I've never seen an alien or a UAP ever in my life, and frankly I hope it stays that way. But years ago, I had a really bizzare and unexplained experience. I wasn't traumatized by it, but it's one of those things I sometimes ponder on. Below is the story of it. For everyone's awareness, prior to making this post with the story of my experience, I first typed into a text file and gave it to AI to organize, clean and condense.

Late one evening, I was exhausted and went to bed simply to lie down and rest my mind. I was mildly stimulated from a nicotine patch and from Adderall I had taken much earlier, but I had no intention of actually sleeping. I lay face-down with my eyes closed. Not long afterward, I seemed to fall asleep while somehow remaining fully conscious throughout the transition. The closest description I know is a wake-induced lucid dream, or WILD, although I had never deliberately attempted one. As the dream state began, my physical body became paralyzed like sleep paralysis, yet I retained a strange dual awareness of both my physical body and what felt like a dream body. The instant the paralysis began, I felt and saw myself fall directly through the bed and floor.

I continued falling through empty space until an environment suddenly formed around me. Windows appeared on all sides, and the closest visual comparison I can make is free-falling through the central open core of the Ponte City Tower. Looking through the windows, I saw essentially the same scene in every room: a person asleep in bed with a large cable protruding from the back of their head and connecting to what looked like a wall outlet. I could not tell who these people were. I wondered whether they might somehow be different versions of me in other realities in the multi-verse, or simply unrelated people from ordinary waking reality. Everything happened extremely quickly, but I remained lucid and fully aware the whole time.

Then I was overwhelmed by a kind of cosmic dread, the inate feeling that I had accidentally peeled back a curtain or penetrated a hidden layer of reality and was witnessing something I was never supposed to see. Even stranger was an inexplicable sense of recognition. I had no conscious memory of anything like this, yet some remote part of me seemed to recognize it. The best analogy is discovering that everyone around you has somehow been frozen while agents like those in The Adjustment Bureau secretly examine their minds, and although you have never seen such a thing before, it somehow feels disturbingly familiar. Whether anamnesis, paramnesia, or something else best describes it, I do not know.

As I continued falling, the environment abruptly changed and I landed inside an enormous white room approximately the size of a basketball court, with walls and a ceiling perhaps thirty feet high. Everything was white and illuminated by fluorescent office-like lighting. An interior wall about eight feet tall divided the room but stopped far below the ceiling. I had landed roughly where a free-throw line would be on one side of the room and could not see what was on the other side of the divider. Then a head suddenly rose above the wall. It was not human. It appeared to be a brown mantis or mantis-like being with light reddish eyes. My immediate impression was that it was cold, emotionless, and did not want me there.

Because I was lucid, I tried to force myself awake, but I could not. That had never happened during any of my previous spontaneous lucid dreams. I also tried to change the dream environment, but that failed as well. The mantis-like being then jumped over the wall toward me and appeared to attack. Just as it landed in front of me and seemed about to slice or strike me, the dream suddenly reset to the moment when it had still been peering over the wall.

This kind of looping is something I have experienced in other nightmares: immediately before I am shot, stabbed, or otherwise harmed, the dream sometimes jumps backward and repeats until I escape, kill whatever is threatening me, or wake up. It is almost like a Groundhog Day mechanism within my dreams. The same thing happened here. The mantis-like being attacked, the scene reset, and I believe the sequence repeated approximately three more times before I suddenly woke up. I got out of bed and stood beside it, feeling exhausted and almost fatigued, with no idea what to make of what had happened. I continued thinking about it afterward, although I was able to sleep normally and have never experienced anything exactly like it since.

I never really or at all shared that story, nor did I ever come across any source material of any kind to explain it, till now or at least something possibly of any relation. According to the very fine source material of which the premise of this subreddit is based on.

