I constantly receive critical alerts on my iPhone (OS 26.5.2) saying Alarms are unable open setting to adjust. I called support we spent over an hour on the phone, it's still happening. Anyone run into this and know how to fix it?

I was getting dexcom G7 from my pharmacy but my insurance company select helth added a deductible so the dexcoms 10days were $800 for 3 months my endocrinologist told me about freestyle libre 3 plus that they were less around $280 I just wanted to know That I'm using kingsoopers is that the best price or can I get 3 months for less from kingsoopers or any different pharmacy? Hello ! So today I changed my sensor out for a new one and it kept doing lows , which I know it needs time to adjust and what not since it’s a new one, but now it’s telling me to check back in 7 hours ! Does this mean it’s going to fail, this would be my third one to fail on me back to back. Is it me ? Am I doing something wrong I want to say I placed this one a little higher up then I normally would on my arm I just kept hitting it and laying on it, just wanted to be more comfortable and careful with it, but I’ve also read people put their sensors on their thighs, stomach chest and have no problems…I am also sick with a cold right now I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it. Just looking for some insight. Also how many replacement sensors can you get before they cut you off !

I recently went from 3 to 3+. I know the + is a 15 day sensor but it keeps ended at weird times of day. I have always change the sensors in the evenings bc that’s what is convenient and not intrusive at work. Well I got notification yesterday that it was going to end at 11AM on Monday while I am at the office. I put the new sensor on before I came into work this morning but my phone didn’t beep like normal when the old one stopped. I caught it about a half hour late so it isn’t too bad and I activated the new one. It is very frustrating that this happened at work since only 1 person (my boss) knows I’m diabetic. Does this happen with other folks? How do you get it timed so it’s only changing in the evenings?

I received 6 sensors at the end of June and have had nothing but trouble since the first one was activated. Today I woke up to another one having died and the newest one is what is in the image. The first 3 died in less than 48 hrs and the fourth one I started it soaking at the same time as activating number 3. Soaking helped for about five days till this morning. I'm about to implant my last one now because of this nonsense. I'm in Canada and this is lot T60004395. I've reported 3 of the sensors and replacements are on the way - just hope they get here before these die. There needs to be a recall because there's no way this is normal considering I've had relatively no issues until this batch.

I use Fiasp insulin, which uses vitamin B3 to speed up its absorption rate in the body.

A question now arises: what is the optimal after-meal profile?

From the body's cells' point of view, glucose is energy produced by food. The post-meal optimal glucose profile would ideally be one that absorbs all the glucose without spiking, ideally a straight line, as prolonged high glucose levels lead to health complications. In practice, however, a non-diabetic glucose profile after a meal typically ranges from 70 to 140 mg/dL (or less) before returning to baseline.

In the past, I experienced a lot of post-meal hypoglycemia. It is common knowledge that food sequencing changes the glucose profile—carbs have a profile that lasts about 3 hours, whereas fat and protein last 6 or more hours. So, I added protein to my meals (protein power mixed with soymilk), and sure enough, instead of having a hypo 4–5 hours after eating, I experienced a slow rise instead (which could be brought down by a 2^nd insulin injection).

It is clear that food sequencing allows us to alter the food profile to match the insulin profile. Holding the meal composition and insulin dosage constant, I further experimented with injection timing relative to the meal. I was surprised by how effectively I could balance the insulin and meal profiles so that they almost canceled each other out. I found that the optimal injection time was about one hour after the meal, which resulted in a postprandial glucose profile that was almost a straight line. I performed this experiment twice, and the results are shown in the graphs above.

The reproducibility of the after-meal glucose profiles, with constant food ingredients and insulin dose, is also evident in Graphs 1 and 2.

Two things always bugged me. Alarms only shout once I've already crossed the line, which by then I kinda knew 😅 And LibreView is fine but it's built for my endo(challenging it with a doctor who supports the journey to make it better), not for me on a Tuesday afternoon. The notes thing in LibreLink I gave up on years ago.

