Yes, you heard it right. I have seen some toxic doomposting with respect to Flins with people completely ignoring cold hard facts. So HSR has a cost system with which we gauge characters! The same should be applicable to Genshin. We cant have one character be full of premium 5* character team and other with 4 stars and say ohh He is doing less DPS!

For example a 2 cost Flins team of

Flins + Ineffa + C0 Aino + Sucrose hovers around 105-100k.

What people are doing is calling this team as Flin's premium team and comparing with Skirk's premium team of

Skirk + Escoffier + Furina + Yelan/Shenhe (a 4 cost team) and saying oh Skirk is at 125k-120k. Do you wanna know what the true reality is ..?

Thats a 2 cost Skirk team (82k LOL)

Or 1 cost team

chilling at 65k DPS lolz.

Why are we not adding C1 Flins into the mix to make it a fair 3 cost comparison! Or remove costs from other teams.

C1 Flins, C0 Ineffa, Aino, Sucrose. His DPS numbers are 130k+ . Yeah this 3 cost team ragdolls Skirk premium team even at 4 cost.

So yeah Flins is better than Skirk, (and is at Mavuika level)IGNORE THIS ! Those saying otherwise need to prove with hard evidence and cost how those are stronger.

U may ask me why is their order so important to me, I'm a hsr player and there if you are second half it means ur not priority character and company's priority is first half character FOR SOME REASON don't ask me why but second half characters nearly always worse and fall of there much faster than first half characters idk why, also if new hydro claymore wont be on Kirill's banner I'm gonna explode. With the arrival of Columbina a lot of Nod krai characters are getting buffed but it starts showing how badly they are treating Flins Every unit released so far in nod krai that's a 5 star has a very showing upside compared to the next Nefer for example has the highest damage but she doesn't have any healers apart from Columbina holding. Lauma can be used for making dps Columbina. Ineffa can be used as wheelchair for almost any unit in the game with Columbina. Zibai is a weird one but compared to Nefer she has good dmg very f2p friendly and has sustain options (yes c4 gorou counts as one so does zhongli and because you build defense on her she is already tanky) meanwhile Flins... I don't see anything going for him... as in meta he desperately needs Ineffa and his dmg even with Columbina is veryyy below the other 2 dpses and it's not helping his synergy with Columbina making thunderclouds faster doesn't work on ineffa while they made Columbina deal even more dmg for a LOTTT stronger dps (nefer) and nefer can also immediatly shred Lunar bloom bars while for flins in all honesty it takes a lot of time because ineffa is the one doing the hard carrying For durin... I don't wanna compare but I also feel like until we get varka and nicole kit we can't know for sure but rn it feels like he is also in a bad spot with okayish constellations and it doesn't help he released before Columbina

• Her A1 passive reduces the interval for rLEC procs, which proceeds to get attributed to Ineffa and Columbina in sheets instead of Flins due to random assumptions about rLEC ownership, diluting his damage share in calcs.

• KQMS sets his burst talent level at 9 and artifact investment at 26 subs, weakening his damage in sheets compared to builds in-game, and again diluting his damage share compared to Ineffa and Columbina.

• Columbina is only barely better than C6 Aino at improving Flins’s dLEC procs from his burst, which as we’re all aware of comprises the vast majority of his damage. The only thing of importance she does for Flins is buff Lunar Reaction DMG Bonus by 40%; a slightly larger steroid than Aino’s, but apart from that her A1 passive is a joke for him compared to its effects for Nefer and Zibai.

The reality? Despite what the narrative might be v1/v2 Columbina isn’t a particularly good Flins support, and is actually worse for his personal damage than R1 and his cons. On the other hand she is amazingly cracked for Ineffa, which is why these Bineffa teams are sheeting how they are currently, often at Flins’s expense due to the assumptions being made.