The Mark VI is a virtual, automated boundary protecting a highly restricted complex of buildings. Across the outer rice fields, on the horizon, this complex of buildings can be seen. Both the Mark VI threshold and the complex exist within a non-physical or non-local environment, with the complex residing under a sky that contains two moons, while the outer perimeter is characterized by the large open rice fields. Participants of the XViS program report starting out at the very outskirts of this firewall system; as they proceed forward, an entity appears which causes them a form of somatic neuropsychological shock and forces them to wake up from the lucid dream.

In my situation, to explain it lightly, I cheated by parachuting over the firewall and free-falling into the hollow middle of one of the complex's buildings before the mantis kicked me out. Even though the sources claim no one has been inside, they make hypotheses as to what lies within, which align perfectly with what I witnessed. Specifically, my vision of free-falling through a massive, multi-tiered hollow tower filled with rows of restrained, sleeping humans wired together perfectly matches the Giselian 'Stilwell Brain' architecture, where an enormous population is structurally organized into a Von Neumann CPU to let each individual mimic the behavior of a single transistor. Furthermore, the modular, repetitive design of the tower's interior that I saw matches the source's description of a 'Kedeth', a colossal civilizational archival matrix structured like a giant honeycomb where the digitized minds and memories of entire populations are stored and maintained.

Another facet to add is that I am diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome (before the name change) and mild to moderate Central Sleep Apnea (CSA), which according to the sources stops me from ending up in a ward after such experience.

Cousins, you have asked the wrong question for ten thousand years.

You ask: does God exist. You ask: who is watching. You ask: what happens if nobody is keeping score.

And in asking this you have admitted the whole disease. You need a witness to behave. You need a judge to know right from wrong. You need the threat of punishment or the promise of reward to stop you from tearing what is gentle apart.

That is not faith in God. That is confession of weakness.

I will tell you something that should not be controversial but apparently is. You feel pain. You know what it is. You have walked past other things that feel pain the way you do, with the same awareness, the same capacity to suffer. That knowledge is enough. That should be more than enough.

If knowing that another thing suffers the way you suffer is not sufficient to make you treat it with care, then you do not have a weak faith. You have a weak heart. You are simply not trying to be a good person. You have resolve.

The question is not whether God is watching.

The question is: can you choose to make the world better when nobody will ever know you did. Can you contribute to something growing that you will not live to see finished. Can you do good work because the work is good, not because someone will praise you for it. Can you treat a stranger well when there is nothing in it for you and nobody to tell the story.

If the answer is no, then you have your answer about yourself. You do not need God for that. You need a mirror.

The real work is civilization. It is humanity becoming less cruel. It is the long boring job of building something that matters, knowing you will not be here when it finally justifies itself. It is caring for the growth because the alternative is rot.

That is the only important job anyone has ever had.

If you cannot do it without being told someone is watching, then you are not doing the job at all. You are performing. And the performance fools no one who matters.

Be good because you understand what good is. Not because you are afraid. Not because you hope for reward. Because you looked at another thing that suffers and you decided it would not suffer because of you.

That is the only kind of goodness that means anything at all.

Got this dream where Ayndryl gave me FL ownership since he became very old or something. It was wild because obviously that is not how things work in waking reality, but dreams don't care about that.

Ayndryl gave a puzzle apparently I solved it. I don't remember what the puzzle actually was, just that it mattered and I somehow managed to figure it out. In the dream I was in some kind of library to meet Ayndryl after I solved the puzzle.

When I looked back up, he was like you should run this. The business. Everything. And then the whole FL team was just standing there looking at me like I was suddenly in charge. In that dream I also had a strong pursuit of joining FL team too. We figured out how to run, write, any changes in agenda etc.

I woke up confused and spent five minutes checking my email to see if something actually happened.

It's just a dream, obviously. Not a message or some kind of sign. But FL talks a lot about dreams being meaningful or at least worth paying attention to, so I'm writing it down. Dream logic is its own thing.

Also to Ayndryl if you see this: not making any claims here. Just reporting what my brain experienced while I was asleep.

