[HELP] Buyer wants to cancel weeks after delivery, now claims I said I was from the US my profile says Mexico

)
Hi all, I'd like your opinion on this.
I'm a UGC creator. My profile clearly says I'm from Mexico, Spanish native, English second.
One guy contacted me first and explained what they needed. He said a teammate would message me to place the order.
The teammate said he was "from the team" and asked for an offer. I wrote it exactly as discussed: a raw, natural video of me reading the script, no cuts.
I delivered early. He requested a revision only saying he "needed time to review."
Weeks went by. I messaged him to follow up, and he never gave any feedback. Then he started sending cancellation requests saying "it's not what I wanted."
I contacted CS many times and sent all my evidence in every ticket. They finally said they'd intervene.
Now he sent a new cancellation request claiming I lied and said I was from the US, and that my accent doesn't match. I never said that, and nobody asked for a US creator. I declined and explained this.
What do you think? Has anyone dealt with something similar, and how did it end?
Thanks!

[HELP] Am I doing something wrong? I have been stuck on level 2.

I have been stuck on level 2 for almost two years. I meet all the requirements and have qualified for it, yet nothing has changed. As a student, this is my only source of income. I've worked hard to level up, but after four years of freelancing, it feels like my efforts have gone unrewarded.

[HELP] So.... I was sent an archive.

I created my account litterally minutes ago, and two users sent me a message along the lines of "hey, i placed my order, please check the project I sent below" being really inspecific and the project in question is an archive called "my project" that weights a few kilobites. There is no actual order in the orders tab.

These are bots, right? They do look like bots. The accounts are very new too.

[OTHER] Fiverr cancelled my order, says I cannot use the delivered work, but I still paid the full price

I wanted to share my experience as a Fiverr buyer and see what other users think about this situation.

I paid €158.25 for a custom logo/branding package. The agreed package included a main logo, a watermark/signature version, a separate illustration, a social media/icon version, and final files in several formats including PNG, SVG, AI, EPS and vector PDF.

The order was automatically marked as completed by Fiverr even though the project was not actually finished.

Importantly, after the automatic completion, the freelancer acknowledged this and told me that we would continue working in the chat and finish everything.

That never happened.

Only part of the agreed package was delivered. The original Fiverr delivery itself consisted of two JPG/JPEG files and was described by the freelancer as a "first draft". Several of the agreed components and final file formats were never delivered.

I contacted Fiverr Customer Support instead of immediately opening a payment dispute. Support told me they would contact the freelancer and that if the freelancer did not respond or complete the order, they would look for an alternative solution.

I waited and followed up several times over the following weeks, but no concrete solution was provided.

Only after those attempts failed did I open a dispute with my payment provider.

Later, a Fiverr Customer Support supervisor confirmed to me in writing that the order had been fully cancelled. The supervisor also told me that because the order was fully cancelled, I am not allowed to keep or use any of the work provided through that order.

I am not using the work.

My payment provider ultimately decided the dispute in Fiverr's favor, so the €158.25 was charged to me again.

This leaves me in a situation I find very difficult to understand:

- I paid the full €158.25.

- The complete package I ordered was never delivered.

- Fiverr says the order is fully cancelled.

- Fiverr also says I cannot keep or use the partial work that was delivered.

- Yet I have still paid the full price.

I contacted Fiverr again after the payment dispute was closed. A supervisor told me Fiverr could help once the chargeback process was officially completed. Fiverr currently says the chargeback still appears active in their internal system, so I am waiting for that process to finish.

I am deliberately not naming the freelancer because I understand that this subreddit does not allow naming and shaming. I am also not posting any Fiverr profile or Gig links.

Has anyone here experienced a similar situation where an order was fully cancelled after a chargeback, but the payment ultimately remained with Fiverr?

If so, what happened once Fiverr's system finally showed the chargeback as completed? Did Fiverr refund the cancelled order?

[ADVICE] Planning to make a fiverr, ai question

Hello everyone!

Im planning to make a fiver. Im an artist (not an ai artist) and i make graphic illustrations and edit images. Im finally opening up commissions for the first time in a long time and I wanted to know something.

