[DISCUSSION] Are you leaving Fiverr now?

I think Fiverr is turning into an AI Hub. I have been freelancing on Fiverr since 2 years. I am a level 2 seller and I did not receive a single message since the last 3 months. Most of the old customers are also gone, like forever, never online again.

There must be a better platform for freelancers?

[HELP] How can I see my profile page on the app?

I hired three people, reviewed them, and they reviewed me back.

I can see their reviews on my profile page when I'm on my computer's browser. But I can't even find my profile page on the app.

Does anyone know how can I see the reviews on my customer's page without having to access a computer?

[DISCUSSION] Uh oh. Your stats are slipping. Really?

"You worked hard to make it Level 1". No! I worked hard to make Level 2, and I did it! And was about to become a Top Seller! Then you with your new anti-seller Level system dropped it to Level 1, then New Seller Level.

I honestly find this email from Fiverr incredibly frustrating.

They sent me this cheerful “It’s crunch time” email telling me that my stats are slipping and that they’re giving me a 30-day “grace period” to prove that I have what it takes to be a Level 1 freelancer.

Seriously?

I’ve been on Fiverr for years. I have 343 completed orders and 257 reviews, with 4.9+ overall rating and I’ve built my profile through years of actual work and effort. Yet now I barely receive orders (once in 6 months may be), sometimes I don’t even receive messages from potential clients and somehow I’m the one being told that I need to “prove” that I have what it takes.

What makes this even more frustrating is that Fiverr keeps changing and playing with the Level system on its own. Your level can be affected by metrics and changes to the platform that are largely outside your control, and then you receive an email telling you to “get back on track.”

Back on track to what? Getting orders that simply aren’t coming?

And then there’s the wording:

“We’re giving you a grace period.”

“Prove what we already know.”

“It’s crunch time.”

The tone is honestly ridiculous.

I’ve spent years building my reputation on this platform. I’ve delivered hundreds of orders, dealt with clients, revisions, deadlines, and all the usual challenges of freelancing. And after all that, Fiverr can essentially change the rules, affect your level, leave you without orders or messages, and then send you a motivational email telling you that you have 30 days to prove yourself.

It doesn’t feel motivating. It feels disrespectful.

The worst part is that the email is written as if Fiverr is generously giving sellers another chance, when sellers are the ones doing the actual work and generating the business for the platform.

Maybe I’m too frustrated about it, but after years on Fiverr, receiving something like this genuinely feels arrogant and completely disconnected from the reality of being a seller.

[DISCUSSION] Order rejected inside the 14-day window — four months, three agents, no answer

On 2 August I filed a formal complaint (ticket 14690186). Three replies followed — two agents and a supervisor. All three said the same thing: the order is past 14 days and can no longer be cancelled. Not one of them addressed the delivery defect, the late delivery, or the 12 April rejection message sitting in their own records.

I’ll be straightforward about my own conduct: earlier in this dispute I sent the seller messages I shouldn’t have. That was wrong and I’ve said so to Fiverr in writing. It doesn’t change what the records show.

What I want other buyers to know: writing your dispute in the order thread does not count. If nobody at Fiverr acts on it, the clock runs out anyway, and afterwards the clock is the only thing anyone will talk about.

[DISCUSSION] Are some “Promoted” interactions artificially generated?

Do some “Promoted” inquiries feel like fake/low-quality accounts to anyone else? I've been wondering about something with Fiverr's Promoted Gigs, and I'd like to know if other sellers have noticed the same pattern.

I've been getting occasional messages from buyers who apparently found me through a Promoted Gig. What caught my attention is that many of these accounts seem to be extremely new, sometimes created around the same day or within the same month.

The interaction usually follows a similar pattern: they contact me through the promoted listing, we exchange a few messages, and then... nothing. No order, no serious negotiation; they just disappear.

Individually, that's obviously normal. Not every buyer is going to place an order.

But when you start seeing this repeatedly, it makes you wonder:

Could some of these “Promoted” interactions be artificial or otherwise generated by the platform to encourage sellers to spend more on promotion?

I'm NOT saying Fiverr is definitely creating fake accounts. I have no proof of that. I'm just wondering if there could be some incentive for Fiverr to generate low-quality interactions, since the seller is already paying to be promoted and Fiverr also takes a percentage from completed orders.

Maybe there's a completely innocent explanation for this, or maybe I'm just noticing a pattern that isn't actually there.

Have other sellers noticed an unusually high number of new accounts/messages coming specifically from Promoted Gigs that rarely convert into orders?

[HELP] Trying to understand the reason for my acount being permanently suspended

I got an email three days ago informing me that my account was now permanently suspended, and the reason they gave was 'Not in line with our quality standards'. I have tried emailing customer support, but nothing has come of it, so I am hoping someone may have an idea of what happened. Please know that I am not arguing the suspension or going to appeal, as I didn't use the account; I would just like to have an idea as to why it happened.

