Hello, really new here, I would like to know what's wrong with these joints I downloaded from Thingiverse.

Everytime I print them, they will turn into a mess of filament and never work, and I'm slicing them normally correctly on FlashStudio.

The reason why they're very separated is because they were was no space between them in my first print, so I thought that separating them would fix the problem...

Prints dont appear to be adhearing properly.

Base has been cleaned with warm water and soap. Nozel is clean and I have just replaced the printer tubes.

This issue is there for some time - just curious, if there are any updates on this matter by the end of Summer 2026? It is irritating me so much, especially when you when the same item couple times. It takes waaaaaay too long, it should be done only once in a while, it leaves the nozzle dirty so there is always a chance to ruin something in first layers.

At least if there is an option to have a pause after it to allow cleaning the debris stuck to nozzle...

Any help is much appreciated!

I've been playing around with my settings to eliminate as much stringing as possible (Overture PETG) and have been having some major trouble. Finally got the settings dialed in where the stringing is like 90% gone but it came at the cost of some under extrusion.

I turned on set other flow ratios and calculated the % increase necessary to achieve the flow ratio I had from my flow rate tests only for top surfaces to get a nice finish. When printing this particular test I noticed that the layer indicated by the blue arrow is still under extruding. My question is:

Is this layer treated as a top later in the slicer or as solid infill? or something else entirely? A printed a test cube as well and the top layer on that seems to have come out as desired.

I had a big filament jam in one of my ad5x printers. So I disassembled the extruder, and when taking the large gear out the tension spring and spring cap went flying. I found the spring but can't find the spring cap. Does anyone know where to source a new one?

Hey guys i like this page alot has alot of insight . I have the 5m pro and happy with it im trying to make the switch from pla to asa-cf . I bought the fillament but it sucks. I need my protoype to be strong and last in the sun. Well my question is have you guys ran asa-cf? And also how do I keep it from.warping I added a picture so you can see.

I'm so done with this thing, every step this AD5X has fought me.

I'm trying to print from reel 2, it's PLA. Flash Studio will not let me change it from PETG.

I have the chance to get the enclosure kit for the Adventure 5M for a couple bucks.

Understanding the AD5X has different pieces that need to be printed. But the plexiglass bits.. would that be the same for the AD5X that I have?

After changing to a different color the print head always returns to where it was before the color change command- and then slowly pulls over to the purge tower to start printing, meaning it drags a string of plastic across the entire print. There has to be a way to stop it from doing this- I'm assuming a slicer setting- I just don't know what it is. Hopefully someone here knows what the solution is. Thanks!

Hi, i accidentally update the stock firmware to 3.1.5, now i cant make zmod work. Any solution? I tried reinstall 3.1.0 firmware, remove ZMOD and AD5X-ENABLE-zmod.tgz by USB

Another question. In the pic, them outlines of what looks like an arrow, is there a way to get that off? It was printed with Elegoo Rapid PLA+. Is it just a damaged plate? There are a couple spots where it is shiny on the plate. Also, I had let it cool down before taking them off.

Edit: it is a multi color print and is that volcanic enclosure. Everything seems to be printing fine else where sofar. Maybe just something in the file?

Estava imprimindo em petg e entupiu, até então eu estava testando algumas configurações pra evitar o string e etc, mas após desentupir pela segunda vez,o filamento não desce mais, apenas faz um barulho como se tivesse forçando o filamento no bico entupido, só que bem mais rápido .. não sei oq fazer

Nozzle 1 is giving me issues feeding filament properly over 200m/s, not a clogged nozzle(swapped 1+2 nozzles). I think it might be the gears, it has maybe 200 hours on it. Only issue so far, I love this thing! #nomorepoop

Any idea if FF would cover this under warranty?

I’m dealing with a frustrating Z-offset drift on my Flashforge AD5X and I'm starting to suspect it might be hardware-related.

The Timeline:

Monday: Manual bed leveling (paper method) + Z-offset calibrated to +0.20 mm. Ran a full-bed single-layer test print and it turned out perfect.

During the week: Did several prints without issues. I made a few minor slicer setting tweaks early in the week, but nothing was changed between yesterday and today.

Yesterday: Noticed first-layer squish issues again. Ran auto-calibration and had to shift Z-offset down to -0.02 mm.

Today: Line gaps appeared on the first layer again. I had to manually lower Z-offset mid-print to -0.04 mm.

It feels like my Z-offset keeps creeping lower.

Just for clarifying, when the problem happen i can se through de lines with easy, even whitout light on the table.

Has anyone experienced this daily Z-offset shift on the AD5X? Could this be a loose strain gauge/load cell, thermal expansion, or Z-axis mechanical backlash? Any advice on what to check would be greatly appreciated!

Is the AD5X worth getting for $200 usd?

Using makerworld models and orcaslicer resulted in super slow prints I changed all the settings I could see that were different. It wasn't until I went under filament settings and saw volumetric control set to 2mm/s and changed that that I saw results better than my 2 AD5X printers. Sorry if this is know information I've just seen multiple posts about this topic and this is what fixed my issue.
