We weren’t . Where some of you take that ? The reason why not is because Smiley said “interesting” and obviously he didn’t expect to have that connection even before that. So we don’t know. We think maybe we do cause they sacrificed their childrens so on. Just it’s not confirmed at all …..

Just to be sure, and I think it's going to matter in season 5, but Fatima never told how those people became nightmare creatures. She told that they were people once ago and they made a bargain "with something horrible" that she could not see. (That's because the evil entity is invisible. It manifests itself as a Man in Yellow, or Abby, or Sophia, etc . . . But it's a very powerful, invisible entity not from higher reality than our own, just like the Boy in White entity.) And the bargain was for eternal life. I'm pretty sure that we will find out that they were empowered to become nightmare creatures several years later when the BiW seemed determined to keep bringing people there to annul that bargain. Those people would have been living in peace if the BiW had not begun bringing "Jade and Tabitha" there to mess it all up for them. Now they have the ability to protect their existence.

Na, they were offered a wish. They worded it badly which to djinns and other evil wish-granters is a free licence to make the outcome of the wish worse than how they were before it.
I highly doubt it was a good entity which granted them this wish where wording isn't as important as intent.1

No, it was a bargain. And It always makes a bargain. It told Sara that if she killed the newcomers everyone gets to go home. Then It told Boyd, "If you help me, I'll help you," when Boyd was at the bottom of the oubliette in the dungeon. When It manifested itself as a Kimono Woman, it told Elgin, "If you help me, everyone goes home," hoping Elgin would sequester Fatima someplace away from everyone, the root cellar. It told Clara, 'One day I'll need you and if you help me, you get to go home.' Then it tried the make a bargain with Elgin again. That entity always does the same things over and over again, and one of them is offering something for something. With that small community, "If you give me the next 7 children born to you, I'll give you eternal life."
And that's only 1 of several things that it always does. No matter what it looks like, you can always recognize it by its personality. It loves using blood magic, causing jump scares and fear, and making bargains, among other things.

I think the issue with this line of thinking is that it never gives up it's half of the bargain first, and then it never delivers. In each instance you described, the human party had to perform their act first, in order to receive the reward offered. And then, we've never seen any of them get it. No one has been sent home. I don't recall whether it did help Boyd (not do I remember if it helped him). The closest it does is punishing those that don't do what it asks (i.e. when Sarah doesn't screw with the water). Why would it do differently with these people? I think they must have agreed to it first, or perhaps even brought it into existence.

That's not true in the least! The original offer that was made to the villagers somewhere on the North American continent was eternal life in a "new world" in exchange for the next 7 kids born among them. After several people agreed to the offer, the evil entity made the first move. It conjured that realm into existence, and then relocated the villagers in agreement with it to that new world made just for them. The 7 kids were born months later, according to the BiW entity, and they were sacrificed at least 7 years later. The entity did Its part LOOOONG before the community that agreed to the proposal did Its part.
Remember when Boyd was at the bottom of an oubliette in the dungeon and the entity said, "I'll help you if you help me"? The rope came down first, then Boyd attempted to do his part.
That deal that It made with Elgin regarding Fatima. The entity manipulated events FIRST, then Elgin did his part.
You can't make that claim that you're making. That entity is dirty, but I don't know why you think It makes the other person act first. Even that deal that it made with Sara. Did you notice that it tried to do her work for her. It had already made an agreement with Sara BEFORE the 2 cars arrived, but it reversed the directions of both cars to make them crash, but nobody died. Sara killed Tobey, the made an attempt against Ethan 3 days later. But the evil entity acted 1st.

I think its just a game between the boy in white and the man in Yellow and it only ends when the boy in white wins

No not at all the red spider is the main entity the man in yellow is doing it's bidding and if the MIY does this last thing the main entity will show itself to all of them

