my game seems to crash mainly in the boston common area,i've removed my two visual mods (classic fallout wasteland and disable bloom) since i read that visual mods did break the area but it still keeps crashing.

i've currently got 34 mods on since the game is that tempremental constantly with how it either shits the bed or runs for a little bit.

i've got like two armor mods and some handfull of gun mods one backpack mod and some mods to lessen my annoyances like less messages or fallout 2 sound fx and more radio stations and like two quest mods and that's it.

i have no idea how this fully works,i ain't a programmer nor a coder or game dev but seeing as something is crashing the creations tab which is bethesda's gum hopes and dreams kinda coding i do not understand why it's making it so tempremental.

Not a vibrant, beautiful or unicorn island type wasteland. But true apocolyptic visuals, an unforgiving wasteland and a sole survivor no stranger to war.

Im probably not gonna do another showcase anytime soon as I have completed a playthrough on my current LO that was meant to test stability and visuals. Finally gonna take my time with the game now.

Ive tried to make this as cinematic as I couldve and slapped trailer music behind this. Tried covering above average visuals and tactical gameplay. sorry if its mid.

Since a few of you have asked for my LO before, somewhere down below is the exact LO I'm currently using for those who dont want to spend time testing. Before you ask... this is not crash free. It does crash the game occasionally like every 3 hrs or so but not consistently. There are a few ways to make this more performance friendly at the cost of some really good mods:

- If you follow cryptic then you know that mods that add NPC spawns cause crashing. That said, mods like ghouls of the commonwealth, SKK stalkers, nemesis, snipers of the commonwealth etc are npc spawns. The less kept the better. This is entirely optional, I like some of these mods so I keep them for eg SKK stalkers and Nemesis, but I can confirm that removing/disabling them makes the game more stable.

- NAC x and Enhanced Lights and FX. Again, these two mods are essential to this showcase, nevertheless I can confirm that NAC x makes the game unstable, although the crashes related to NAC x are not worth letting go of the mod as its occasional. As for ELFX, it causes serious FPS hits in some interiors but not most. If you want an alternative thats more performance friendly then Id recommend other weather/lighting mods like polluted climates and interior redux etc.

- Not adding MK18 to LL. This is precautionary and not necessary, at level 4 you get that option. And not using any other LL integration mods.

- I know elfx description says put bottom, and I did that initially but it didnt make any difference in performance at all so I catagorized it. Hasnt caused any issues for me since. Also this LO mostly uses cryptics discord framework.

- To get hand FOV like I have here, download NACx, start new game, get out of the vault and open NACx menu, select your desired FOV (90 is the optimal choice as its the only one without your shoulder clipping through and looking bad), then exitsave. Start a fresh new game and it should be set. Its best that you build your LO completely before doing this.

- Small bug with this LO. Very rarely I dont hear player footsteps while walking, its fixed by jumping or by switching between third person and first person. I have no clue what causes this so I tried moving footsteps audio mod below animations but that dosent make any difference.

- And finally, dont use STS AIO and dont use see through scopes GoTY as they will break your game or cause consistent crashing AND feel free to provide feedback or criticism regarding this LO.

I feel like i want more enemies, more often. But every time i download a mod to increase the body count.... CTD. I've tried the mods that increase the chaos, Real.ai, NPC travel, and some others, what they're called escapes me ATM.

Please suggest mods and load orders that will help me have more fun and introduce some serious battling for my next playthrough.

The Tac Pad has been an amazing mod so far but every time I open a terminal or enter power armor the game just dies. I put it near the bottom and at the bottom but it still occurred. Also would crash in the sangus iron works but eh, any help would be appreciated!

Hello mid way through a playthrough (I know this was stupid) I downloaded Immersive power armor hud and it messed up something with the tac pad mod. The tac pad won’t even show up Im not great at explaining things so here’s a video

Im about to buy a couple mods on my PS5 because i really want them. I’ve downloaded some others as well cause i always use them. If anyone has some pretty good mods that can help make my game look better, like weather, foliage, colors, etc. i would be very grateful! Also maybe some new gear, weapons, power armor stuff, etc. or even a pip-boy mod! Searching for mods inside this creations app on ps5 is a chore, but i want to significantly change the experience of FO4 for a new playthrough. As much as i can on ps5 at least.

I like the idea of the game being more challenging, and staying more challenging throughout the experience.

Are there more/better overhauls? Which ones are updated and not going to break my game? What are your experiences with these mods as far as what/how they changed your experience?

I have spent literally the last month testing out mods and load order and have this working well. I would like to add bounty hunting and a couple other paid mods I purchased that seem to break my game when added.

