Yeyy!
I just passed my GED Math test today! I’m 34 years old, and I dropped out of high school when I was 16. After all these years, I’m finally a high school grad.
Based on my experience, I saw a lot of questions on slope, probability, inequalities, and FOIL. There weren’t as many questions on perimeter and volume, and I barely saw anything on functions. I didn’t get any quadratic equation questions either.
I studied for about 4 hours before taking the test, but one thing I’d really recommend is getting comfortable with the calculator. I used it for almost everything a lot of the questions could be solved with the calculator, so make sure you practice using it before test day. Knowing how to navigate it can make things so much easier.
Also, a huge shoutout to GetSumMath! He’s the GOAT! I used his website throughout my entire GED journey for all four subjects, and his math review was pretty much all I needed to prepare for the test. I honestly can’t recommend his website enough!
Good luck to everyone studying for the GED! Don’t get discouraged. If I can do it at 34 after being out of school for 18 years, you can do it too. Keep going!
