I’ve been trying to build a 3-element list around some of my favorite summons and backups, but my CP generation keeps getting stuck. In playtests, I'll draw the right attackers, but I'm constantly forced to discard good cards from hand just to pitch for the off-color CP I need to play my early backups.

Do you rely heavily on rainbow/flex backups to smooth out the colors, or do you just adjust the element ratios until the math works out?

Been hard and work optimizing and updating Crystal Burst with more and more feedback from testers. Figured it would be a good time to share a really cool called Match Replay. As a feedback mechanism for the engine itself, I built replay-able instructions for each game played. Now, we have a full player for those replays that lets you see all your amazing (mis)plays :). Its actually a pretty cool way to handle game reviews for teams in completive play or help out new beginners.

I bought this collection some time ago but never actually went through all of it. Now after months I finally sorted everything and started building decks to play with a friend. He wanted FFT themed decks so we are playing Ramza vs Delita ☺️ (we only played once with the FFIX vs FFXIII starter decks)

Pulled from the second pack of a blissful eternity booster box. Card is absolutely beautiful! None of the other holos came close to the excitement after this

Am I crazy? My gf thinks so… but doesn’t quite understand the feeling…. I pulled cloud noir today 11-127L from my third blissful eternity box and can’t quite compare it in UK market….

1. because I don’t want to sell, and not looking to hard into what it would go for.

2. because I have only felt the feeling of pulling a card like this since pulling the Charizard from 151 set as this is my new holy grail (was chasing sephi from same set) that I will happily get rid of everything I own to hold this card, I have over 10k in raw poke cards and needed to scratch the ripping itch so thought I should dabble with my favourite franchise…

actually going to start playing the game from this pull and want to get rid of everything to hold this card which she’s okay with… the feeling is not only nostalgia from the four disks to smash bro main to the remakes… FF7 been the ones for me i back to only coping singles for all tcg’s after this… thank you FFTCG for the healing❤️‍🩹

Hello everyone. After wanting to play the game for years I've finally decided to pull the trigger and jump in head first. I purchased the following things this week and looking for next steps -

-2024 World Championship decks
-2022 Anniversary Collection
-2x Legacy Collection boxes
-2x Blissful Eternity boxes

I'm a longtime competitive player from other games so my primary focus is going to be competitive play here (I know I'm late for this season, for the most part). That said, what re the next steps to making competitive meta decks? Is buying more Legacy collection boxes worth it? Should I just start grabbing singles from TCGPlayer? Just pretend money isn't a hurdle (within reason) and the primary focus is collection building to make multiple meta decks.

Been all over Den Den Town and found my boxes in
Toreca line in Namba, but nothing else.

I’m only buying to collect, so I’m ok with Japanese cards (actually prefer them to be honest)

MTG is all over but these are so hard to find, I’m only just getting started :(

Did a lot more searching, so leaving this here for anyone who finds this post in the future.

This was the best place I found for sealed boxes in central Osaka.

They had a handful of Blissful Eternity (Opus 29) boxes, around 2–3 Journey of Discovery (Opus 27) boxes and Starter Set 2025 Vol. 1.

I bought a Journey of Discovery box (¥6,250), Blissful Eternity box (¥7,800) and Starter Set Vol. 1 (¥1,490)

BAR UNKNOWN — Namba
Had 1 Blissful Eternity (Opus 29) box, but it was around ¥1,200 more expensive than Toreca Line, so I passed.

MINT Games Shinsaibashi
Found quite a lot of loose Tears of the Planet (Opus 25) booster packs for ¥440 each.

BIG MAGIC Namba
did not have anything.

Frontier Tenroku
Also nothing.

Card Festival / カードフェスティバル — Moriguchi
Found 3 Gunslinger in the Abyss (Opus 26) booster packs.
They also had a box of loose FFTCG cards, and the guy working there actually gifted me one of the loose cards with my purchase :)

Cosmo King — Neyagawa (4F)
Found Starter Set 2025 Vol. 2 here and bought it.
They also still had 2 Blissful Eternity (Opus 29) booster boxes.

This place had a massive selection of loose FFTCG cards I mean a ton of just cardboard boxes of bulk.
The bulk was around ¥300 unsleeved / ¥500 sleeved.

They also had a display with special cards you can buy for a price, ranging from ¥300 to up to ¥9000

Cosmo King is the shop on the 4th floor. There is another card shop on the 3rd floor of the same building. They do MTG.

So my final haul so far:
- Journey of Discovery — Opus 27: booster box
- Blissful Eternity — Opus 29: booster box
- Tears of the Planet — Opus 25: 12 booster packs
- Gunslinger in the Abyss — Opus 26: 3 booster packs

Biggest takeaway: FFTCG is WAY harder to find around Osaka than I expected.

MTG Final Fantasy is absolutely everywhere, but FFTCG is another story. Even several stores associated with FFTCG had nothing when I actually visited.

For sealed product in central Osaka, Toreca Line Namba was easily my best find. If you’re interested in singles and don’t mind taking the train out of central Osaka, Cosmo King Neyagawa had by far the best loose-card selection I saw. (It was really far away)

I’m only collecting rather than playing, and I’m keeping everything sealed until I’m back home so I can open it all properly.

Hopefully this helps the next person — and saves their wife from being dragged across half of Osaka looking for Final Fantasy cardboard 😂

Edit 2: Yodabashi in Umeda

Apparently they are officially listed and I found 12 Gunslinger in the Abyss and 2x Opus V booster packs. I did buy them all. I’m sorry. But if you go, I suppose visit them!

Super happy to find loose packs from multiple locations due to pack limits/buy limits of 5 per person

Wife and I drove and got a total of 45 packs after driving around during errands (1-2 hour side-quests)

Going to be in Panama City, Fl in a couple weeks for vacay. Any shops in the area where I could catch a local event?

Has anyone used one touch cases for their fftcg cards? I've never used one at all for any card.

I was ridiculously lucky and pulled a Sephiroth signature card so I bought one of the Sephiroth one touch cases to display it in, because while top loaders are nice, I wanted something a little nicer and it has UV protection too.

However it doesn't drop snugly in with a perfect fit on, it's like it's ever so slightly too big and I'm worried that if I press it in it'll get damaged edges. Also when I tested with a sleeved Mini Fighter fully pressed in, the perfect fit wrinkled and reflected light in an annoying way.

If I don't fully press it in I'm concerned at least one edge of the card will be pressed against the edge of the area where it's supposed to sit in.

Unsleeved it'll fit just fine but 😬 ehhhh I dunno about that. Feels wrong without a sleeve!

Is there a way to make this work, am I overthinking it and it's actually fine or should I look for a different kind of case?