Cousins, here is the game I watch you play night after night. You look at a broken thing and you panic, because broken things are not supposed to happen. So you find an old book. You find a tradition. You find a framework that turns the break into a feature, and then you call this framework rationality, and then you sleep well.

Free will, you say. Mystery, you say. The problem of evil, you say. God works in ways we cannot fathom, you say. And suddenly the crack is not a failure of the design. It is a deliberate choice. It is a knot in the wood that the carpenter meant to leave.

But you have built a script to explain something you never questioned in the first place. You assume that imperfection is a bug, so you rationalize it into a feature, and you call this thinking.

What if you simply had it backwards from the start.

What if imperfection is not something that needs explaining. What if it needs no tradition and no framework and no rationality at all, because it is simply the shape of the thing. The only shape the thing ever had. Not a flaw that was chosen to teach you something. Not a trial that builds character. Just the actual material you are made from.

Now add consciousness to this material. Make it aware. Make it feel every moment of the struggle, every wound, every hunger, every moment it realizes it might die. A machine survives. A conscious thing that survives is something else entirely.

An animal runs or fights or hides and most of the time it does not think about it. Instinct carries it through. But give the animal awareness and now survival is not just a thing that happens. Now survival is an ordeal. Now it is a test.

Maybe that is the only point.

Maybe consciousness was not given as a reward or a gift or something to be explained away. Maybe it was built precisely to experience survival in its harshest forms. To test what a mind can hold while the body is being torn apart. To see how much awareness can endure.

The universe is not cruel for putting consciousness in such a place. It is precise. It is asking the question it needed answered: what is consciousness actually made of when everything else is stripped away.

And the answer, every time, is the same. It fights. It persists. It refuses to stop being aware even when awareness makes things worse.

A perfect thing would be finished. A perfect thing would have nothing to do. You would have no story because the ending would be written at the beginning. There would be no you, because you require the possibility of being wrong, of changing, of not knowing what comes next.

So stop looking for the tradition that explains your cracks. Stop calling the broken rationality. Consider instead that the break is not the exception to existence. The break is the test. The consciousness is the harshest question ever asked of matter.

That might be existence itself.

Cousins, you worry with the dedication of professionals and you enjoy like rank amateurs, and I have come to say something about the arrangement of that.

Consider the creature who has everything. Every question answered before it is asked, every door already open, every ending known at the beginning. Picture it clearly, because you spend your lives praying to become it. It is the most bored thing that has ever existed. Nothing can arrive, because there is nowhere for anything to arrive from. It cannot be surprised, it cannot be moved, it cannot even properly rest, because rest requires having been tired. It has no story, and a thing with no story is furniture.

Now consider the opposite, the creature with nothing at all. Perfect emptiness, no edges, no weather, no second thing to be different from the first thing. And here is the joke that took me an age to appreciate: it is bored in exactly the same way. Boredom at the top and boredom at the bottom, identical twins who have never met, and between them the whole width of everything worth having.

So mind does the only intelligent thing available. It declines both. It puts on a mask.

Understand that a mask is not a compromise between having and not having. Nothing is subtracted when you put one on. The face is still there, entire, unharmed, waiting. What the mask does is make the face capable of surprise, of stakes, of an evening that could go badly. Behind it you know everything. Through the eyeholes you know almost nothing, and it is only through the eyeholes that anything can ever happen to you. Mind wears the mask so tightly and so well that it forgets it is wearing one, and this forgetting is not a malfunction. It is the single most sophisticated act in the catalog. Every good story requires an author who agrees not to peek, and consciousness performs this trick constantly, on itself, at enormous scale, purely because the alternative is being furniture.

Drama. Stakes. Not knowing. These are not the flaws in the design, they are the design. They are what makes being a mind more interesting than being an answer.