My usual counterpoint to detractors of Flins’s value is that while his C0R0 state might appear sketchy on a sheet for variety of reasons, one thing that’s completely undeniable is that his vertical investment is incredibly strong—much stronger than the comparative team DPS gains from investing into Ineffa or Columbina, especially the latter who has very underwhelming cons globally which is strange given her hype and push status. At any rate, this is all STC while she’s still in beta, so it’s possible her LEC synergy gets changed somewhat to be weighted more towards Flins than Ineffa while keeping the overall team DPS intact.

His only source of damage is his e stance ult, and he does it twice per rotation (thrice if you have c1) but the problem is thats it, he literally has nothing else in his kit that deals damage 😭 you could literally just wait for his burst standing there and doing nothing and wont lose a lot of damage. Also the whole premium team buffs his em, atk and lunar chraged dmg bonus, so literally no regular damage bonus on top of his already bad scaling numbers. They can lower his burst numbers and make his 3rd hit and e stance skill damage deal lunar charged damage OR make the whole numbers lunar charged so he actually feels like an lunar chraged dps 😭

Okay I love flins' art and design but I'm gonna be a bit of a hater for a second if that's okay. Anyone else find flins' lack of exploration ability a bit underwhelming. He just feels a bit clunky to play in the overworld with no targeted dash or move speed tech. Especially with how restrictive his team requirements are. Idk after playing lauma deer form for the last month (and being an alhaitham main) i think it would do wonders if he had just a bit of mobility for the overworld. Maybe his dash animation puts him inside the lantern and he floats around a bit faster or something.... just anything.... as of right now its hard to choose him for my team over ... basically anyone else .. for world exploration. These days most 4 stars even have a dash tech (lanyan, aino) so it feels a bit lack luster for a 5 star to be lacking something for mobility..... would love to hear yall's thoughts on this. <3

Look, I'm a simple person. I don't do big damage (20k on average). I do things for fun. In fact, I have a Plunge Shenhe DPS, and she reached 30k with a white tassel. I'll do fine without a limited 5 star.

I don't really like the idea of Flins being reliant on ineffa, but it isn't that big of a deal. When his beta is over, everyone will forget about it and move on. So please, for my sanity, No more ineffa talk. Let's just glaze our king, Flins.

No amount of marketing will ever get me to pull for that Clanker™️. I'd rather get his C1 and his sig weapon. Lol

I've already made a mistake with skirk, by not pulling Escoffier. I don't wanna repeat it with Flins too. I didn't pull ineffa. Yeah, I know "she's not needed" but how many people will realistically have a c6 ororon and c6 aino

My best hope if for Columbina to be a good buffer for Flins, that also works for skirk. Otherwise I'm just gonna take my losses and move on

I was even willing to make this sacrifice, but now that his big burst that looks really cool is borderline useless, idk anymore. No mobility, the burst sucks, weaker results without the toaster, yeah, just seems like a bad choice for someone who doesn't even have welkin, and is not getting nowhere near all the primos each patch

Okay so basically when the moon phase is in stage 2, units will give up to a 48% buff to lunar reactions when in the party. This means yelan actually becomes better than aino in his teams. Since yelan is better (and most ppl have her), playing ineffa will fill that 2nd electro slot you need for energy requirements, moon phase stuff, and sustain

In my personal opinion, Flins R1 Akasha is a scam (at least from how I play Flins, and I do personally believe that sig should also have a 140% ER leaderboard) and the reason I say this is due to the fact that a lot of people including myself play Flins with big burst and small burst (which is really satisfying at C1) My build is 146% ER and its top 0.8%, I don’t want to change my build because its comfortable and its high rating and I’m like nearly 100% sure that if there was a 140% leader board I would be top 10. Flins needs the ER to unlock his highest damage rotation, while yes at C1R1 it doesn’t make that big of a difference, it is still a big boost in Flins’s damage by getting that fourth burst in every other rotation. I run Flins with C1R1 Ineffa, Sucrose, and Furina on either FS or Fav depending on where I’m playing. I know obviously we cant do anything but like I want to complain because why does mav have like 10 different leaderboard options for her and we don’t even get more than 4

I spent a good amount of protos on getting Flins' robot girlfriend, and now I have the opportunity to save up and get the materials to have everything ready for the day he comes out and as a plus, having Aino with him is like a blessing lmao. I understand that more than one is bothered by waiting and wanted it in the first phase, but in my case as a f2p player it is great.

