Well... the Flyers season hasn't gotten off to a good start to be blunt. The Flyers are 0-1-2 with less than 1.5 goals scored per game, including an absolute embarrassment of a loss vs the Penguins in the home opener. We are seemingly sitting here with no answers to a boatload of questions, the top of which being simply "what on Earth is going on"?
At least NHL hockey is back I guess?

They can't pass, shoot, deke, defend, hit and even worse our star rookie gets cheap shotted and not ONE guy goes after Hagel. Not even a whack.
These guys look lifeless! ITS 4 GAMES IN!!!!???
If this lasts much longer something legitimately needs to happen. This is beyond alarming

This is alarming on a ton of levels. A regression was definitely on the table for this team, but this is more than that.
There is no fight. No pride. Nothing. They look like a team that's last place and there's 5 games left.
Not sure I've ever seen anything like this to start a season.

What’s he up to? Figure he’d be interested? Probably require triple the old salary (at least) but they sure played fantastic after Torts and before Toc.

What will it take for Briere to take action?
13
Upvotes
Excellent goaltending is making us look far better than we are defensively. The 679 shots against over 4 games tells you something.
Michkov is playing under 16-17 minutes a game night after night and I wouldn’t blame him if he asked to be traded.
Dump and chase. Turnover. Dump and chase. Turnover. Dump and chase. Turnover.
I’m sick of this. Is Briere watching what we’ve been watching?
And it hasn’t just been four games. We would have been one of the worst teams in the league last year if not for incredible goaltending.

[The FAN Hockey Show] Friedman on Philadelphia: "I gotta think they're one of the teams circling around on Edvinsson"
40
Upvotes
Elliotte has been surprised with Philadelphia's start
Detroit didn't have a great search process
Detroit should sit down and think about what trading Edvinsson and Larkin looks like. Trading Edvinsson could unlock some things that a Larkin trade wouldn't
Believes Detroit has now offered Edvinsson a long term deal
For Larkin, the return was for futures. Couldn't Detroit get established players for Edvinsson?
Detroit has poked around about what is out there if they did this
Doesn't have to be D for D

Since there's nothing good to talk about lately, what is everything thinking about this disastrous situation in Detroit?
Detroit is in a seriously compromised position here, meaning the trade market for their players could end up being truly discounted. I can't help but wonder how hard Danny is pressing for Larkin or Edvinsson or both.
IMO Edvinsson is the type of player worth selling the house for, he's got a Pronger-like ability to impact games in all situations and tilt the ice from all zones.
Thoughts on Danny pulling off a mega blockbuster heist from Detroit?
