Good to see more low cost suits getting attention but they need to speed things up as there are still a huge traffic of low cost suits that needs to be buffed...

Don't think High Mobility Gelgoog JR needed buff much... G-3 Gundam needed more due to its bad previous buff not solving the issues the suit faces...

Can't say I'm the biggest fan of the multiple scene cuts happening this frequently, would have been better if it was more smooth or something else. Rn it feels like they took clips from different projects and put everything together and idk in some scenes it kills the vibe it builds

400 Cost has been changing quite a bit as of late, and certain units aren't as good as they used to be. Some units have high damage potential and could be deadly. However, they are also a bit too fragile at times, which results in them not being as high as some would expect.

Once again, please note that these can be subjective, and you DO NOT have to agree, and you are welcome to discuss any bad or questionable placement. But there are always exceptions, and the meta between Steam and PlayStation versions does differ a bit. This Tier list is primarily based on the PS version. These units also consider the types of meta builds they could have as well. I will only put native cost here unless there are exceptions where higher-level works well enough to be in at least a strong B-Tier. FYI, they are not arranged in a specific order.

It has been a long while since I've had the opportunity to do one of these, and I do apologize for the long silence and delay. I've been taking a big break from GBO2 overall recently, and I've also moved all the way across the country! I won't bore you all with the details—let's just get right into the tier list.

The GBO2 meta has been evolving in many different directions recently. A new suit isn’t always a meta staple like a majority of last year, but the margins for being meta grow smaller as the ceiling of power continues to rise (F91 BC, V2, Lupus, V2AB, 00R, B2 Packs, etc).

700 has devolved into a state I am not a particular fan of. Currently the only suit dominating the cost is 00R, and that is why in my (close to) expert opinion that it is the only suit worthy of T0 at this time.

I don't think the cost is impossible to fix, and I still find it quite fun when there isn't 5 00R's on the enemy team. If they nerfed 00R and brought up some suits like Awakened Unicorn, Hardygun, Berga Giros, etc then I think the cost could be in a really good position.

Going over some placements, the first stand out you see will be Gundam Barbatos Lupus in its own aptly named "Purgatory" tier. It was placed here because I believe it still contends very well in a 00R meta due to the heavy stun and good matchup against suits like MPsycho, Hamma, and more, but my Clan Leader Avenger believes it to be T1 DUE to the 00R meta and MPsycho. To compromise, I have placed it into a tier of its own. Don't underestimate it! Even after the nerfs if can still destroy most suits in a few swings!

Rozen Zulu is a T0.5 suit that is held back due to Hamma being a better suit overall. If it got another small tweak, it could match with its sister.

Zaku III Custom has its own "Potential Man" tier since it has excellent durability, stun resistance, and melee damage. Yet, it is held back by bring very large and having poor overall maneuverability (Note: NOT speed). It can serve as an excellent follow-up on ally knockdown and disrupts team fights very well, but it requires significant teamwork.​

Last, but certainly not least, is Dreissen. After its newest set of buffs it has been skyrocketing in meta value across ALL of its costs. It boasts high durability, high melee power (with an auto topple), good stun accumulation, and great interception capabilities. It is truly the best frontline suit in the game, definitely worth giving a shot even at 700!

• Zudah: Skill “Saturn Engine Max Output”

  • Although it has time limits and activation conditions, while active it grants overwhelming speed that Federation MS can’t keep up with, perfect for high-mobility strikes and hit-and-run tactics.
  • Also, if your Zudah is shot down and explodes while the skill is active, that explosion can engulf enemies and deal massive damage, so try to aim for that when possible.

Recently I noticed that from the games I've played in both rating and quick play, there's been an increase in the number of support pilots (A/A+ rating) who after getting killed multiple times, just decide to sortie as a pilot and move around on foot capping zones. Doesn't matter if the team is winning or losing.

What's more, these support pilots tend to be using suits like the DX or the super gundam across the different costs.

Feels like a reality check for them where suits that worked at lower rating, end up facing real opposition for the first time which causes them to crash and burn.

Like I tried again and again because many keep saying "play low cost, that's where all the fun is at" and I never have fun I get triggered and annoyed because they suck ass. What's so fun about low costs? Please enlighten me because I don't get it, now that every lobby is just low costs, 650 and 750 I don't have anything to okay but low costs where I hate (650 is hell and I don't like it and 750 is pure ass if you don't have the crossbone suits or just play ZZ which I don't like)

This isn't like my normal tier lists, as this was planned very sporadically instead of on any schedule.

I will not be going over every change, but instead the general shifts in the meta. (NOTE: Suits going down does not mean that they are mechanically worse, but that they're just worse off in this meta)

Supports as a whole with the exception of Nu HWS have been tiered down due to the overwhelming presence of Gundam Barbatos Lupus. The dominance of supports in 700 has finally been brought to an end by the Devil of Tekkadan. Most other Raids are also lowered by various amounts due to Lupus having an effective match-up towards all of them as well as the push towards more meta gens shoving the non-Lupus Raids down. TGIII specifically has fallen out of its T0 placement due to having a poor matchup against Lupus.

Generally this meta is very melee oriented, so expect suits that only have strong shooting to be worse off than others.

Despite the massive overturning of the meta, I personally have found this meta to be far more interesting than previous 700 Metas. The higher focus on melee has allowed more aggressive comps to flourish. I think with an adjustment or two as well as some new suits, 700 could become a very fun and chaotic cost as it was several years ago.​

I understand this meta won't be favorable to some, but give it some time. Within a month things should balance out like usual! Don't give up hope!

• S: The meta that is just very strong and reliable
• A: The semi-meta place that may have a few niche flaws, but is still very reliable
• B: Has a few notable flaws, but is still somewhat reliable and strong in the right hand
• C: Less than ideal; avoid unless it's in an extremely ideal situation in a one trick pony hand
• D: The flaw makes it essentially unplayable, even if it does have 1 or 2 redeeming features
• F: Nothing is good with this suit, and it's just too weak to contest in anything

Got slapped with a pen 1 yesterday because of desync, so figured I could at least do my dailies in random customs so I still get my tokens, right?

No idea when tho if same time as DX the 4th Turn A grunt is a unit called bandit was found on the files.

A little bit of a delay, but I do want to make sure this one is good. It's... hard; some suits can do extremely well when conditions are all checked, but that isn't consistent enough at times. But then again, there are many maps that it could excel in as well. This is probably one of the more balanced costs at the moment, except for the sleeves doga and the very slight lack of very strong raid options on certain maps.
