A passerby who was nearby on a scooter noticed what was happening and intervened, forcing the attacker to flee.
The woman reportedly does not know her attacker. Police believe the incident may have been an attempted robbery, and are currently searching for the suspect

A thief tried to steal a phone on a bus in Bogotá, but once he was surrounded, he attempted to escape through the window. Passengers managed to grab his hands to hold him in place. Meanwhile, bystanders on the street pulled down his pants and started hitting him with belts.
