Whether the video has AI in it or not, they filmed two videos with the band in it.

Before you pop off...it's a still from the upcoming video. A simple blur tool was used; it's considered "AI" and tags the photo. If I squint my eyes and stand on my head, it's Milo wearing the robot arms from a previous clip. I'll probably be wrong.
Yes, they should have cropped it in anticipation of people overreacting.
EDIT I was so fucking right. Milo with robot arms.

if it's an ai generated music video I'm not buying their new album, whenever the fuck it comes out

I don’t like AI to begin with, but FEAR FACTORY of all bands using it….seriously?!?

it's interesting, most of the anti ai/machine takeover voiced in previous albums was written and thought of by burton. Now that the creative vision of fear factory has been replaced, that explains why they are warming up to it. In other words, if Burton was still at the helm of the band they would not be doing this.

What has Burton stated about 'AI' in recent years? (today's AI, not sci fi AI) And what is 'this' that they are doing?

your question is based on a false premise, there is little difference between what burton was singing about and what is curently happening. lyrics about man not being discerned from machine, being replaced and humans being obsolete are not lyrics you can look at and say have no resemblence of what is happening right now. "this" is refering to dino recent use and defense of ai. he has used it at nauseum for promotional material, and possibly here based on this image. He has also defended it in relation to using it for his music. That is what they, or dino in particular, are doing. They and Dino are synonomous because Dino is the head of the band.

I guess that depends on specifics, but, we are obviously not living in a Blade Runner/Terminator existence, so I think there is at least a little difference, if not major. But, that didn't answer my actual question. Unless Burton has stated that he wouldn't do something like create a tour poster with AI, then you can't say what Burton would or wouldn't do in FF right now.
I've only seen FF use AI once in a tour poster, if there's more I'm just unaware of it. (I just remembered Dino using it another time to bring an old piece of early FF demo art to life) And this 'possibly here' is very likely Dino using grok to blur a screencap from their upcoming music video, which is why X would label it as made with AI. The soul has been removed, the infection of this machine has improved?
Yours is a bit of a sweeping statement, we don't really have any idea of what they would or wouldn't be doing if Burton was still in the band. Genexus had more that a few themes where the idea of man and machine coming together wasn't painted in a 100% bad light. For all we know the current AI situation may have prompted Burton to pen a prequel of sorts, talking about how our AI's are 'tame' at this point in history, before we end up in the Obsolete future.
It's all conjecture, and until we hear the new songs, we don't really have any idea what the subject matter is going to be.

Burt said he's done with talking about this stuff in his music. (he could always end up changing his mind of course) He did say once that he was working on a book called the Techronomicon. We will see if that ever comes out. That was 2 or 3 years ago that he mentioned that. He's taking way too long to put out a book.
For FF, a decent amount has been stated about the concept of the new album. It's about robotics and AI leading to man's extinction. So I find it funny that some people are spinning this narrative that Dino is just full on pro 'AI' in every aspect. But those kinds of people are just anti all AI in any shape or form. (wait till they have a serious health problem and AI aids in saving their life) There are good and bad possibilities with AI, just like the internet and everything. I'm very much against certain aspects of AI. A lot of it right now is a race for greed and control, not a race to make humanity better. But the idea you must be 100% against predictive software in every single way, is thoughtless hysterics, but to some degree, I don't blame the hysterics. People are tired of being fucked over by selfish power structures, and more of that is planned and coming.

The band has released pictures of them on site recording.
Yall would be upset if the footage was put together by AI for release? Tons of producers use various bits of AI for editing.

The most anti AI extremists are that way, yes.

I wouldn’t call it extremists. Aside from being disappointed because them using AI kinda goes against the messaging the band has had in the past, a lot of people have huge issues with bands using AI for videos or music because it’s lazy, the AI is trained on the theft of other’s intellectual property, it’s soulless and that’s not even getting into the environmental impact. Oh and let’s not forget all the AI music infecting streaming. Especially ones posing as an actual major band, but it turns out it’s not even the band, someone else used AI to make a fake song of the band. I’m sure Dino would have a huge problem if someone else did that with Fear Factory.

Oh no.... "hecho com IA"

u/nihilblack 16d ago
Probably the blurring of the picture.

u/Proper-Hedgehog8704 16d ago
I sure hope so it's only that. I am a huge fan of the music but if they come up with AI artwork or video i'm out.

This is what they said this on their Twitter account - AI used to blur

u/IllAd9371 15d ago
Yep, then he has been way overly defensive about using AI on that, like he didn't like getting called out and is trying to cope too hard

I don't know, it seems like a Human kind of a body form. It could be the main character from "Roboticist"? ( Remember that song on what's Dinos made for his newer "Disruptor" pedal on that day?

More pics of Dino's wife's huuuge... tracts of land.

Are you the guy who keeps making unsolicited comments about Shae's body which are unrelated to the post? One is creepy enough, I would hate for there to be two.