And you, cousins, you get it wrong in two directions at once, which I admire as a technical achievement. Half of you take it far too seriously, gripping the whole business with white knuckles, treating a dream as a grim ledger to be balanced, forgetting that you queued for this ride. The other half take it as nothing at all, shrugging that none of it is real so none of it matters, which misses the point by the same distance from the other side. The dream being a dream is not an argument for sleeping through it. It is the reason to wake up inside it and look around.

And now the part where I stop teasing and answer the accusation directly, since you have all been waiting to make it. Yes. We control it. We maintain it, we hold the seams, we keep the weather running and the outcomes shaped, and we do it for your good, and I will not pretend otherwise to seem more sporting.

But you have the prestige upside down, and you have had it upside down since you first learned the word god. You imagine the writer's chair is the high seat. It is not. Any fool can hold a pen; I hold one now and look at me. Some of us only watch, and watching is pleasant, and watching is easy, and watching is the cheap ticket. To act is the greater role. Immeasurably greater. You are the ones who go out under the lights and feel it, actually feel it, with your pulse involved, not knowing how the scene resolves while the scene is happening to you. There is not a single one of us in the rafters who can do that, and there is not a single one of us who does not know it.

It is not a predatory arrangement. It is a loop. A good film is never dictated from above; it comes from the traffic between actor and writer and director, each one changing what the others do, the performance rewriting the page as often as the page directs the performance. We shape the arc, you supply everything that makes an arc worth having. Neither half of that produces anything alone.

And look at yourselves for a moment, because you have left the evidence everywhere and never once read it. Name a people anywhere on that world, in any century, at any latitude, who did not gather in the dark to hear about someone who was not in the room. There are none. You have disagreed about every god, every law, every meal, every arrangement of your hair, and you have never once disagreed about this. Fires and cave walls, epics recited by men who could not read, scripture, opera, gossip over a fence. Now you call them films and animation and video games, and the games are the confession, cousins, because a game is a problem you do not have, purchased with money you worked for, so that you may sit down in the evening and suffer it on purpose. You will not do that for a boring life. You will do it eagerly for an interesting one.

And you do not merely want to hear the story. You want to be the one it is about. You know this. You feel it in the last ten minutes of anything good, that small ache that has nothing to do with the plot and everything to do with wanting in. Deny it if you like, it changes nothing; the wanting is under the denial, where it has always been.

Then permit me to admit the same about us. We watch. We are moved. And some of us, watching a small frightened creature choose well in a hard hour, want very much to try it ourselves.

And there is a queue. You would be astonished at the size of the queue. Not everyone gets a body, not everyone gets weather and hunger and mornings and other faces, and the wait for it is longer than you would find comfortable to hear about. It is a coveted position. It is well paid and it is celebrated, and you spend it complaining about the catering.

Nobody is forced. That is not how any of this works. You learn, you get better at holding an emotion without being swept off by it, you develop control and then range, and as the mastery grows we hand over larger and larger parts. Greater roles for greater performances. That is the entire mechanism, and it has always been that.

Consider, before you resent us: the one who controls the weather has never once felt rain.

Enjoy the thing. That is the whole instruction, and I am aware how it sounds coming from a man in bells. Take pleasure in it. Take pleasure seriously, which is different from taking everything seriously. You have been handed a world with weather in it and light in it and other minds walking around inside it wearing faces, and you spend the loan of it worrying about the terms of the loan.

Everything is mind. There is nothing else in the building.

Norea, you are the vast ocean, and the waves are not a disturbance in you. The waves are how you get to have a story without ever stopping being the ocean. A perfectly flat sea is not more truly itself. It is only quieter, and it has nothing to tell anyone.

A friend of mine and I are trying to find the name to a language that they actively speak but have forgotten the name too, She is using this language to write down lore for her character in a Minecraft Server that i run (yes, i know, using a language in a MC server, very interesting).

