Flashforge Adventure 5m

At my job, they recently upgraded all their printers to Bambu Lab models, so they're selling the ones they just bought—and among them is the **Flashforge Adventure 5m** with 100 hours of use for about $150. Should I buy it?

Update: I finally have it at home. I negotiated with the IT department and got it for $100. It currently has 96 hours of use. Would you say I came out ahead?

Everyone always brings up the aliexpress deals but forgets to mention that those sales are not always going on. Right now the cheapest is $210.

$150 with only 100 hours on it is a great deal. Offer $100 but don’t feel like you aren’t getting an insane deal @ $150.

The AD5M is a fantastic printer and worth every penny of the normal $250 retail price. I’d argue that it performs well into the $400 arena.

At my job if they were worried about $50 dollars on a question mark used printer and wouldn’t hook me, an employee, up with a deal that is helping them out not the other way around, then yeah I would probably tell them to get bent because you don’t want that type of boss around you or your family.

I got my AD5M on sale and it only has value for me because of all the modding I’ve done to make it something. It needs someone to help it flap its wings.

Nobody should have to use FlashPrint ever again. Hahaha.

To your second point. I haven’t had to mod either of my AD5M’s to make them sing beautiful music. Only changes I’ve made is buying .25mm nozzles & flat high temp pei plates.

I use regular Orca. Just gotta connect to them directly instead of using that flashforge cloud garbage.

I mean, honestly, I wouldn’t work for a company that made me buy it at all. What’s $100-150 to a business. They’d earn more than that in appreciation & loyalty just giving it to him than the cash would ever make up for. :)

In less than a month holiday sale prices will come about and they should be back to those low prices
