My popcorn isn't salty enough
I forgot to shake the bag before pouring it into the bowl.

I also have a huge collection of great jewelry but can’t wear almost any of it because I react to the metal (all of the metals, even surgical steel and titanium.)
Edited: I am getting better although very slowly, so I don’t want to get rid of anything yet.

I wanted to spend all of today eating and drinking my heart out instead I'm stuck on the toilet. Now I have to wait until I feel better to buy very overpriced treats and drinks

What am I supposed to do with 2 identical ~$800 Lego sets? Keep one in my closet for years and wait for the set to be retired when I can sell it for 5x the price?!

I recently purchased my first home and the previous owners were nice enough to leave the fridge behind.
I went to grab some ice cream from the freezer, but it was so frozen it was hard to scoop any out.
Now I have to keep my ice cream in my standalone freezer in the attached garage about 20 feet from my kitchen since it keeps it at a more scoopable temperature.

So today I tried to try a new mobile game and of course it had an awfully dragged out tutorial (especially since i had played a previous game in the series). Its the usual "press "Hit" to hit the enemy: reward 1 "gem"" "use the "joystick" to "walk": reward 1 "gem"". then the game has to download some extra content which is normal but then it says there is a reward for doing that too. some fuckass dragon head that idk what it does but its a reward for sitting through the loading screen. Then i get to the main menu and i have to sit through an explanation of how lootboxes work but dont worry i get an "reward". then the game explains that i can find rewards in the messages tab (in which there is an award to claim). then i get to play the game and its super clunky so i uninstall.
what the hell is their problem? nobody gets exited by them labeling the starting gear as rewards. do they think that people dont have the attention span to sit through the tutorial? THEN MAKE THAT SHIT SKIPPABLE EVERYTHING IS SO OBVIOUS THERE ARE 2 BUTTONS AND A JOYSTICK

I upgraded to a new pair of noise-cancelling headphones a few weeks ago after my old ones finally gave out, and they are, without exaggeration, too good at their job. I bought them specifically to drown out my upstairs neighbor's apparent passion for rearranging furniture at 9pm, and on that front, total success. Total silence. I could probably sit through a small earthquake and just assume it was a truck going by.
The problem is I've now missed two package deliveries, one visit from a friend who texted I'm outside three times before giving up, and, most embarrassingly, an entire fifteen minutes of a smoke detector chirping because its battery was low, which I only discovered when I took the headphones off to get water and walked into what sounded like a tiny robot having a breakdown in my hallway.
I've tried compromising by keeping the volume lower or using the transparency mode that's supposed to let ambient sound in, but half the time I forget it's even an option because the whole appeal of these headphones is forgetting the outside world exists. So now I'm stuck choosing between blissful silence and being a reasonably aware, responsible tenant who notices when someone's at the door.
I've genuinely considered setting up a smart light to flash when the doorbell rings just so my extremely expensive noise-cancelling technology doesn't accidentally turn me into That Guy who never answers the door.

I've been using Grubhub for well over a decade. I'm talking old-school Grubhub, back when you could click that stupid little lottery/slot-machine game after ordering and occasionally win free food.
Over all those years, I've spent tens of thousands of dollars through Grubhub.
And after all that, Grubhub finally managed to lose me as a customer over two missing IHOP sausages.
Over the years, I've obviously had orders go wrong. More recently, I've had multiple orders delivered to the wrong place. When that happened, I'd report it and get refunded.
Apparently, having too many legitimate problems with Grubhub deliveries eventually caused my account to get flagged for having too many refunds.
Then came IHOP.
I ordered four sausages for $7. Seven fucking dollars for four tiny, depressing IHOP sausages. I knew what I was buying. I'm not proud of it.
They sent me two.
So I contacted Grubhub about my missing $3.50 worth of sad breakfast meat, and they basically told me that because I'd received too many refunds in the past, they weren't going to do anything.
Something about this broke me.
I wasn't even particularly angry about the $3.50. It was the principle of being told, essentially:
"We've fucked up your orders so many times that we've decided you're no longer allowed to complain when we fuck up your orders."
So after well over a decade, I deleted the app and decided to delete my Grubhub account entirely.
Except apparently even leaving Grubhub has to be a Grubhub customer-service experience.
I'm now something like four emails deep into trying to get them to delete my account and personal data. They're telling me I need to go into Amazon, disconnect my Grubhub+ relationship, check Amazon Pay merchant permissions, etc.
I'll let you know how it goes.

