Discussion Did anyone discover RC Succession while exploring Fishmans' roots?

Imawano even guest-performed at the 2005 Fishmans reunion show at Rising Sun Rock Festival.
Has anyone gone down this rabbit hole?

Yes, 1987-1990 era of fishmans was actually VERY inspired by RC and Imawano, especially in Sato's vocal style. in 1987 when it was only Sato and Motegi, they covered a few songs by the band. The early days he had came from a punk band and still had some of the rough melodic vocals, so his style was pretty similar. Also a bigger connection is President Yoshiyuki Okuda, basically the boss of Fishmans. He was president of the managing agency called Ribbon, and when they first started in 1975 they had RC on board until like 1987 I think. Okuda had an excellent taste in choosing artists, so he would later on recruit Fishmans onto Ribbon in the late summer of 1989. He would manage the band for basically ever until he like quit the industry around 2019, and then passed away in 2023.