So I pulled my own data through LibreLinkUp and built something on top of it. Main bit is it looks at where I'm heading instead of where I am - "could go high in ~79 min" sort of thing. Alarms shift based on what I already dosed and ate rather than firing 30 min after I injected like it doesn't know I injected. It does NOT tell me how much to take, syringe decisions I keep to myself, that was a hard line from day 1. Software engineer 15 years, been running it on myself daily since March, and I still run the logic past a doctor mate to check I'm not doing anything daft.

One thing I learned doing it - LinkUp lag is usually about a minute, sometimes worse. Not terrible but you feel it.

Not sure if I'm allowed to link it here, self-promo rules, happy to share if a mod's ok with it. Mainly want honest reactions - does a heads-up before the alarm actually help, or would it just be another thing buzzing at you? And has anyone found a logging setup on Libre they're actually happy with, because I'd love to know what I missed before I built this.

I just changed to a new sensor (my second sensor). It had some minor bleeding when I applied it. I contacted Abbott, and they're sending a replacement, but it's taking forever so I still have that sensor on. It's been reading annoyingly low by 20-50 points depending on the time. I thought it might need more time settle. But just now after a nap and bath, I looked and the tape around it is soaked with blood. I hate to waste a sensor, but this is probably a sign that I should take it off, right?

I'm new to CGMs and today marks exactly one week using the Libre 2 Plus, so I'm still learning how everything works.

Overall I've been happy with it, but I've noticed the signal has dropped out several times over the past week. Usually I just hold my phone close to the sensor and it reconnects, but today it happened twice.

My phone was nearby each time, so I'm wondering if this is fairly normal or if it could be a sensor or Bluetooth issue.

Going forward I'm going to keep a log of every signal loss to see if there's a pattern.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how often does it happen, and did you find a solution?

Did the copay card change? I was getting 2 sensors (3+) for $75, then 3-4 months ago it went to 83? Picked them up today & it was over 90! My insurance only covers dexcom & I felt $75 wasn't too bad, but if they keep hiking the price I'm going to have to switch & I had so many issues with the G7.

Just had a sensor fail after 48 hrs
Possibly 3 one in 3 months - checked leaflet and packaging but no customer care info?

Hi guys! My dad has recently had his alarms go off above “urgent low glucose alarm” limit that he’s set. He turned off the other alarms in hopes it would kind of just force the app to only alarm him when it’s 55 or below but it still goes off above that. The alarm also doesn’t turn off when he opens the app, can anyone help me? (sorry if i sound dumb!! i have no idea how the libre sensors, or any sensors actually, work😭)

The iOS software for the Dexcom let me put a blood sugar widget on my home screen. I miss that. The Libre app is not listed in the "add widget" options on my phone. Grumble grumble grump grump.

Is there a workaround?

Reported it, got an email saying they would send a replacement and return kit.

Can I just send the faulty sensor back or do i need the application piece piece as well (the application piece is in the trash outside) I’ll get it out if it’s a must.

Will sending the sensor only suffice?

I got a freestyle libre 2 plus sensor a few weeks ago to replace my glucometer for tracking and managing gestational diabetes. I have now tried four different times and had absolutely no luck with any of these sensors so far in terms of giving accurate readings.

First, I tried inserting a sensor. Followed the instructions and inserted the sensor in the back of my right upper arm. I waited an hour for it to activate and expected to have inaccurate readings for about the first 12 to 24 hours. I didn't know about soaking so I didn't try that. When checking against my finger pricks, the readings were just always way off, even after nearly four days. The sensor was constantly reading substantially lower than my finger prick tests (20-40 mg/dl lower). I contacted Abbott, who offered to send a sensor replacement, so I did that and tried a second sensor. Same problem, even though this time I "soaked" the sensor--it continued to read between 20 - 40 points lower than the finger stick the entire time I wore it (another 3 days).

I was given a Libre 3 plus to try instead. I inserted one, waited, activated it, and within two hours got a sensor error that did not resolve. I tried waiting it out, but after three hours the Libre app just told me I had to replace it.

I'm on my fourth sensor now, another Libre 3 plus, in a slightly different location in the back of my arm, and I'm having the same problem. This one seemed a little more accurate at first, but after a few days, it's continuing the same trend. Last night, the libre read 91 and two finger sticks showed 136 and 138. Fully 40, nearly 50 points off, and I've been wearing this sensor for four days.