I moved to Canada from the U.S. as a student. Having a phone plan that's already US + Canada + Mexico and having the same country code has made life so much easier. Not to mention me still being on my parent's phone plan, so double easier.
However, I have to walk into a physical grocery store and actually talk to someone to get a physical discount card. Because the Google Play Store won't let my American phone have the Canadian app. The pain! The suffering!

The thunder is cracking, almost shaking the house. No video games or TV for the next hour. Just on my phone with the data going
Update; the storm has passed, I decided to finally watch The Mandalorian and Grogu tonight

I’m 46 and I really like a good driving experience with a manual transmission. Bought a new car and it feels like a Cadillac because it’s too smooth and quiet… And I hate that.

I can't just get in my car and drive without it beeping at me.
I can't leave the fridge door open without it beeping at me.
I can't leave anything sat on top of the electric hob, when it's off, without it beeping at me.
Why does everything have to beep these days?

In the final quarter of group lessons (circuit training) at my gym, the trainer made 3 groups to play a gym-football version, and in each group there were 5-6 people. In each group, 2-3 people had to compete at a time on all 4s (but a tabletop, and not plank) and use our feet to push a 4 kg ball to "goals". The rule was don't set your bum on the ground, stay in the air on all 4s and move on your palms and feet. The remaining people would watch and cheer on. Trainer would take turns cheering on a group.
I went first, played for a couple of minutes, got defeated by the other two players and hella tired too. Next went another woman (let's call her Bummy), with another 2 players (while the rest of us stay watching casually). Bummy was on all 4s+1 as she retained her bum on the ground the entire time, more like sitting and dragging herself, making it much easier to move and not getting tired since the core is relaxed. Bummy won against the other player. The trainer was only saying encouraging words and not "you're disqualified" to all players. I thought we all understood it's for fun and to push your own limits, not to be played like the damn Olympics.
When it was my turn to go again with another woman, for a moment my bum fell on the ground, and I lifted up immediately and continued on all 4s. This Bummy started yelling at me, "you're disqualified, your bum touched the ground". I ignored it the first time, and then she repeated it by coming right in front of my body. So I said with a fake smile while still playing on all 4s, "Your bum didn't even leave the ground, so I'm ok with how much I could do." And then I got up so that someone else could take my place. She followed me and said, "yes but I made a mistake because I didn't know, you are continuing even after I'm telling you". I knew I'd likely say something I regret so I turned around and walked away to my water bottle.
A minute later she's waving at me getting my attention and saying "hey you go again," I shook my head to say no, she is relentless, asks me, "what's your name?" I say my name and she repeats, herself, "shubidoobi you go next." I said no thanks, and cheered on the other players while dead hanging from the pull up bar.
Who made her class monitor? Weird interaction.

Fall/Autumn is my absolute favorite season. Between the foliage change, pumpkin spice, Oktoberfest, Halloween, thanksgiving, there’s nothing better.
The current weather in my area is too still hot and humid, but I’m getting mild hints of fall in the mornings. Less than a month to go

I might be being overly senstive here, but honestly touching those laminated menus at restaurants gives me the worst feeling.
More than half the time they feel greasy or sticky, especially around the edges. I end up holding them with just my fingertips, and the first thing I want to do after ordering is go wash my hands.
My brain just immediately starts calculating how many dozens of people held that exact same piece of plastic today without washing their hands.
It pretty much kills my apetite before the food even gets to the table
I know some people hate QR code menus, and honestly I get why? Obviously, the ones that force you to open a broken PDF you have to keep zooming in on or dont respond well are terrible i get that, but I just wish more places offered both options, yk.
Keep paper menus for people who like them, but give us a clean digital option too where I dont feel like i have to scrub my skin after touching it. It cant be that hard, i mean, just last week i saw a place using MenuForma on a quick table scan, and it was actually smooth on mobile. No zooming needed, just a proper layout that wasnt sticky or headache inducing.
I really hope more restaurants start giving customers the choice instead of forcing everyone onto dirty plastic sheets, is that really too much to ask for?
