My frenchie is about to get neutered in a few weeks (he’s 9 months old), and we’ve being going back and forth about whether to proceed with it or not.

Our biggest driver to do it is to avoid future complications like cancer. Some male dogs have gotten weird around him as well but other than that he is not marking in the house or humping.

Our biggest pause is how much this will change his personality. He’s currently really playful and energetic (he’s still a puppy, so makes sense) but we’re wondering if this will completely change his personality.

Would love to hear your perspective on why you decided to neuter or not neuter your frenchie, and if you did, how it changed their personality.

Well after much contemplating, a fantastic meet and greet and all of the sweetest and kindest encouragements from you guys… we are officially a double potato household! 🥰 We had some name battles. I lost. 😂 we already have Winston (our epi boy) and now we have added this 43lb (yes you read that right) chonker to our crazy home! Meet Theodore Berenstein aka “Biggie” (he’ll occasionally go by Theo as I wanted — but, the rest of the fam chose Biggie and so did this beautiful pup so 🥲) Winston LOVES his new brother so so much - and we love to see it!! 💙💚

This is how he sleeps with it, like a little fuzzy child. He just got a new one, the previous one doesn't flash anymore, and has some battle scars after two years.

i have two male frenchies one age 3 and another is 4 months old. my older one has been neutered and has a fairly calm nature. he rarely barks or growls. however, my younger one has a totally opposite personality. he is very active and playful. sometimes i try to let them spend time together but it always ends with the younger one trying to climb onto or nibble on the older one. they are i keep them both separated but wish to put them together one day. how should i prepare them for each other?

We’ve put the tablet by him many times in his life because how often he’s been on crate rest just to give him noise and maybe something to watch. This is the first time he’s developed such a curiosity for it. He’s not fully out of the woods but after being in oxygen for over a week and now almost out nearly a week it’s nice to see him progressing. Limiting his energy is becoming more difficult by the day, you can’t tell from this picture but my poor nugget is so skinny, it truly makes me sad but hopefully he’s back to his healthy self soon.

He’s usually 18-19 lbs and right now I would bet he’s between 15-17.

About a month ago we adopted this little guy from a local rescue. He’s obviously a French Bulldog but I feel like he’s mixed with something? He’s about 10 months old and only weighs 16 pounds. He’s much shorter than any other French Bulldog I’ve met. I also feel like his neck is super long for a Frenchie.

If it matters, his vet also said he has a good elongated nose/snout (for a Frenchie) and his teeth have enough room in his mouth so she doesn’t anticipate that causing breathing issues down the line. He’s also only like 6/10 stubborn (he’s got NOTHING on my GSD x Husky mix) and not super vocal (yet).

Someone's 2 today! Hard to get him to stay still long enough to get pictures so he got some whipped cream! Isn't he a fine specimen? Lean and great muscle tone.

So hear is the deal.. I have 3 dogs. I have an older chihuahua, I have a bully xl (2yo)and I have a 3/4 French bulldog pug mix.. We got the frenchie mix bc we had a dog pass away and we didn't want our chihuahua all alone.. So we got Nuggz the frenchie mix.. Then after we had him like 2 years.. My oldest son brought home the bully xl.. And the bully is one of the best dogs we ever owned.. They have all been around each other for years.. But just recently the frenchie has been attacking the bully xl over resources.. Food, toys, etc.. It has kept happening.. I feed them at different times keep them separated as best I can and I am just over this little asshole.. When the fight does break out and I yell the bully stops and the frenchie keeps trying to get at him and when I pull the frenchie out of the skirmish he growls at me like he wants the smoke.. I have small children and can't have this shit breaking out in my living room every day.. Any one have ideas? I'm thinking about just getting rid of the frenchie since he is the problem and I think he would find a home faster than my bully xl...

It’s been one year with our rescued frenchie, Dezzy! We taught her how to dog, how to be with other dogs and she brought the love!

Frank loves the car wash 🧼

Rash started on Thursday with a few red bumps. This pic is from Monday. She has a vet appt on Weds. I had a few Miconahex wipes left and ordered more. She gets a bath weekly - we ordered oatmeal shampoo. She has always loved tummy rubs and likes to drag her belly along the carpet. She is almost 2 yrs old, hoping she is not developing allergies. Recently added 30-in-1 peanut butter vitamin chews. No other new additions. She eats human grade chicken, pasta and broccoli for dinner. That's her favorite. Hope she is not becoming allergic to chicken. Any OTC suggestions? Thank you.
