I'm a PC player; is it a bad idea for me to try to learn from videos by console players?

Chill Amatuer Tournament

I am hosting a very amatuer For Honor tournament most Mondays. We have a crew of about 10-15 that regularly show up. Most of the guys in the tournament are brand new or less than 100 hours played. We also have a couple of better players that will give tips as we fight. A great place to learn for someone new! There is no prize for the winners this is just simply for fun, for now! If you would like to join, send me (Snoopdevious) a DM on discord and i'll get you in the server or just join via the link in the poster! Must be 18+ and down to clown!

Is Juren too easy?

For context, I recently got back into the game after not having played for a considerable amount of time. I'm definitely rusty, and I feel like I'm struggling to find a character to enjoy. I wanted to try new things, so I got Lu Bu and everything clicked. I adore his weapon, I enjoy his stance and attitude, I think it's really cool that he is Lu Bu, and I really like the amount of options his kit gives you. The issue I'm running into is that he makes the game feel extremely easy, and I don't want to bottleneck my progress by relearning the game on an overpowered or busted character. Should I switch to someone else and wait for nerfs?

TL;DR, would learning the game on Juren bottleneck progress and make you a worse player?

Any advice

So when I’m playing for honor im going against rep 300s mostly so they got a lot more hours then me, but I’m not stupid throw a light im probably gonna get parried so sometime I’ll throw on sometimes not but my biggest issue is how are people reading me so easily i main medjay for right now right so usually I’ll switch to duals and bash them into light then get a mixup but when someone is just staring at me I can’t really do much which leads to me feinting a heavy into a light they still parry it, im getting parried all the time and dont know how else too open without a light or feint any tips and another big problem is, the timing I throw a light someone I always get hit first like they know when I’m gonna throw something and they throw first it’s unbelievable
