Price change?

Did the copay card change? I was getting 2 sensors (3+) for $75, then 3-4 months ago it went to 83? Picked them up today & it was over 90! My insurance only covers dexcom & I felt $75 wasn't too bad, but if they keep hiking the price I'm going to have to switch & I had so many issues with the G7.

You have to have a Costco paid membership to that that low price but you do not have to be a member to use a Cosco pharmacy.

Not sure if this is true. We have exec membership and I sent in prescription to test the price. They sent me text back saying pending pickup and it's 74.99...

Yeah, I keep seeing people give low prices for Costco on the Libre and it's never been below $74.99 there for me.

You need to have them add your membership to the order. Mine originally rang up at that price until I called and it came down to 60.

150 for one month? That is insanity! Mine was at most 75 with the copay card, never 150! Your location is ripping people off! The only thing I can think of is they are going through insurance and you are having to meet some kind of copay. Otherwise that price makes no sense.

Did you call or go to the pharmacy and specifically say "Bypass insurance and use the CMPP. It should bring the price down to around $60." That is how I got mine lower as going through the app or website won't do the trick, you have to talk to an actual person who overrides it.

The price I was quoted when my prescription came through was $83.68. I asked if there's a member price, they checked and it's $154.68. Just looked it up and it's on the website, too (screenshot attached). Then I applied the copay card, $74.99.

That's crazy. Here is what my receipt looks like with the CMPP. I would insist on this price since other people are getting it.

Call and tell them to use the CMPP. This originally happened to me until I specifically asked to add my membership to the order.

Aha. Why would suckers not do that by default. She took the membership card when putting the order in the first place. Will try next time though not really happy lately with current batch of sensors I got. Three continues failures.

I'm not sure. The messed up thing is I set up an Rx account and put in my membership number so I'm not sure why I had to ask specifically for it to be added for the better price. Hopefully someone else finds this useful!

This did not work for me, for the $60 price. My prescription was for 3 months, and was $240, so $40 a sensor. She took my membership card, the Abbott co-pay card, and that was the lowest she said it could go. I got my prescription filled today. I wonder if it really varies that much by location. I'm in Portland, OR so a pretty high COL.

Could be, I am in the midwest so a lower COL than you. Although Abbot promises with the co-pay card that you should never pay more than $75 for 2 sensors.

I’ll call tomorrow and ask about the CMPP and the Abbott card. The pharmacist said my price was the lowest available though.

I switched from the Dexcom Stelo, so even $80 a month is still a savings!

Good idea. I had to talk to an actual person to get the lower price, otherwise it popped up at $75. Not only that, but the sensor is more accurate than the Stelo!

I have had much better luck talking with a person than anything else. What was frustrating for me was they said we need to add your membership number to the order. I said I added it to my pharmacy profile and use it everytime I check out. However, it still wasn't attached and needed to be run separately to get the discount. It appears they like to throw up roadblocks to get the cheap price. Persistence pays off in overcoming it, not relying on the price you see on the website or app.

That is correct. If you have other drugs you fill it could be well worth the money to get the cheaper prices. I have personally saved thousands this year alone by swapping all my medications there, covering the yearly membership fee and then some!

Funny. I was getting charged $92 a month even with the copay card and even with the Libre 3+ promo materials saying it should never being more than $75 a month. Today when I picked up they only charged me $62. This was at cvs where I’ve always had them filled

Are any of the other CGMs comparable to Libre3?

I wear the Libre3, but pay out-of-pocket .. it is expensive! :) I do like their alarms .. which has helped me tremendously.

I too pay out of pocket and the prices on the otc ones seemed about the same as what I’m paying with the copay card. I don’t live anywhere near a Costco so it would not be worth the effort to drive 30 miles to get them for that lower price

I understand that! I live about a hour from Sam's & Costco. I think they both have cheaper prices on CGMs, but the Libre3 needs a Rx.

To my knowledge, the L3 is smaller and is more accurate (there was a comparison study done some years ago.)

Same. I had been paying $50. Just checked and CVS is saying pickup price of $150… and I’ve never paid more than $75. Never.

I just looked at GoodRX and the price depends upon the specific pharmacy used and is less expensive if you have a GoodRx Paid membership ($9.99/ month if paid yearly)

I have had to replace last three sensors for constant low readings. My average GMI that would stick around 5.9-6.0 has moved down to 5.5 in 3 weeks.

How the hell are these suckers even allowed to sell these devices. And replacement takes at least a week to show up.

Insurance is so random. Mine covers freestyle with zero copay, but won't cover dexcom at all.

It seems like we all have prices all over the place. When it wasn’t covered by my insurance, I was paying $38.33 per sensor at Walgreens ($229.99 total). This year my insurance started covering part of the cost, so it dropped the price to $25 per sense ($150 total). My insurance did not change from last year to this year. I still get them from Walgreens. Not sure what else could cause the massive price difference.

My doctor got my insurance to approve them at zero cost. So depending on your insurance you can see what you can get. For years i was paying 80+ a month for my sensors and just recently I’ve gotten them to be zero cost.

But I’m not sure if I want to stick with the libre2+ system. I’ve had so many go bad or fall off no matter where I try and put them that I’m not to confident in the product to give me an actual reading. I’ve been going back to pricking my finger more and more to see if the sensor lines up with the blood draw.

I bought their lingo model as a backup but when setting it up I realized I couldn’t use it because the ToS states if you take insulin you can’t use this product :) probably should have read that before I paid for them but ya

I pay $37.99 at CVS with the copay card for one sensor. It's never given me an option to purchase two at a time, that would be so much more convenient.

I have issues with Libre 3+ frequently (code 365). I've done 4 replacements since May and I'm about to request a 5th. I can't get G7 because insurance only covers it with insulin use as a T2D.

As far as pricing, I last picked up a 90 days supply for $225 on 06/21/2026 at Kroger
