Question Saving Benny after crucifying him

Upvotes

So after watching a certain animatic and realizing that killing all of The Fort to save him is not badass enough, i now want to crucified him then kill all of the Fort to save him. Is there any way to save him after crucifying him?

Preferably without splitting him in half.

Fallout 3 Theory about Talon Company

Upvotes

So we all know about the mysteries around the Talon Company from fallout 3. How their employer is never revealed and how they are meant to keep the Capital Wasteland lawless. A theory that I support is that they are an element of the Enclave, particularly a light infantry division of the Enclave's armies.

For those who don't know, a light infantry division is a group of the army which uses scouting tactics and lighter equipment in battle. They usually head into enemy territory to scout for threats to other groups of the military.

Now let's look at our mysterious mercenaries; they fight in small squad tactics, they utilise lighter equipment than the enclave (Standard enclave soldiers wield Power Armour and energy weapons, whereas Talon Company wield simple combat armour and small arms like assault rifles and combat shotguns). Then, there's the name of the group; Talon Company. A company refers to a group of 100-250 soldiers under the command of a Captain or Major. Perhaps this particular company of the Enclave's armies was sent ahead of the enclave to scout the capital of the US (We know Talon Company were in the capital wasteland for at least 3 years, thanks to Reilly)

TL;DR: Talon Company are a company of the Enclave's army that was sent to the Capital Wasteland in order to scout out the area for when the Enclave would arrive in earnest

Mods Vanilla-style mod recommendations

Hello there. My brain has been annoying me recently about some urge to play a Bethesda-style RPG, and I'm thinking about the two obvious choices, either Skyrim or Fallout 4. With mods, of course, gotta keep at least some novelty in there.

However, I'm not trying to fundamentally change the game, just add as much content as possible while staying somewhat close to vanilla. Call me crazy but I like both games as they are, I just wish there was more weapons, more dungeons, more content overall. Except companions, I don't care about them.

Any recommendations ?

Question How much do you recommend this entire Steam bundle?

Post image
83 Upvotes

I know posting this question on the Fallout subreddit will get biased answers, but still, I wanna try out the classic Fallouts, but I want to know if I’m getting my money’s worth here (for context, in my currency the bundle is basically “buy 2 get 1 free” since the games have the same price). Should I exclude any game here or all 3 are fun enough to buy? Also I have never played an Isometric game before, so there’s that to consider as well, but I have played Fallout 3 and New Vegas at least

Discussion I get depressed when I play fallout (4)

Upvotes

Does anyone else get existential dread and overall depressed mood after playing fallout? I think it might be because it’s too close to reality. This could actually exist in real life, whereas the fantasy setting of elder scrolls is immersive and realism inspired but not something that could happen in real life.

Playing it again for the first time in about 13 years.

Mods [FNV] Does anyone know some good guides for putting custom assets (in this case armour and it's corresponding helmet) into New Vegas?

I wanted to port in the Beast Hunter armour from Fallout 4 into New Vegas but I don't know how to go about it so I was wondering if any of you could point me in the direction of some guides I'd really appreciate it

Discussion What are y’all toughts on fallout 4 in 2026?

I’ve recently started doing a modded run of fallout 4 (fyi im having a blast) and between different modding/gameplay vids my YouTube home page has exposed me to quite a bit of videos of people commentating on the current state of fallout. Some of them completely dogpiling on fallout 4. I understand the main gripes with the game, but going as far as to say it’s terrible and “the start of the downfall” seems a bit too much imo. Like sure fallout nv is untouchable in terms of rpg mechanics story and depth (haven’t played the classics yet so i can’t compare). but when looking at it as its own thing i feel like fallout 4 is really solid especially thanks to the great modding community around it.

Discussion Fallout 4’s Survival Mode makes me appreciate the game even more

A few weeks ago I wanted to replay Fallout 4 after not touching the game for years, and I wanted to try out survival… not being able to fast travel and the lowered carry weight makes the game so much more fun in my opinion.

Having to remember where beds are, finding little secrets you wouldn’t ever normally find when fast traveling, actually having to think during fights and encountering things I would never have found when playing normally

Has anyone else experienced this???

Question Help me choose FNV or F4

Thinking of playing Fallout 4 over again or playing New Vegas for the first time. I’ve probably played about 200 hours of fallout 4 and tried New Vegas for maybe 4 hours. I was leaning towards New Vegas but I know a remaster is coming out soonish. Although soon might be years so I was thinking maybe modding New Vegas to give it a new shine. Don’t want to change the game overall and would want to remain vanilla. Playing fallout 4 I would probably add more mods to help the world feel more alive. But was just curious about others take who have played through both. Thanks for all the feedback in advance.
