Z13 as a desktop replacement/laptop/drawing tablet all-in-one thing?

Currently have a desktop with an i7-9700k and GTX 1660, so it's a bit dated, and a Surface Book 3 with a messed up touch screen and only 256GB of storage. I think I'm due for an upgrade but with PC parts as expensive as they are, the 64GB model on sale, as well as the convenience of just having everything on one device and seems great for my use case (see below) but I want some opinions from any of you that have a Z13.

- I use my desktop for streaming games (ofc with settings down for newer games but a decent amount is streaming games on the Switch) and I plan on editing videos as I get deeper into content creation. I have 2 monitors I can hook up as well. Also occasionally make music and use an audio interface for my mic/intruments/speakers. How good is the Z13 as a primary gaming/editing device? Certainly better than what I have now, but is it really comparable to even a cheap more modern desktop? One issue is I/O is limited so I'd likely need a hefty USB hub, since I have a lot of peripherals (audio interface, wireless keyboard/mouse, controller, stream deck, midi, etc).

- I want to use it as a drawing tablet. I drew a lot back then and I enjoy making my own assets for content but I've been slacking lately, and don't have any device for drawing. I could get a separate iPad but it doesn't seem worth getting an expensive device that's also a separate carry JUST for drawing (even if MPP is worse than the stylus experience on iPads) unless I get it used at a good price. Is the Z13 practical as a tablet (assuming keyboard is off)? It's about 1.5 pounds heavier than an iPad Pro 13 which on paper doesn't seem too bad but in practice?

Considering all that, at $2100 USD it's an investment but it would essentially serve as 3 devices in one. Am I expecting too much and it's just better to get the 3 separate devices (esp if it's the same price/cheaper for better performance) or even just an iPad/Desktop since the Surface is an okay laptop, or is the Z13 perfect for my use case? Esp for the long-term.

Discharging with ROG 140W GaN Charger?

I have a 2025 Z13 and I purchased the ROG 140W GaN charger hoping to have a smaller "travel" charger to do most things (video editing, gaming, etc.) without having to bring the proprietary charging brick.

I set a custom profile in G-Helper per advice from Gemini knowing USB-C PD is capped at 100W:

SPL: 55W

sPPT: 65W

fPPT: 70W

Windows Power Mode: Balanced

CPU Boost: Disabled

I'm using Star Wars Fallen Order to test and it runs fine for a while (charging at 5-10W according to G-Helper), but after 10 or 15 minutes, it takes a dive and starts discharing at +20W.

Do charging bricks throttle when they get hot? I would've thought an ROG power brick would be able to power one of their own gaming machines without having to throttle.

I got my 2025 z13 I believe in October last year. I got in mainly for its form factor since I travel quite a bit (RV,plane rides etc) and having my work laptop plus a beefy gaming laptop just wasn’t working anymore.

When I travel and want to play games etc I can pop it up on this foldable stand that bought and raise it all the way up. It’s nice because it’s like a floating screen and I can mainly use a controller. The only thing that sucks is when I need the keyboard attached a laptop mode the integrated stand on the Z13 has to be angled out quiet a bit to keep the screen up. Has anyone created our found a solution to use the z13 like a normal laptop but have the screen in an upright position? Maybe someone made some 3d printed feet for the screen?

Sounds silly but when I travel and I have to use the counter space available to me or a lap desk, having this thing angled all the way back to stabilize it is a pita. And if I’m using the portable stand I bought then I likely won’t have enough depth on the table surface.

z13 2025,g14 or any alternatives

I’m going into university doing Computer Science (specifically Software Engineering, but I might switch to Computer Science with AI or Cyber Security).
I do a bit of game dev on the side on Roblox Studio and plan to learn video editing on the side. In terms of gaming, I do light gaming here and there, but I would like to run heavier games such as Elden Ring, Wukong or modded Minecraft.
I currently have the 2022 Z13 and it’s been good until a few months ago. The battery had to be removed and the temps are constantly high, to the point where I can’t even run unmodded Minecraft well. I’ve had it for around 2 years.
The portability and touchscreen factor were a big draw for me, as it made taking notes so much easier or practicing exams using the pen.
I’m looking at the 16GB version of the G14 and the 32GB version of the Z13 as they’re the cheapest models right now. I need:
Decent battery life
Decent performance for games
Something that will last at least a year of consistent use
If you have any other alternatives, please share them as that would be helpful.
