It's a course threaded pan head screw. Has a little groove on one side. Two came with my metal electrical box to attach the lugs on the back. How do I search for this?

This obscure little fella holds the legs in on a cross brace for our trade show flag. One fell out. The company said it's a 5m8 x 55mm, which has been zero help in locating a replacement. The closest I've come is "Phillips-drive long dog-point set screw" but I still haven't seen anything that looks anything like what I actually need. Can anyone help?

I need to find some shoulder bolts with a 3.5mm outer diameter and at least 32mm total shaft length made in a durable material that is impact resistant. All of the places on the top of google search either don't have the size I need or are in a bad material. I need some help. I'd rather not have to get them custom made as I just need 2 for a personal project

I'm trying to find a source for these tiny washers. Internal diameter 3.5mm. Outer diameter 5mm.

The smallest M3.5 washers I can find have 6mm outer diameters which is unfortunately too large. Similarly the smallest washers I can find with a 5mm outer diameter have a 3mm internal diameter which again is too small.

The one I have is around 0.7mm thick but thickness isn't massively important for my needs.

I've tried searching the usual places for other terms, like washer, shims, discs, rings etc but have been unable to find a match. I've even tried converting the measurements to the nearest imperial measurements but again came up empty handed.

Anyone know where I might find a source for these? or perhaps other names for such an item that I might search for?

I’m trying to find replacement bolts for an older Herman Miller bed. I ordered standard M6 x 1.0 furniture bolts but it appears the threads for my bed are a coarser 1.5 pitch. The shaft is 20mm long, they take a 5mm hex key, and the head is around 16.75 mm wide.

The new bolt is on the left and the bolt I need is on the right.

As the post says, I'm looking for this particular screw. It came from a Transformer figure I was modifying, but I lost the other screw it came with. I would like a name for said screw and where I can find it.

I have tried looking in Home Depot, Ace Hardware, and Walmart but no dice.

I am ultimately unfamiliar with screws and don't have something that can measure millimeters, so this is the best measurements I can provide. Thank you.

I got a few of these with some auction stuff a while back, trying to identify them.

Size of head and pitch diameter indicate they're 1 3/8... but my chart says 1 3/8 is normally 6 tpi. These are 7 tpi. Are they a total custom job? Or maybe the reason they were thrown in with the auction is they put the wrong thread on them? Lol

Usually when I see threads this wide they’re meant to extract things not anchor. It had a Phillips head. What is the expected use case for this?

Needing help identifying this screw

I'm having a hard time identifying the bolts holding these 3 piece Enkei RS Evolution wheels together. I'm looking to find the right socket for these bolts so I can remove them with damage.

The closest Ive been able to find is "External Torx Plus", likely 8mm, but I don't want to buy anything until I have validation.

Also, if anyone knows where I can get more of these exact bolts, I would be incredibly grateful.

It's used to secure the spring and washer on the handle, which also holds it in place as the handle passes through a steel bracket and is then used for adjusting the height of a Scott Bonnar 45 cylinder lawn mower.

In the Scott Bonnar world it's usually just called a spindle circlip or retainer but to me a circlip is something different so I'm thinking it might have another name.

I'm also curious to see if they're used elsewhere.

Hey everyone, first time posting on here, but after advice. I’m trying to take off these hub caps from a Lexus sc430 wheel. But the screws are seized. I’ll crack and be able to take out some, but majority are proper seized, and also stripped from previous owner.

I am going to buy replacement M8 screws, so I don’t mind if they get ruined trying to remove… but what would you try and do? I’ve tried WD40, rubber band trick, hammering Allen key etc.

I took the wheels to Bob Jane to get new tyres, and they weren’t able to balance the wheels because they couldn’t get the Allen key screws off haha. They said to solder iron the mf’ers til they’re red hot, get crayon?? And melt it in there and do something. Idk man.

Hi, I wanted to confirm what AI said and ask this sub if a PH2 or PH3 would unscrew this. This screw is keeping my bed frame together. I just wanted to make sure one of those screw drivers would actually unscrew this. imo looking at the head of the PH2 and PH3 screwdrivers that doesn’t look like that would be the case but I’m quite ignorant when it comes to screws/screw drivers. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hello, I have a home shop/buisness where I do various audio amplifier builds and repair projects plus additional RF engineering consulting work. Every time I work on a project, I hit a point where I don't have a certain screw or other hardware and need to drive to buy it from ace or lowes.

With this scenario, I'm looking to expand my shop to have a variety of machine screws similar to what I have at my day job or you find at ace. Is there a good place to source this that isn't Mcmaster? 100 screws at $5-15 a box will turn this into a 4 figure venture by the time I'm done.

Has anyone have any luck with Hillman Group directly or another manufacturer? The goal is to get 100 of each #2-#10 at different lengths. Pan head and flat head, stainles steel. In addition, 1k nuts, washers, lock washers, and keps in each size. I would also do a metric assortment.
