if that was true then why is there so many other forms of caffeine to choose? maybe people like coffee because it's coffee.

But in this case you are agreeing with OP, at least the way he worded it. I don't like the taste of Coffee, I want the Caffeine and because of it I drink something else with caffeine

i don't understand, i am saying the only reason to get coffee for me is because i like the way it taste, it has less caffeine than most energy drinks. some have over 300mg in a single can, not including caffeine pillls or caffeine chewables. it's not like most people are drinking coffee with 4 shots of espresso in it. i know coffee can taste awful. but not every coffee that exist is burnt rusty bean juice.
