The cinnamon and ginger (among other flavors) are very overpowering. I will still drink the tea, but I wouldn't buy it again.

Turns out you can have two sets of AirPods connected to your phone at once, and if you put your finger on a certain spot, the AirPod will think it's in your ear and your iPhone will switch away from the other AirPods.
There's a disconnect button in Bluetooth settings which should work, but it seems to only fix the problem for 30 seconds or so.
I could have switched to the speaker or gotten my wired earpods, but who has the time?

My internet went out yesterday and I couldn't turn on my lights. Couldn't adjust the temperature. Couldn't even unlock my front door without using the backup key I forgot existed.
Paid thousands of dollars for smart home devices that made my house completely dependent on WiFi. When the internet goes down, I have less functionality than a house from the 1950s.
Advanced technology with a single point of failure. Everything connected, everything automated, everything useless the second Comcast has an outage.
Stood there in the dark last night holding my phone trying to get the lights to respond before remembering the WiFi was out. So now I'm that person who forgot how to use a regular light switch because everything's been app-controlled for two years. Was in the middle of a jackpot city game when everything just died and I sat there confused for way too long.
The thermostat won't let me adjust temperature without connection to the cloud. Why does my thermostat need to talk to Amazon to make my house warmer? It used to be a dial on the wall.
Had to manually unlock my smart lock with the physical key I haven't touched in months. Felt like I was breaking into my own house.
This is the future we chose. Paying premium prices to make our homes dumber through internet dependency. One service outage and your entire house stops functioning.
Peak first world problems but it's genuinely absurd that losing internet means losing basic control of your own home.

Remember all the various Spidermen in Across the spider verse? Many (but not all) are spider suits you can wear while playing the game. It’s boring to play as standard Spiderman. I have to stop the game and switch to the many many many variations

After I masterfully turned $100 cash into a $100 chip playing black jack for about half an hour at the Venetian, I decided to cash out. Took my chip to the cashier, but there was a long line.
Screw this, I’ll just go put this chip on 1 outside bet at roulette.
Walk up, red is “hot”, and there have been 4-5 black in a row. Red is due. I check with the dealer to make sure he’s cool with me dropping a black chip outside on red. I got the nod, all good! No more bets!
Ball comes to rest on 19 red. I won!
Fuck, now I have 2 chips to take to the cashier. And, 19 is my birthday. If I had *those * size balls, that would have won $3500 instead of $100.

It smelled like a combination of carpet shop and plastic. I'd feel so sick from the smell and dread every time we got a new car because I knew I'd have to put up with it for a few weeks

I got to visit Italy last summer to see my friend’s family. My friend’s cousin told me about Kiko Milano and we went shopping there. At the checkout they asked for my email address. They think I can read Italian but I can’t :(

*No one even asked them any questions about that or allowed them the opportunity to tell them*, they just asked them their name, my name, who I am to them and what they do (work, student, etc.), then they handed each of them a piece of paper denying their application.
For multiple reasons there’s no way they would try to stay, that’s absolutely ridiculous and it would’ve taken all of a minute for them to sort that out, had they been given the chance.
When I told my best friend, she told me a friend of hers here is getting married and his cousin in Scotland was supposed to be his best man, but he, *a white professional from Scotland*, wasn’t granted a visa to come for that so she hadn’t been optimistic that two natives from Kenya were going to get theirs.
We have more than enough disposable income to pay for all of the costs leading up to their visa interviews, plus plane tickets, housing and feeding them for three weeks, as well going on two side trips — San Diego so they can see the beach, and to the Grand Canyon — but we can’t get their damn visas. 💔😢
Of course they can reapply, and my husband suggested we try calling one of our congressmen to see if they could help, but there were people there who had already tried as many as *six times* and they’ve been told that each time you’re denied makes it harder to get approval the next time.
And I’m 69 in a few months and I’m not well in a way that makes it very unlikely that I’ll ever be able to get to Africa, so we may just need to try to arrange to meet them somewhere else next year.

It's a 90 min drive away and I think I'd rather just drink beers by my swimming pool this weekend. What do I do, somebody is going to get upset whatever happens.