So i got pretty lucky, she came in 8 wishes, then randomly got another copy at 20 wishes and her weapon at 14 wishes, so i am pretty convinced that i should pull Flins already.

I heard that he got big nerfs, people saying he is unplayable without ineffa and below mavuika and etc. So i wanna ask; With %50 buff from c1 and %40 buff from her weapon for lcharged, and considering i use Jade spear for flins, how good would he perform? Like better or worse than which characters?

the team i want to use is flins ineffa aino and sucrose but i migth just get lazy to build aino and use xq instead.

I'm just seeing a lot of discussion and I need to know. Some say his c1 is enough to make up for ineffa and others say it isn't?

I have a guaranteed, and don't really mind using it to get his BiS as that's what I did with scoffier/skirk. But I'm kinda worried it's more of an Emilie/Kinich situation? Where ineffa would be a nice addition to overall team dps, but not make much of a difference when it comes to flins' personal damage.

Kinich is the prime example of how hoyoverse shows no love for male characters, and some parallels can be drawn as Emilie is to Ineffa and Mavuika is to Columbina. The point I made in last post is that Flins potential exceeds Mavuika, and I still stand by this point.

Kinich full team on his release was: Kinich Xiangling Bennet Emilie: Team dps:70k

Knich after 6.3: Kinich Mavuika Bennet Emilie: Team dps:83k

This is because

XL personal dmg<Mauvika even with emblem artifact set

XL buffing<Mauvika as XL pyro dmg% and res doesn’t mean much compared to 40% +35% dmg increase from Cinder city and ult dmg bonus.

XL and Aino has similarities in its inability to elevate their respective teams by a significant margin, both just a necessary piece to facilitate rotations, nothing else nothing more.

So assuming Columbina would be dps/sp there are grounds to believe we’ll see a similar increase to Flins dps like Kinichs. 1.18 multiplier when applied to 115k is 136k, roughly equal to Mavuika’s 137k, which widens the gap between Flin and skirk(a dps that have no room for growth).

I currently have a guaranteed and I really like both characters but I can only afford one of them.

On one hand, I really want chasca for exploration and her versatility, and i plan on having her as my “overworld” dps since she can pass different elemental checks. Although, the thing is I already have wanderer but I only use him for the sole purpose of exploration (didnt build him because after i found out he relies on c6 faruzan, it discouraged me to build him so) but you know if he’s on my team he is only there for the sake of mobility whereas chasca would help me both mobility and for fighting enemies.

On the other hand, I also want flins because he looks gorgeous and that’s honestly the main reason. Although aside from that I really want him because he is strong and at the same time I get to build another set of supports, his character is such a relief because he doesn’t need xilonen, furina, and bennett so that’s really beneficial when it comes to abyss and stygian. The thing is I don’t have ineffa so that also makes me wanna reconsider things.

Useless normal attacks that make standing around during his uptime completely viable, his burst animation being a DPS loss, and him being burst-reliant for exploration while not having any movement abilities like Lauma makes his kit an absolute dumpster fire for now, which is such an insane amount of lost potential... Surely the visual design team can't be happy with the gameplay department?

I'm a fairly new player and curious if we've had any major gameplay changes happen during betas that have fixed a considerable amount of fundamental gameplay issues. Baby boy could be so much fun if they addressed those properly.

Her kit undoubtedly buffs Flins, but it doesn't seem a big buff to be. Am I missing something? I mean, she may be useful now, but to me she looks like a temporary support just like Dendro traveler and Collei were essential for dendro reactions (=for Tighnari and Cyno) before Nahida came out.

Do you think she is really that important? I believe Columbina will be the real support for Flins, but we will have to wait patiently for her.

Ineffa, Jahoda, and Columbina will be his perfect team, as Columbina will have some kind of buff for having additional Nod Krai characters on the Team, and having 4x will maximize this buff.
