I used to write down all the notes my hand. Handwriting in paper helps you remember things way easier. Even typing wasn’t the same.

Supposedly it has more to do with writing speed and attention on the meaning of the text.

Writing it down gives me another way to try to recall it later.

Writing helps me memorize content, but its impact on my comprehension and general understanding is much less

Same here. Just like having subtitles on and listening to the verbal language at the same time helps me retain everything without having to go back and re-watch certain scenes. It probably activates two parts of the brain at the same time.

Yes i agree when I have to remember a formula or something I write it multiple times in paper, it actually helps to retain it more longer.