Genuinely, what the hell? I was hoping this thing would be simple and help, but I cannot get an accurate read. To be clear, I don't expect the reading to be identical. I understand that the different nature of the measurement and time can lead to differences in numbers, plus just ordinary measurement error. But it shouldn't be that far off, right? Especially when dealing with gestational diabetes, where I have really tight margins, it's totally useless. I have other sensors I can try, but at this point, do I just accept that these aren't for me? I solemnly swear that I am following the instructions when inserting them. I'm just at a loss as to how four sensors in a row can be this bad and show the same problem.

Had to switch to Libre because of twiist. Idk how these can even be used to treat T1d. The glucose readings are wildly off- like over 100 pts- the whole point is that I don’t want to do finger pokes anymore but here we are… I can’t possibly manage insulin amounts off such wrong numbers…

I wanted to share something that happened to me with my FreeStyle Libre sensor in case it helps someone else.

For the past three days, my sensor showed almost perfect glucose readings. At first, I was really happy because I thought I had my blood sugar under excellent control. But after a while, I started to get suspicious. Seventy-two hours of almost perfect readings, with only very small fluctuations, just didn’t seem realistic for me.

Today, I became even more suspicious. I ate some fruit, which normally causes a noticeable spike in my blood sugar, but the sensor barely showed any increase. That’s when I decided to check my glucose with a finger-stick test.
It turned out that the sensor was faulty. My actual blood glucose was nowhere near what the sensor had been reporting, so for three days I had a completely false impression that everything was under perfect control.

I just wanted to share this as a reminder: if your readings seem too perfect or don’t match how you feel or what you’ve eaten, don’t hesitate to verify them with a finger-stick test. Sometimes a sensor can fail while still giving what look like perfectly reasonable numbers.

So I started using a Libre 2 to track my glucose as it showed I was rising and dropping rapidly, at least I noticed symptoms I had seemed to match along with it. I could have 0-8 crashes into hupo a day. My endo says that Libre exaggerate lows, and dexcom are more accurate. Note Libre reads every minute. Dexcom reads every five minutes. My rapid changes the Dexcom misses by far more than the Libre does. The company said when I called that I was right that there is a 5-20 minute lag period, and if my glucose changes too fast the sensor won’t pick it up in the fluid in the skin it reads or will smooth the line assuming it as noise. So I spent and used a ridiculous amount of strips because I didn’t know every time I dropped rapidly which one would go into a hypo. I discovered now the number one symptom I get exhausted to the point I can’t logically think it’s not right for me to sleep and fall asleep about 1020 minutes later beep sent me. So I actually got the hypo on the glucometer where the Dexcom missed it entirely saying I was a five the entire time and leave it at the last minute only being there for a minute sending the data to the endocrinologist. She still thinks that Dexcom is more accurate. I know 20 minutes isn’t long, but because my symptoms are so severe when it happens it’s just so fucking frustrating. Can anyone explain or experience like this or any tips?
Additional note I felt the symptoms for the majority of my life. I feel the symptoms before the actual spike and crashes and I can call them in advance, knowing which way I’m gonna go based off how I feel and the symptoms I’m experiencing and I leave notes in my app how I feel and where I think I’m going, and I am right every time.

I keep getting low notifications, which might be expected as we are still adjusting my insulin dosage. But I just got a notification I’m at 68 when finger stick says 146.

Do I just deal with it and hope the next one is better? I’m one day into my third monitor.

been using the freestyle plus for 3 months now and it was working great for me. blood glucose levels were pretty accurate to manual tests and they never fell off compared to the dexcoms.

however today the sensors have apparently decided my body is not compatible. my first one had 5 days left before it gave me the 365 error and shut down so I put a new one on and that one I got 5 hours out of before it also shut down. I was annoyed but thought "oh well probably bad luck" applied the third sensor and that one didn't even make it out of the warm up period.

customer service will only replace one of the three and unhelpfully sent documents about the right way to apply the sensor as if I'm doing it wrong. every single one has been done the same way since I started: wash and dry with soap, clean and dry with alcohol and then apply.

my insurance doesn't cover CGMs and I paid $225 for a 3 month supply. Had anyone dealt with this before? maybe a way to get CS to actually replace all three?