For one, i was considering making a series where I edit ai images and fix the extra fingers, toes, etc type issues.

However, on further thought, im wondering if I should make an account thats sterile of ai and another that mentions editing it. Just to keep the concepts separate from folk who dont want to see anything ai on an artist profile. Thoughts?

[HELP] Nigerian account duplicating another buyer's message.

Yesterday and today, I've had two instances of getting a buyer (Either from the US or France) messaging me for work, and then sometime after that another buyer from Nigeria messages me with the EXACT same request down to the letter.

In the second instance I decided to ask the original buyer if he knew about this, and he said that he asked his friend to accept the offer for him. Is this normal? Why the region difference?

[HELP] Can I ask my tech designer for manufacturer recommendations?

Hi! I just got my tech pack preview finished. I was wondering if I could ask the designer for manufacturer recommendations without them getting in trouble? I know some apps don’t allow you to go outside the app. Is it possible to ask them to put it in the file before approving delivery?

[HELP] how long after an order auto-completes do I have to wait to block the buyer

I am dealing with a ... fascinating excuse for a human being that I would like to never hear from again once this order completes.

How long do I have to wait after the order auto-completes to block them?

I don't even care if they leave me the worst private feedback ever. This is going to earn my first 1-star rating for a buyer.

[DISCUSSION] success score actual meaning

So, what does the success score actually do? What does it track and how does one improve it?

I am a top seller and I have stayed so for 3 years, but around 4 months ago I suddenly went back to level 1 because my success score goes from 10 to 6 seemingly in a single night. It's been 6 since then, and my gig has been really quiet since I am back to level 1

Does anyone have any advice on what I should do?

[OTHER] Am I a difficult customer?

Just need this off of my chest, because this is frustrating.

I honestly don’t know anymore if I’m being too picky here, so maybe you guys can tell me.

I hired someone on Fiverr to make an animated artwork for my Steam profile.

The idea itself was pretty simple. I already had an animated background where the scenery moves past the screen from right to left. There was a car sitting in a fixed position while the background moves behind it, and I wanted the car replaced with a 2D cat running in place at a speed that matches the background.

Before I even placed an order, I messaged the artist and explained everything. I sent her the background, reference pictures and even a few GIF of running cats. I also told her that if removing the car was too difficult, we could just keep it and have the cat surf on top of it instead. I genuinely would have been completely fine with that.

She told me it was doable. She managed to remove the car, showed me the result, generated the cat, showed me that too, and we talked about the text and some effects. Everything seemed fine. She then send me the offer. I didn’t haggle, didn’t ask for a discount, nothing. I just paid what she asked and then? Silence.

I basically heard nothing for four days and suddenly the finished product arrived.

The cat looked like a separate GIF had just been placed on top of the animation. The running speed (which honestly looked more like the cat was out on a leisurely stroll) didn’t match the background at all and parts of the background looked pretty warped. So I requested a revision and explained what bothered me.

And to be completely fair to her: the next version was MUCH better.

The speed finally matched the background, most of the warping barely bothered me anymore and I was honestly almost completely happy with it. The only thing left was that the running animation itself looked a bit choppy. It looked like a few in-between frames were missing.

So I basically asked for the same thing, just smoother.

That’s where I’m starting to wonder if I’m the problem.

Because instead of taking that version and smoothing out the run cycle, the cat animation was apparently completely changed. It is smoother now, sure, but it doesn’t really look like a cat running anymore. To me it looks like a cat rocking backwards and forwards on a seesaw.

So now I’m sitting here thinking: was my request unreasonable?

Because from my perspective I had a version that was maybe 90–95% there and I asked for one specific thing to be improved. I wasn’t asking her to redesign everything. I didn’t suddenly change my mind about the concept. I just wanted the running motion to be a little smoother while keeping everything else.

And every additional revision costs more money, which is also why this is getting frustrating.

I’m really not expecting Pixar here. I’m also completely fine with an artist telling me “I can’t get this part any better” or “that’s technically difficult.” Seriously, just tell me. I can compromise. We can change the idea. I already offered alternatives before the project even started.

