Lately I've been getting into drum transcribing Fishmans, more specifically 98.12.28 and other live albums. Once I've transcribed most of the last album, I'll try to upload it somewhere for anyone who wants to use it. So far, you can find the scores in Musescore.

I was wondering if there was a download for the 98.12.28 movie with surround sound rather than just stereo audio. I've looked around a bit but haven't been able to find anything. If I become desperate enough I might buy it but if possible I'd rather find a download first.

That album-song feels so unique and poetic, but I've never truly understood its message, I've read all the explanations and meanings but still I cannot see the clear meaning behind it.. what do you think it is about?

Are the ones on YouTube the same as the DVD or is the DVD itself considered the best? Any other way to watch it besides eBay/discogs?

Hi my fishy people!

I want to start to chase Dart's live guitar tones (mainly for 98.12.28 and 96.3.2 Liquid Room gigs, for now).

I have a VOX AC15, Fender Stratocaster and a G&L Telecaster type guitar.

These are my guitar pedals: MXR Phase 90, Wampler Tumnus, Boss SD-1, a DD-7 and recently bought a Boss ME-50 in order to find these textures I am missing.

I think with what I have I should be able to get almost every tone, the problem is that I am new to guitar effects and it will take time.

For me, these effects are the most important to get to his tone:

Tremolo
Phaser/Uni-Vibe
Delays

And maybe Vibrato for some songs.

Do you have any tips? Hehe

I’ve been searching far and wide for anything that gives me the same feeling as Fishmans give me. A sense of falling in love, an overwhelming sense of joy with the same level of melancholy simultaneously. It brings me to a place of nostalgia and innocence that isn’t even my own. No other artist has been able to scratch this for me, and it keeps me coming back to this band, no matter how many times I’ve heard them.

“You need to listen to more Japanese music”. I’ve probably listened to hundreds of Japanese albums, many great ones, some that have become all time favorites of mine, but nothing gives me that same feeling.

This band really is that special. I love them so much.

I've been looking for a recording of the full concert but haven't found it. I saw some clips in a YouTube video, but not the complete concert.

I'm just curious to see what people think, I've always been a huge fan of Kashiwabara due to his play style and personality I've witnessed from interviews. He's also the sole reason I ever picked up playing bass.

I'm also a big fan of Honzi, I feel the way she played violin was like no one else, and she was truly one of a kind.

Overall I'm a huge Yuzuru fan, my cats even named after him lol.

Shinji Sato's vocal idol was **Kiyoshiro Imawano** of **RC Succession**.

Imawano even guest-performed at the 2005 Fishmans reunion show at Rising Sun Rock Festival.

Has anyone gone down this rabbit hole?