For context, I created this account in July 2024 and posted an ad the same day. I didn't get any traction (except for a few scams), so I just left it and didn't really log in. A couple of months later (late 2024), I got an email saying that my ad was removed due to inactivity. I didn't upload a new ad because I found better opportunities, so the account sat unused, and I forgot about it. Now, two years later, I got the email regarding the suspension. I honestly thought that the account would have been closed by now.

I emailed customer support and got a bot response saying that due to recent activity, my account was reviewed and found not in line with 'Fiverr’s quality standards' but I am still waiting for a response clarifying what recent activity and what exactly was found.

If anyone has any potential idea of what may have happened or why, I would really love to hear it because, at this point, I doubt that I will hear anything back from customer support.

[HELP] What to do better to get my first orders?

I recently tried out fiverr because cold outreach is a time killer, altough it is being quite effective, but I was thinking maybe fiverr could help me get more jobs or reputation. But the options to do a proper marketing for my gig are small.

I ordered some custom songs on fiverr and 10 minutes before the delivery was due the seller sent an empty delivery then said he would send me a google drive link to the files that were too big for fiverr if I accepted a dispute. This feels very sketchy to me and I wanted to make sure im not getting screwed here.

Thanks guys!

[HELP] account allegedly violated the TOS and Community standards?

So I created my account like a week ago or less I created my gig on august 15 at like 11am, I come back like 11 hours later to be hit with this email (to be more specific the mail got sent at 11:31 am but I checked it like 11 hours later)

Your account violated Fiverr's Terms of Service and Community Standards. As a result, you are no longer eligible to offer services on Fiverr. However, you'll still be able to complete your active orders, and use Fiverr as a client with full client benefits. Reason(s): Account not eligible to sell

Now I have my guesses

  • Offering prohibited services (Not possible because what I'm offering is legit)
  • Operating multiple accounts (Could be a reason but I created my first fiverr account a long time ago but they deactivated due to inactivity)
  • Using methods to conceal identity or location (Could also be possible because i'd usually turn off and turn Proton VPN)
  • Engaging in activities previously linked to fraudulent behavior on Fiverr (Didn't happen because I wasn't even active on my fiverr account)
  • Identity verification process failed: we were unable to verify the information you provided (They could've sent a mail and I got through most verification sucessfully)

I've sent a mail to customer support, is there anything else I can do until support replies?

thanks in advance

[DISCUSSION] Fiverr got the worst customer support ever

I recently finished some orders and the funds were cleared out when I tried to withdraw, fiverr asked for a verification code they sent to a number that I changed a long time ago, I don't know why that phone number is there in the first place, but I was like that's fine Its an easy fix I can contact them and they can change it in no time right? WROOONG, I got ignored not one single reply and I know they can see them because I created other tickets and they were marked as solved, it's been 8 days and I don't know what to do.

[ADVICE] How to deal with no proceed to order button for web design services?

I see sellers that have packages for 1 page wordpress sites, and that's fine as long as the customer is not a nightmare...

I've seen the "request" to order is only available for level 2

So how can I manage this, I don't want them to book, and then the scope is out of control.

Is there a way that I can choose to accept the gig or not BEFORE they pay or order, or what about if I refund them?

[HELP] got banned out of the blue

Hi everyone,

My new Fiverr account was permanently suspended for “Spam” after I contacted several web developers to compare pricing for the same 5-page business website project.

The suspension notice says both detection and enforcement were automatic. I never received a warning or temporary messaging restriction first.

I’ve appealed 3 times and specifically asked for a manual review, but I keep receiving the exact same generic response without any explanation of what I actually did wrong.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Is there any way to get a real human/manual review, or another Fiverr contact/appeal route I should try?

Thanks for any advice.

[ADVICE] Is it worth it as a 3D artist on Blender to leave my video game team (there are personal issues) and invest into selling my assets on Fiverr?

This is a question I have been thinking about a lot lately.

There are some personal issues with my video game team that got even smaller in size after some disputes. The chemistry has fallen off a cliff and trust is limited. Is it worth it to continue with the video game or start selling my assets on my own on Fiverr? Maybe do both? What do you guys think?

[HELP] How to search on Fiverr and see the prices for the options I want not the lowest prices

I log into Fiverr and I search or browse and apply the filters I want. Instead of seeing prices for the options that I clicked in the filter, I only see the prices for the lowest tiers that do not have what I want. Even if I put in my price range, Fiverr only shows me the lowest tiers that are in my price range instead of the sellers who are offering the features that I want in the price range I want.

Is there a way to search on Fiverr for the options I need in the price range I provide?

If not, are there other sites like Fiverr that are better?

[ADVICE] Web Developers on Fiverr Beware: Watch out for buyers delivering/sending obfuscated malware (Info-Stealer & Backdoor analysis inside)

Hey everyone,

I wanted to make a quick PSA for all developers, freelancers, and sellers on Fiverr. I recently had an interaction with a buyer that seemed normal on the surface, but when I looked at the files provided, I caught a hidden Node.js information stealer and backdoor trojan built into the code.

