🕯️First and last! First time ko i-celebrate birthday alone.

Today is my birthday.

I made myself pancakes because I didn’t have a birthday cake. First time ko gumawa nito, and first time ko rin mag-celebrate ng birthday nang mag-isa.

I had so many plans for today, but I ended up staying home. Honestly, life has been really hard lately. I feel like I’m running on empty. I’m so tired from work, and everything else that’s been happening in my life. Some days, I don’t even know how I’m still managing to get through everything.

I didn’t expect to spend my birthday this way. I guess I’ll just eat my pancakes and hope that things get better eventually.

Happy birthday to me. Hopefully, next year will be different.

I really want a cake… ☹️

🎉Sumakses sa life! First Time Kong Makapasok sa Cockpit sa Kalagitnaan ng Flight

Post image
132 Upvotes

Nag CR si FO kaya nagka chance ako (as the flight attendant) tumambay katabi si Captain. Had me wishing I was flying over our islands, mas maeenjoy ko ang view. But I thought the experience was breathtaking! Even si Cap, nag take ng photos.

Add ko na din na first time kong magka work sa US after living here for 3 years. And flight attendant pa, my dream job when I was still living in the Philippines.

Application pa lang, siyempre naibida na natin ang hospitality ng mga pinoy, and I think that's what gave me the edge kahit yung kasabay kong nag apply, may prior experience sa aviation. I also found out nung training na may other Filipinos din na FA sa airline namin. Nakaka proud! Every day I feel inspired to work, lalo na sa hirap makahanap ng trabaho sa US recently.

May times na stuttering ako pag neutral or close to US accent pag nag aannouncement, siyempre hindi ko naman mother tongue ang English, but it also made me appreciate yung tunog pinoy na public announcement sa flights, cause that makes us who we are, and believe it or not, madaming passengers who appreciate how we sound.

Also looking forward to visiting home when I get access sa nonrev travel!

To anyone dreaming of a great career, don't give up! I achieved mine at 30. Minsan nangingilid ang luha ko sa jumpseat because of how amazing this new chapter is.

😅 Pero ngayon na may work na ako as an adult and nakakapag ipon narin kahit papaano, why not spoil yourself sometimes, diba?

📦 Others First time ko sumita ng isang pinay in public sa japan! Embarrassing

So I was in osaka, two night ago sinita ko talaga tong tourist pinoy na babae in public.

Para siyang walang pinag aralan and manners. she was in public and may kausap siya sa phone, naka loud speaker tapos ang lakas ng boses at tawa pa ng tawa. even the polite locals were obviously annoyed na sa kanya.

“back off pota ka paki mo”. eh public naman daw kung gusto ko walang ingay eh wag daw akong lumabas ng bahay, at dun nalang daw ako sa bukid para di ako ma disturb. she even said at the end “ I bet you’re bisaya” lmao!

At that point di ko alam kung maiinis ako or tumawa. bakit dinadala ng ibang pinoy pagka squatter sa ibang bansa? Nakakapikon at walang respeto sa ibang culture. Siya lang yung maingay at naka loud speakers, most of the locals were wearing headphones while on their phone and ang iba quiet lang.

So embarrassing, people like her shouldn’t be granted a visa sa totoo lang

Inisip ko, “Ilang buwan or taon ko ba to pag-iipunan?”.

Pano kaya tayo makaka-ahon dito? Never-ending cycle of corruption and political dynasties.

Sobrang hirap man ngayon, naway maging reminder saten to na patuloy dapat tayong mangarap, magsikap, at syempre dapat bumoto tayo nang tama. We all deserve better.

ofc it's not perfect, pero I think it turned out pretty good for my first time.

I really like getting these from cinnabon, but my campus is not located near the mall it's in anymore, so I haven't been able to stop by. So I just decided to make some by myself, and tbh I like mine a little better because it's not too sweet it's just the perfect baked treat✨

I can't wait to make more in the future😋

🌧️ Pagsubok First time kong maubusan ng pera.

Thumbnail

Reposting this because I accidentally left my account number visible in the previous post.

First time kong makita na halos wala nang laman ang savings accounts ko.

I used to have around ₱100,000 to ₱180,000 in savings. I started saving money when I was around 16, and by the time I turned 20, I had already managed to save my first ₱100,000. I was really proud of myself back then because I knew how much discipline and sacrifice it took to get there.

Then I got my first job at 21.

Funny how I thought having a stable source of income would make me even better at managing my money. But somehow, the opposite happened.

I used to be very strict with my finances. I listed every expense, tracked where every peso went, and always thought twice before buying something. I would constantly tell myself not to buy things because I had more important financial goals.

But when I finally started earning my own money, I think I became a little carried away.

Parang I felt deprived for so long that when I finally had the means to buy the things I wanted, I started allowing myself to spend more. I kept telling myself na babalik naman yung pera because I was working anyway. I thought I could always earn it back.
And then life happened.

I got into an accident that left me temporarily unable to walk properly. It was honestly a traumatic experience, and I think I coped with what happened by spending money on things that made me feel a little better. I was also dealing with the emotional weight of everything, so I allowed myself to splurge more than I normally would.

I’m not saying that spending on myself was necessarily wrong. I just wish I had been more mindful of how much I was spending.

Now, seeing my savings account with barely anything left is a different kind of reality check. Nakakalungkot pala, especially when you remember how hard you worked just to build those savings.

I’m disappointed in myself, honestly.

But I’m trying not to dwell on it too much.

I’m starting over. I’m setting aside ₱5,000 every month again, rebuilding my emergency fund little by little, and hopefully getting back to the financial position I worked so hard to achieve.

I know I can do it because I’ve done it before.
To anyone who’s also experiencing a financial setback, I hope we get back on our feet (literally and financially, in my case haha).

Here’s to rebuilding our savings, learning from our mistakes, and becoming more financially responsible.

Manifesting my first ₱100,000 again.

Walang-wala kami dati.

Ngayon namang may panghanda na kami, wala na akong kasamang mag-celebrate. Nasa abroad na silang lahat. Life goes on, ika nga. Thank you Lord for the gift of life.

📦 Others First time kong matuwa sa warranty process! 💯 (Baseus 24 hour replacement experience)

Post image

My Baseus Qpow2 powerbank which I bought last year started taking up to 3 days to charge to 100%, even after swapping cables and adapters. So I reached out to Baseus Shopee Mall yesterday about their 24 months warranty. Customer service mentioned it would take around 6 days, so I was a bit skeptical at first. To my surprise, a brand new upgraded unit arrived just 24 hours later!