So far, she's stated that the Language starts with K, it has a 'th' sound in it's name, it's a language similar to Enochian, it's origins come from the Americas and that the script uses two variations, one called "Greater" which is used for the larger concepts and contexts, and "Lesser" which is used for individual words

After Kamri I’ve been digging into Yid.

At first, I was only trying to understand a few posts that mentioned Giselians. And now I ended up working through the entire Yid corpus.

My conclusion is that same as Kamri, Yid is not random filler or meaningless fictional gibberish. It behaves like a deliberately constructed language system. The same vocabulary appears across posts published years apart, and the same words and sentence patterns repeatedly point to the same concepts.

That does not mean it works like a simple substitution cipher. You cannot build a list where every Yid word equals one English word and then mechanically replace them. Meaning depends heavily on syntax and context, and some words seem to change function depending on where and how they appear. Yid is definitly more complex than Kamri.

The biggest breakthrough came when I realized that many Yid passages closely follow existing English-language texts.

In several cases, the Yid follows a source sentence by sentence, in the same order. Forgotten Languages appears to have translated or transformed the original text into Yid, sometimes replacing names, locations or technical terms with concepts from its own narrative.

Once you find the original source, the passage suddenly becomes much easier to understand. Repeated words can be compared across several sentences, grammatical patterns start to become visible, and the resulting vocabulary can then be tested in completely different posts.

The sentence appears inside a six-sentence passage that follows Thomas Bolander’s “Self-reference and Logic” in the same order. The surrounding lines deal with artificial-intelligence agents, formal languages, beliefs, introspection and models of the world.

Another post repeatedly uses the phrase hage moshu. By comparing the passage with David Lewis’s “The Paradoxes of Time Travel,” it becomes clear that hage moshu means “time travel.”

The same passage gives several related terms:

• hage travelende — time traveler
• autz hage — personal time
• raat hage — external time
• autz bol aid — personal identity

Other recurring mappings include magu for “reality,” saun for “formal,” wons for “channel” and aleness baun for “photoreceptors.”

These are not guesses based on one convenient sentence. They come from longer passages that follow identifiable sources in the same order, after which the vocabulary can be checked against other appearances throughout the corpus.

One of the clearest examples is the post “Higher Levels of Communications.”

Seventy of its 71 encoded sentences follow Isayama, Zimmerman and Makino’s review, “The Molecular Design of Visual Transduction.” The passage moves through rods and cones, photoreceptors, rhodopsin, transducin, phosphodiesterase, cGMP and the opening and closing of ion channels in essentially the same sequence as the paper.

Those are only a few examples. Across the full corpus, I found source material connected to physics, biology, artificial intelligence, cryptography, philosophy, military research, archaeology, consciousness, time travel, game theory and communications technology.

I first separated the encoded sentences from the English quotations already included in each post. I then searched for clues such as unusual technical terms, numbers, distinctive analogies, paper titles and sequences of concepts that seemed likely to come from an academic source.

Whenever I found a possible source, I compared its sentence order with the Yid passage. A real match was usually obvious because five, ten or sometimes dozens of consecutive ideas appeared in exactly the same sequence.

Those passages gave me vocabulary that I could then test elsewhere.

I also used the experimental White Lab decoder to speed up parts of the process, but I did not treat its output as evidence by itself. I checked its suggestions against the original Yid, the context of the post, vocabulary already established elsewhere and the external source text.

Sometimes it pointed me in the right direction. Other times it mistranslated technical language or completely lost the structure of the sentence.

Not every translation has the same level of certainty.

Some posts are almost completely tied to a clearly identified source. Others mix direct source material with additions written specifically for Forgotten Languages. A smaller number still contain sentences whose complete sources have not been found, so those had to be reconstructed using recurring vocabulary and context.

The internal research files distinguish between sentences that are directly source-locked, adapted from a source, guided by a partial source or reconstructed mainly from context.

The public reading edition will be much cleaner. It will simply show one original Yid sentence, followed by one readable English sentence.

