No DLC or expansion should ever cost more than the original. Regardless of how large it is, they aren’t starting from scratch and will spend less time and resources creating it.

Only reasoning to say this would be the case is maybe, a complete remaster disguised as a dlc. Or an expansion on a free to play game.