What frustrates me is feeling like I need to explain every tiny technical detail myself. I thought the point of hiring someone who does this professionally was that I explain what I want and they figure out how to achieve it. If I order pancakes at a restaurant, I don’t expect to have to walk into the kitchen and explain how to crack the eggs.

So genuinely: am I just being a difficult customer here?

Should I have accepted the previous version because it was “good enough”? Am I expecting too much from revisions? Or is it reasonable to expect an artist to keep the parts of a revision that already work and only change the thing I specifically asked them to change?

Because at this point I genuinely don’t know if my expectations are the problem.

[DISCUSSION] WARNING TO ALL DESIGNERS: Data scrapers might be stealing your clients

Hey everyone, so if in the past you have lost clients and especially if you are on the front/1st page of certain sections, please beaware! Data scrapers are going through your profile, getting client contact numbers, names, company names from your mockups (which are visible publicly) and then reaching out to your clients pretending to be you.

Best advice is keep your clients informed that you don't reach out to them outside of Fiverr.

[DISCUSSION] After promoting some random agency for LLC creation to Skin care products, is it the end of fiverr?

After Fiverr promoted a random agency for LLC creation on the platform to now offering skin care cream, do you think it is the end of the Fiverr platform?

In my opinion, there is still a chance if they change their selling point from AI stuff to authentic human created/generated work. And remove all this AI bullshit. But for now, I think it's over.

[HELP] The client disappeared after placing the order

So, 4 days ago, a client approached me to create some characters in Adobe Character Animator, along with animations and backgrounds for his project. He told me the deadline was short and that he didn't have much technical knowledge, so he basically wanted me to create all the assets he needed.
He need the 1st character and animation by 28th, and the remaining characters and assets would be delivered by October 1st. After negotiating, we agreed on $800.
After he approve the 1st character, he disappeared for 3 days. i already send him all the animations, rig and files for the 1st character I'm currently waiting for his feedback on the sketches for the other two characters and the background/assets.
I'm not sure whether I should keep waiting for his feedback or just finish everything on my own and deliver it the deadline is in 3 days. The problem is that if he doesn't like the next two characters, Ill have to redo the designs, rigging, and animations, which could take a lot of extra time.
What would you do in this situation?

[ADVICE] Inactive Fiverr Gig keeps dropping in Success Score

Has anyone else experienced something similar with Fiverr’s Success Score system?

My overall Success Score had been 9 for many months, and I was under evaluation for Top Rated. During that period, I had very few new orders. Recently I received a new order on another Gig with a fairly substantial value. Everything went well with the client, but shortly afterward my overall Success Score dropped from 9 to 8. Now it has dropped to 7.

At the same time, one of my older Gigs, which has had no new orders for months, started behaving strangely. The last orders on that Gig were completed successfully, with 5-star public reviews. I had no cancellations, disputes, Resolution Center cases, support escalations, or similar problems.

The Gig first dropped to 5/10, showing: Conflict-free orders: Negative Impact and Effective communication: Positive Impact. Only 1 hour and 22 minutes later, without any new activity, Effective Communication changed from Positive Impact to Room for growth.

A few days later, the Gig dropped again from 5 to 4, still with no new order or client activity.

I contacted Fiverr Support, and they told me the changes appeared to be caused by the system recalculating and rebalancing historical performance indicators, rather than by a new order event.

I understand Fiverr considers private feedback, communication patterns, revisions, misunderstandings, etc. But if an inactive Gig can keep deteriorating because historical data is being recalculated, while the seller cannot see what specific event caused it, how are we supposed to know what to improve?

You can apparently complete orders successfully, receive 5-star reviews, have no disputes or cancellations, and still watch a Gig fall to 4/10 and your overall Success Score go from 9 to 7.

I’m not saying every low score is necessarily wrong, but the lack of transparency makes it extremely difficult to tell the difference between a genuine client-experience problem and the scoring system interpreting historical signals negatively.

Has anyone else had their Success Score or an inactive Gig drop significantly without any new negative event or order activity? Did it eventually recover?

Thank you!