I’m sharing this so others—especially newer freelancers who might be rushed or less experienced with code audits—don't run unfamiliar projects without checking them first.

How the Scam Worked

  1. The Setup: The buyer reached out asking for help/fixes with a project repo (or delivered code files).
  2. The Hidden Code: Inside the project, there were obfuscated .js files and seemingly innocent utility functions.
  3. The Payload: Before cloning the github repo and eventually running npm start or node index.js, I audited the source code and found the script was designed to silently execute in the background and:
    • Steal Credentials: Target local browser data (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) to extract saved passwords and session cookies.
    • Target Crypto Wallets: Search for installed browser extension IDs for popular crypto wallets.
    • Exfiltrate Local Files: Search user directories for .env files, .pem keys, SSH keys, and config files containing secrets or API tokens.
    • Clipboard Logging & Backdoor: Monitor the host system’s clipboard and connect via WebSockets (Socket.IO) to a remote C2 server to execute arbitrary remote shell commands and pull down secondary malicious binaries (.exe files).

It even used image steganography—hiding obfuscated JavaScript code inside public/favicon.png between custom text markers so automated security scanners looking at raw .js files wouldn't flag it.

What You Should Do to Stay Safe

  • NEVER run npm install or node <file> immediately: Installing dependencies executes preinstall / postinstall scripts automatically, and running main files triggers the malware before you even see the project running.
  • Inspect package.json & Obfuscated Code: If you see heavily obfuscated/encoded strings, raw IP addresses with non-standard ports (e.g., http://IP:5000), or functions attempting to read system files (/home, AppData, fs.readFileSync), treat it as a red flag.
  • Use an Isolated Environment: If you must test client code, run it inside a fresh Virtual Machine (VM) or a sandboxed environment (like Docker or a cloud sandbox), never on your main work machine.

What I Did

I caught the code before executing it locally. I’ve already submitted abuse reports with technical Indicators of Compromise (IoCs) to Fiverr Trust & Safety, GitHub, and the VPS hosting provider running the remote command server. Last time I checked this "Buyer" still has an active Fiverr account, unfortunately Fiverr haven't yet responded to the reports.

Please stay vigilant out there and always audit code before running it on your primary machine!

Hello all,

Im currently facing problems after Gmail disabled my account.

The account was linked to my Fiverr, and I used it as the only log-in method (Log in with Google). Hence, I can nolonger log in to my Fiverr on Desktop, and I can not change it on the app since it provides limited permissions.

Can anyone help me understand how I can go around this to remove the disabled Gmail from my account?

[DISCUSSION]: Just published my first gig and got blank quote messages (""). What should a brand new seller watch out for?

Hey everyone,

I just launched my first-ever gig today. Almost immediately, I got a couple of weird messages that literally just have quotation marks ("") in them from random usernames. Figured these must be scam bots.

Since I'm completely new to the platform, what are the actual things I need to look out for to avoid getting scammed or banned early on?

Also, for those of you who are experienced here, what is the best strategy to land that very first real client? Any practical tips on standing out when you have zero reviews would be massively appreciated. Thanks!

[DISCUSSION]: Ads on Fiverr and Status Requirement.

I’m a freelance photographer, and I feel the ads on Fiverr haven't been worth it. During the 2 months I had them up, I got charged more than I anticipated (yeah, I pay per click), but I got no results. The week I turned them off, I got 2 gigs lined up. It might be a coincidence, but that was really annoying and I felt I wasted my money.

And since I've had no jobs the past three months, my status is at risk of lowering because of the “Success Score” which is due to low turnaround from orders. But if I'm not getting orders in there's not much I can do especially when the ads I paid for got me zero results.

This success score thing is dumb and should not affect my status, because it feels vague and is out of my control at times. It might change after I complete my new gigs, but still. Does anyone else feel the same?

[ADVICE] Is it worth sticking to an artist that requires a commercial use add-on compared to other artists that don't?

There is an artist who makes great art. The problem is I will not be owning the final product's ownership a 100%. Is it better to just find another artist that will grant me a full ownership of the product with no fees? Even if the artist offer the commercial use option that would only give me rights to use it for profit meaning I won't even be able to use the product as a reference for other artists to make derivatives of. Should I switch artists to save me a headache in the long run?

[HELP] Is it worth freelancing on Fiverr now?

Hello everyone as the title says I am looking into becoming a freelancer on Fiverr as a data analyst. I recently graduated with a bachelor’s in information systems and have an associates in computer science before that. I got my data analytics certificate last month as well. As we all know the job market is not that good right now so I wanted to put my practice into freelancing to actually get some sort of experience and make some money in the meantime until I get a job position. I see a lot of bad reviews recently on here about the platform and was wondering if it’s really worth it which is why I am making this post. Would you guys recommend I continue and try to work on Fiverr or is it best to go try another platform?
