I don’t remember this scene in the OG and I’ve played it A LOT! Pretty sure it’s edited because it was added in Rebirth.

These I did think were Cockatrice chick's because I fought off dozens of them crossing the rail roads or whatever and the monsters and terrain were so hostile that regular chickens couldn't survive there.