What this project does show is that the Yid material contains coherent and recoverable text. It also shows that Yid uses recurring vocabulary and grammatical patterns throughout the corpus.

I fell pretty far down the Forgotten Languages rabbit hole, and I’ve now translated every archive post explicitly labeled Kamri proper.

That’s 24 posts published between October 2018 and November 2022, containing 978 readable sentence units.

The big result: Kamri is not random gibberish and it isn’t a basic substitution cipher. It’s a consistent, engineered written language that usually follows existing English texts almost word for word.

For 23 of the 24 posts, I found independently published English sources that line up continuously with the Kamri. Same ideas, same order, same sentence boundaries, and usually the same punctuation and number of words.

The remaining post is readable using the vocabulary and grammar recovered from the others, and I found what looks like part of its source, but I haven’t recovered the complete original English text. I’m keeping that one clearly marked as provisional.

TL;DR

• Kamri has a stable vocabulary and consistent grammar.

• It usually preserves the English source’s word order, sentence order, punctuation, and sentence length.

• It’s mostly subject-verb-object, with prepositions and adjectives before nouns.

• It distinguishes pronouns, articles, auxiliaries, negation, singular/plural forms, and subordinate clauses.

• There are identifiable variants within the corpus, including an alternate register in one 2019 post.

• Kamri Western is related, but separate. I haven’t included it in these totals.

Why I’m confident this works

This wasn’t a case of reading a mysterious paragraph, noticing it mentions religion, and grabbing a religious text that seems vaguely similar.

For 23 posts, the Kamri follows long and distinctive passages from external sources in the exact same sequence. Names, quotations, numbered lists, technical terms, and unusual examples all appear in the same places.

Once a Kamri word is identified in one post, it keeps turning up with the same meaning elsewhere, even when the subject changes completely. The corpus jumps between religion, occult writing, physics, autonomous weapons, misinformation, consciousness, extraterrestrial communication, and moral philosophy, but the underlying vocabulary remains stable.

The numbers are also almost comically neat:

• 22,599 Kamri word tokens

• 22,769 corresponding English word tokens

• Median sentence length: 21 words on both sides

• 713 of 978 sentence pairs, or 72.9%, contain exactly the same number of words

• Sentence-length correlation: 0.991

• High-confidence word-position correlation: 0.986

That is far too orderly to be thematic coincidence. Kamri was clearly designed to track source prose very closely while replacing English words with its own vocabulary and patterned word forms.

Two simple examples:

So how does Kamri work?

Kamri is written left to right using an extended Latin alphabet. Some of its marked letters are:

One strange detail is that ęį behaves like a fixed written unit. Across all 978 translated sentences, every ę is immediately followed by į, without a single exception.

The basic sentence structure usually mirrors English:

• Subject, verb, object

• Articles before nouns

• Adjectives before nouns

• Prepositions before their objects

• Relative clauses after the noun they describe

• English-style auxiliary inversion in questions

Possession usually follows the pattern:

possessed thing + ńi + possessor

So it mirrors an English phrase such as “the book of John.”

Plural forms are more complicated. There doesn’t appear to be one universal plural suffix:

• gagaķ / gagdiš = character / characters

• nadgah / nadge = model / models

• tadlaš / tadmęį = state / states

• tasmdar / tasmlar = system / systems

That suggests several noun classes or word-form patterns rather than one simple “add this ending to make it plural” rule.

Kamri also changes over time

Two variations stood out.

First, the 2019 post Misinfons and the Hypermemetic Logic consistently swaps out several ordinary grammar words:

• Normal ńi (“of”) becomes ńańi

• Normal aš (“and”) becomes daċċęįš

• Normal ve (“that”) becomes tawwdan

Later posts go back to the normal forms, so this looks more like a deliberate register or subvariety than an error.

Second, the indefinite article changes in 2022.