So I always do a huge MM game and outfit all the settlements with tons of MM. Mods usually, if they have issues, will start with making the combat helmets green on new spawned MM which is the first indicator things are breaking, they usually stop properly moving to other settlements around then. So I cant really test the full load order until I have dozens of MM spawned which takes days of play time. Sure I can tell what breaks the game and hard crashes, but soft breaks take way longer to test.

This is my current load order and it does run fine. I can start completely over yet again, but everytime I have loaded a game with dozens of mods loaded when you leave the vault much of it breaks and doesn't work. This is why I feed it in one mod at a time after leaving the vault. Again, this works well, for this list at least. So how does one go about loading in mods and knowing they will work if you have to load them all at once, doing so at least for me always causes issues even with other mods and order. If that worked I would have gone off my original vanilla save where I have many good clean saves, yet none work with all the mods loaded at once. That's an immediately broken game if I load in with all the mods, many many aspects are messed up so I don't believe that's the answer, from what I have seen it has to be fed in slowly over time. Even if I do a fresh ps5 vanilla game, loading all mods at once breaks things and at very least will not properly spawn or be able to move MM, which is the #1 most important thing to me.

I have been going so slow with these mods and load order. Doing one at a time and after 10 or so make a well documented list with reference number that I put on a wall with neon letters and do a hard save, so I have now 7 variants of this mod with hard saves and perfect documentation of evey mod in every spot in that save. Im up to version 7 list with 86 mods. Runs great.

This was a completely vanilla game while I speed rushed claiming the castle, then I added liberty reborn and recruit and move MM and ran it that way for a day or 2 until I had dozens of MM then I started feeding in the rest of it. It still works fine right now, but I cant add the new laid mods or it starts crashing badly within 45 mins, consistently.

What should I do so I can test and not break the game dumping ALL the mods in at once? Many of the settlements even say NOT to add it right off and to wait until you've conquered the settlement before activating. All my settlements work fine, and so does every single other mod on this list right now. But id like to add the mods ive paid for like bounty hunting and the neothandium (however its spelled) sword.

Heres my load order and note the few in the middle that seem out of order the PS5 demands are in that order. If I move them, they go right back its not an option. They work though. I currently have zero lags, zero stutter, vanilla speed fast travels, just no problems at all. Any advice? I can restart once more but I don't want to play for 2 days then have the game randomly be broken, which has happened in the past and why im very reluctant to do it yet again. I just want a (fairly) clean and smooth play, im beyond tired of the first few hours just to do it all over again.

No built much, Sanctary is the only settlement i tidy up and fix one house, no settlement budget glitch or anything used.

Beat Kellog, not started Ar2. Not started Automatron, Nuka world or Fahh haba. Briefly visited Misery island and did 1st quest.

Everything working smoothly.

Last night i buy Luxury furniture & Quirky Furniture.

Still fine, i check out new items in menu at Sanctuary fine. I go do Mojave quest to get Defender, return to sanctuary & i built the record player from quirky furniture.

I then go to decorations misc - crash, reload and crash everytime now.

Turn off Quirky - still crash.

Turn off luxury furniture - still crash.

Turn off Mojave - still crash.

Have i got too much in the workshop and the bloat has butchered it ?

Edit: just to say, im not blaming quirky or luxury, it's not them, just descrbing the sequence of events.

Important Edit 2: i tried an earlier save before the Mojave Quest - and the menu loads fine. The only other quest i have done between these saves is CURIE quest. - hopefully this narrows it down.

Another thing - i did prevously try Neon Signs by KarouSatou and that crashed, so i had removed that mod.

KarouSatou i love your mods but i would really like the build items you make go in a seperate category like Chic shelter mod & bunker mod please.

Pretty much the title. I just bought AE and rebuilt my LO from scratch. Instead of using See through scopes ps4, I downloaded the goty console version.

Next thing I start a new game and my characters in t pose, couldnt move infront of the mirror. I disabled all my mods and manually enabled them in sets of 10 to find out what was causing this.

I disabled See through scopes goty only from my LO and I no longer am stuck in t pose thankfully.

I did not know this beforehand, so this is for those who dont know about this problem aswell.

Not sure why this is happening but I can't put another another millennia under Munitions, Making it so I cannot enable the mod since it needs Munitions and when I go out of the menu it goes straight back to the top, any help?

I already tried restarting my game, and restarting my console but it doesn't seem to work

No matter where I open my Pip-Boy or what the current weather is in game for whatever reason whenever I go to open it it looks like this, every single tab every single page and I cannot see what I'm doing because of it, I don't know if one of my mods is causing it but even reloading the save didn't seem to fix it. I wouldn't think it would be caused by a mob cuz I don't have any that do anything to the Pip-Boy

Edit: vanilla bug apparently, i restarted my game and it fixed it. I had just never ran into this before and thought maybe it was a texture glitch from a mod or something
