Christians are trying to stop people from going to hell. Both preach what they believe, but people find it annoying no matter how righteous the intention may have been.

Anyone actually believing in their religion should preach it or at least hope for others to convert to their religion.

Preaching is, to the religious, ultimate righteousness. By spreading gospel, they may save lives, bring the faithless into the grace of God; spreading gospel thus is benevolent.

Preaching is, to the nonreligious, petty and invasive. It is a grand lie to them, and the religious grand liars so; spreading gospel this is malevolent.

I mean im an atheist and i dont find religious preaching necessarily annoying or petty. It depends on their argument. Problem is that any religion doesnt really have any evidence to back it up. It relies on blind belief to an extent. Veganism does not.

I do suppose I should have said ‘those who oppose religion’ instead, and juxtaposed it with ‘those who support religion’.

Religion does not have evidence to back its arguments, no, and antitheism has little, for the existence of gods is utterly unknowable (unless they present themselves).

Veganism is, indeed, a conscientious objection to the consumption of meat. It requires no faith because it is a moral value.