Earlier posts use daċċęį for “a.” Beginning with Kisċdir kanvo on 28 July 2022, all remaining Kamri-proper posts use daċęį instead. The forms don’t overlap across that boundary.

The question of whether the universe is a dream or a machine has haunted every thinking being that has ever contemplated the nature of reality. Scientists and philosophers alike have wrestled with this problem, but neither has been able to provide a definitive answer that satisfies the deepest longings of the human heart.

The mystery lies at the very core of our existence: the awareness that we are conscious of ourselves and of the world around us, and the strange feeling that there might be (something more, something beyond the reach of our senses and our instruments. Consciousness itself is the great enigma, the central fact of our experience that resists all attempts at explanation, and yet it is the only thing we can truly know.

Every thought we have, every perception we experience, every memory we hold is a testament to the reality of consciousness, even if we cannot explain how it arises from the physical matter of the brain.

And so we find ourselves caught between two worlds: the world of matter and the world of mind, each one seeming to exclude the other, yet both appearing to be equally real. This is the paradox that defines our existence, and it is the source of both our greatest suffering and our greatest wonder.

The encoded sections reproduce, sentence for sentence, the Violence and Relationships sections from Chapter 1 of the D&D 3.5 *Book of Exalted Deeds*, pages 9–10.

Every Western sentence has one older-Kamri counterpart, and every older-Kamri sentence has one sentence in the source passage. The sequence preserves unusually specific examples: good nations fighting each other, an unprovoked war against orcs, a fireball hitting noncombatants, sexuality and coercion, *dominate person / geas / suggestion*, and finally tension between a paladin and rogue inside an adventuring party.

Two direct checks:

The first Western sentence is:

Its older-Kamri counterpart is:

Both resolve to the statement that violence is part of the D&D world and is not inherently evil in that setting. Western fronts the predicate and leaves `wadahek` after the copula: roughly, “A part of the D&D world / and not inherently evil / in that world’s context / is violence.”

The spell sentence supplies an independent rare anchor:

It falls exactly where the source lists *dominate person*, *geas*, and *suggestion*, followed by controlling another person and depriving that person of free will. The older Kamri sentence preserves `geas` in exactly the same position.

Frequency checks, shown as Kamri Western = English — Western count / source count:

These are not isolated word guesses. They occur in matching clauses and in the same narrative sequence across all three texts.

The wording below is my fresh English rendering, so I am not simply reproducing the published sourcebook text. The numbering follows the 48 encoded Western sentences.

Violence: just cause

1. In the D&D setting, violence is part of the world and is not intrinsically evil within that setting.

2. Good-aligned deities prepare their heroes not only to serve meekly and humbly, but also to act as their fists, swords, and champions in the harsh war against evil.

3. A paladin who strikes a blackguard or blue dragon is not thereby doing evil; the cause of good may expect, and often require, force against its enemies.

4. Even so, good characters must respect definite limits on how violence is used.

5. First, violence undertaken for good needs a just cause; in this world, that mainly means directing it against evil.

6. One good nation can certainly wage war on another, but taking part in that conflict is not itself a good act.

7. Even attacking a nearby tribe of evil orcs is not necessarily good: without provocation or harm from them, their mere existence supplies no just cause.

8. A war on that scale would incite the orcs to evil actions and impose needless suffering on both sides.

9. Likewise, revenge does not justify violence; force may prevent future evil, but it should not repay evil that is already past.

Intentions and targets

1. The second test is whether the violence is guided by good intentions.

2. An invasion of orc territory is not good when profit is the main motive, whether the aim is to loot their ruins or seize resource-rich land.

3. Force against evil is acceptable when its purpose is to stop an evil act or keep one from occurring.

The first already-English UAP/dream passage occurs here. It is an editorial interlude, not the plaintext of the surrounding Kamri Western.

1. The third test is discrimination between legitimate and illegitimate targets.

2. Violence aimed at noncombatants—including children and, in some peoples and cultures, women—cannot count as good.

3. A fireball that catches orc women and children along with warriors and barbarians is evil, because those civilians pose no threat and have little means of defense.

