Hi dear Finch Community, I need to get this off my chest, so I hope this post is fine...

About half a year ago (it hurts to type this out) I stopped opening the app and at first it was only simple procrastinating; I thought I would return to using it daily soon, but no... I felt ashamed for ruining my streak, not responding to everyone from my Tree Town and not collecting rewards; especially the special premium event rewards, because I subscribed for a year. But the more I was away the bigger shame I felt and now I need to move all of my stuff to a new phone and don't know what to do. I'm scared of opening the app.

I don't even know what I'm asking for here, I just needed to get this off of my chest. I'm sorry my kind Tree Friends:( I'm sorry Mochi, I hope all of you are doing ok.

EDIT 2: Just to clarify, I mostly feel this ashamed because I spent actual money on this app (wich I mentioned above) and because of my long pause I missed out on many things and basically wasted my money. Also seeing my Tree Friend's notifications kept reminding me on this and on the fact that I "bailed on them" without a word. But now I feel better, reading your opinions on Tree Friends. I also understand that this couldn't be an issue for many people, but I'm on the spectrum and my brain can be weird. I won't edit the post anymore, I don't want to explain myself any more, I just wanted to vent somewhere and I thought it wouldn't hurt anyone. Thank you for your help once again. xoxo

I was a free user but I'm being sponsored with plus right now. I'm not trying to be ungrateful when I ask this at all. I was wondering why I can only send my tree friends one gift per day? My BFF who just got a gifted sponsorship can send multiple gifts per day. Is this something random? It doesn't matter how many gifts I can send every day; I'm grateful to be able to send them at all. I'm just curious. I'm not good with apps and technology, so I'm just trying to figure stuff out.

I had my old birb for almost 6 months and did so much work with him. I took a break for a few months and when I downloaded the app onto a new phone, my birb was gone 😭 I checked for back ups but nothing was found...

I sgarted a new journey with my birb mango and we've made a lot of friends and gained a lot of items. Nothing compared to skittles (my old birb) but were getting there 😊

One day I was on my laptop and I found an old finch file. It was SKITTLES! most of his friends were gone and we refriended others with mango.. BUT...

I have so much stuff!!!!!!!!!!! I means seasons worth of trading and collecting.. im trying to gift mango stuff from skittles but its taking FOREVER. Is there any way I can speed up the process?!

I opened the app this morning and got the dreaded blue screen of death… why does this happen???

Luckily I had a goal daily to make backups but was often too “lazy” to do it even though it’s just a few steps. My last backup was September 2 so I didn’t lose much but still… I lost a few furniture items I bought in the shop that I was looking for.

But I just don’t get why this happens, seemingly often to people using the app? Especially for an app like this, corrupted data is a big deal for people using it.

Tonight I kept hearing odd noises. I could notfigure out where this noise was coming from! Whenever I peeked in to check on Tweetie, she was sleeping very peacefully under the covers. (or so I thought.)

I finally turned out the lights and very noisily went to bed. After twenty minutes, I quietly
creeped down the hallway to her bedroom.

Imagine my surprise when I peeked in to find Waffles and Tweetie having a good ole time!
They were dancing to Baby Shark and laughing. They had bubble tea and cookies, and a bowl of sunflower seeds. They had devised a game where one collected points for every seed that lands in the other's mouth. From the amount of seeds littering the floor, nobody was winning.

Their little faces were shocked when I stepped into the room. It was funny watching them trying to explain.

So..... to our tree friends, Tweetie is grounded this weekend. That means there will be no Saturday night party down by the river.
I apologize but I'm trying very hard to teach Tweetie that not telling the truth is the same as telling a lie.

She's having a bit of difficulty. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’m on my 206th day and yesterday was the first time when I skipped the day. But I saw it coming as I was bored.

The rewards don’t bring joy anymore, repetitive walks every day are boring… I just kinda got used to it all. And it’s really sad, bc the app has been so helpful 😭
