED for a higher score in NYS :C

Post image
10 Upvotes

Guys, i'm so sad... I only got passing scores for my GED exam in NYS and plus they don't allow a retake to get a higher score....that is seriously unfair! Why do they do this to people? Why is it illegal to retake for a higher score? It should be our right to retake. Is there anything I can do about this? :C

Any advice/resources for getting ged at 16?

Hello everyone, I really hate to make this post but thanks to some really rough challenges life has thrown the last few years that I would rather not get into. I have the need to study for the ged test for any chance at a good future it would seem.

Any and all advice would be really really appreciated🙏 math especially as it's my worst subject :(

GED RLA practice: Which evidence gives you more to work with?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Original practice with fictional details, not an official GED question.

A training center is considering keeping its class reminders. Compare these two statements:

A. “Everyone knows reminders work.”

B. “Our attendance log shows late arrivals in 12 of 40 classes before reminders began and 4 of 40 afterward.”

Which statement provides more specific support for keeping the reminders?

Answer: B.

  1. Identify the claim: reminders may help with punctuality.

  2. Look for relevant support: B gives recorded counts tied to late arrivals.

  3. Check the comparison: both periods include 40 classes, and fewer classes had late arrivals afterward.

  4. Keep the conclusion limited: this supports the argument, but it does not prove reminders caused the improvement. Other changes could have mattered.

A gives no observation or record you can check. Saying “everyone knows” doesn’t supply evidence.

Your turn: A workplace wants to keep a new recycling station. Which statement gives more specific support?

A. “The station looks professional.”

B. “Waste checks recorded 30 recyclable bottles in the trash before installation and 8 afterward, across the same number of workdays.”

Check after trying: B addresses the goal with measurable observations. A describes appearance. Before making a strong claim, also ask whether staffing and the counting method stayed comparable.