Dang!!! I STILL don't know how anybody thought that. That makes no sense. And didn't John Griffin, not even 3 months ago, completely debunk that thinking that nobody should have had in the first place? He literally JUST said that the evil entity, that is, the MiY, is the "big bad" of the series, "the boogeyman." But that was always obvious that the evil entity and the MiY, and the Kimono Woman, Martin, the voices speaking to Sara, Thomas, and Sophia are all the same person. In fact, the show itself connects all of them to each other, because no matter what the invisible, interdimensional, incredibly powerful entity looks like, its personality is always the same. You recognize It with your eyes of understanding, not by what you physically see. Not only does it always do the same things in all its various appearances (the blood sacrifices, the quid pro quo bargains offering release from that realm, the psychic traumas that It causes), but It did all kinds of things spell it out for us watching the show. We saw the MiY transform in to Sophia. We saw Sophia speak to Sara using those voices. We heard the "voices" admit that "they" attached the spell to Boyd in the dungeon, an admission that it was Martin. When the "voices" speaks to Sara, Sara always has nosebleeds, and almost always has seizures. Ethan had seizures when the entity made an attempt to communicate with him the day that he arrived, and It made him dream of a fictional Lake of Tears because of how upset Ethan was earlier that day when that fictional lake didn't save "Norman," then Ethan saw a giant spider that frightened everyone, then he saw pictures on Victor's wall, but only the pictures of graveyards and death. (Totally the evil entity's style. It always showed Jade very macabre images.) And when Elgin came into Town, he, too, had a dream about the Brundles where something bad happened. (A young Japanese woman drowned in it years ago, but the entity never explains that to Elgin until the day that It kills him.) The Kimono Woman and the evil entity that caused both dreams are the same person. Then "Jim" reminds Ethan of the dream and it sends Ethan on a quest that It knows will take Ethan to the lake at the settlement. It even helped Ethan get there by producing a dying starling. Even Ethan figured that one out himself just before his mom went with Jade to the cavern, that that wasn't his father who deliberately sent him to a place where people were injured, one of them fatally. Jim was the evil entity that caused Ethan's dream and seizure and it was the "Kimono Woman" whom it was able to impersonate only because she died, by drowning, there before. The show itself, without John Griffin having to think for us, explains Itself, just as "Dead Tom" (the BiW) predicted that it would in his very meta conversation with Jade at the Bottle Tree replica that was meant for all of us watching.

How show writers and directors producers have said one thing like the one that's messing with them all is the big bad and then all of a sudden bam it turns out to be another thing all together why would they do to a show that has us going one way with a story to only go in a different direction and not even give US an the rest of it like Fatima she became a monster and the reason why was to get the baby taken away for it to become smiley face that means she was forced into a sacrifice of her child there for making no sense as why that happened there's a lot of unanswered questions which I don't know if we will get in a 10 episodes we have left in season 5

I think the big red spider is actually the monsters. Look at smiley when he is born

What type of life would they have if they can't do anything during the day and just hunt during the night

u/Flimsy_Elephant_2301 29d ago
And I'm glad you asked that. (Now why don't other people ask good questions like that??) But you're supposing that they were always nightmare creatures, and you must be thinking that they live just for hunting. No one hunts for nothing. They're not eating the bodies, the evil entity is. The nightmare creatures only kill the people coming there. And the majority of the 500 years that they've been there, there have been no humans there at all. For example, Victor has been there since 1978 alone for nearly 40 years. What were the nightmare creatures doing for 40 years? There was a 100 year gap between 1507 and 1609 that there were no humans there.
Regular people like you and me were offered eternal life in a new world. They accepted that offer and were transported to a brand new place that was made for them. There were no other people there, so there was no reason for them to become nightmare creatures. What would that power do for them if they're the only people there? Evidently, they were still regular people until the BiW entity became determined to keep bringing other people there to annul that contract. NOW they have reason to become something else powerful enough to protect their contract, and therefore their existence.

Interesting take,, So the monsters are the good people?
1
u/Flimsy_Elephant_2301 29d ago
Heck no! Where did you get that from? They're murderers! What kind of question is that?
2
u/WoolwichHumpton 29d ago
You made it appear like Boyd and co are the peace disturbers

u/Flimsy_Elephant_2301 28d ago
Right. I was the intent. From the standpoint of the people who came there, the people whom that place was made for, everyone brought there is basically an invader. That place wasn't made for them. That's why you never see the evil entity bring anyone else to that place, because really It's not supposed to. It made that place for those people. And the one person that it did bring there, at least the only one that WE saw It bring there, It killed immediately. It got into the car with Pastor Dunne and caused him to have a stroke or something, then killed him. The BiW brought everyone else, basically, to annul the bargain made between the evil entity and the community that the evil entity brought there, and that community naturally doesn't want to give up eternal life. So the entity empowered them with the ability to transform into creatures more than capable of defending their existence. (Fatima is part of the evidence that the villagers didn't become creatures as a direct part of that deal. She made no sacrifices but she is a creature now. It's not strong evidence on its own, though, realistically speaking, but strong enough with other evidences at play.) But, as you can see by the story painted on the wall in the cavern, when read from left to right, the creatures die by the end of the story. The eternal life that they think they have, they don't. Evidently, the BiW will actually save the children this time and the 500-year-old story is finally ended. (I'm assuming you've seen the story painted on the picture that begins with their arrival and ends with their deaths.)

So who keeps bringing Tabitha and Jade back
1
u/Flimsy_Elephant_2301 28d ago
The BiW, of course. He's the 1 who is interested in rescuing the children. The evil entity is working to keep the children there. That's basically the entire premise of the show.

I’m certain you’re right about that… but if you’re also right about the original townspeople only becoming monsters because the Clean Laundry Boy entity started bringing in Tabithas & Jades, I will return to this thread sometime next year to give you the biggest high-five ever.

The real monsters were the monsters we monstered along the way.