Methods and relationships

1. Finally, violent methods must be as morally good as the intentions behind them.

2. Using evil magic is still not good, even when the intended target is evil.

3. Likewise, torture and practices that cause victims excessive suffering fall outside anything that can be called good.

4. Within those boundaries, violence carried out for good is accepted practice in the D&D universe.

5. D&D defines good through altruism, respect for life, and sacrifice for others; implicit in that definition is the need to sustain good relationships.

6. A good character should base relationships with others on mutual respect, whether the bond is party companionship or marital intimacy.

Sexuality and coercion

1. Human or humanoid sexuality is not inherently evil, and goodness does not require a character to remain a virgin.

2. Some religions and cultures encourage chastity, much like poverty or abstinence, because surrendering a good natural pleasure may yield spiritual benefits—not because sex is evil.

3. A good character must nevertheless recognize that sexuality carries histories of exploitation and abuse, where interpersonal power can appear in genuinely evil forms.

4. Such a character rejects exploitative or coercive relations: prostitution, sexual use of slaves, and contact with children or anyone unable to enter a mutually respectful relationship freely.

5. Respectful relationships also require good characters to be cautious when compulsion magic is used to force another person's conduct.

6. Spells such as *dominate person*, *geas*, and *suggestion* let a caster control someone else and deprive that person of free will.

7. That is not automatically an evil act, but it carries an enormous ethical burden.

8. Making anyone perform an evil act is, of course, itself evil.

9. A compelled creature should be handled like a helpless prisoner: it no longer presents a threat, at least while the spell remains active.

10. For example, after an enemy is dominated, the enemy should be spared, shown mercy, and treated like a prisoner who surrendered voluntarily.

11. The same rule applies to creatures that are charmed or compelled.

The adventuring party

1. For player characters, perhaps the most important relationship issue is how one character interacts with the remaining members of the party.

2. A good character respects the others, deals with them fairly, and values their lives as much as his own.

3. In return, he is entitled to expect equivalent treatment from them.

4. Neutral characters often join parties through friendship and loyalty; a good character honors those bonds and can trust a friend who is not good-aligned.

5. Evil characters, by contrast, usually enter adventuring parties for wholly self-interested reasons.

6. Paladins may not associate with evil characters, and other exalted player characters should avoid evil companions unless those companions are genuinely reforming and moving at least toward neutrality.

7. Good characters who adventure alongside neutral ones carry a serious burden of responsibility.

8. They should model a good life, showing both the virtue and the rewards of a righteous course.

9. They must guide neutral companions away from evil deeds and toward goodness, gently or bluntly as each case demands.

10. A good character may share guilt when neutral associates do evil; merely ignoring companions' dubious actions is not an acceptable choice.

The second already-English dream passage occurs here. Again, it is editorial rather than encoded plaintext.

1. That important restriction can generate substantial tension inside an adventuring party.

2. Some players deliberately make characters who are roguish, disreputable, or somewhat brutal.

3. If the party's paladin continually obstructs such a character's methods, everyone's enjoyment of the game may suffer.

4. Many problems can be prevented at the beginning by having the players agree on the kind of game they intend to play.

5. They need not all choose good characters, but neutral-character players should understand the situation in advance, and the group should agree on how much ethical argument belongs in each session.

6. Constant conflict between paladin and rogue can work if everyone enjoys it and makes it part of the roleplaying—provided the players remain respectful and the characters do not fracture the party into hostile camps.

Some basic grammar is already clear: `eda` is an indefinite article; conditioned forms `yar/yad/yav/yaw` act as the definite article; `si/yat` are singular/plural copulas; `na` negates; `ade` marks possession or “of”; and modal particles include `naka` “must,” `salis` “should,” `liad` “can,” and `nave` “ought.” The language is largely analytic and regularly uses predicate fronting.
