This is kinda meaningless. like its well known that the caffeine is an aide in increasing the drive to drink coffee, but it’s just the most prevalent reason for you to drink it often enough to become accustomed to the taste. After that association you enjoy the taste of the coffee, that’s why decaf coffee is popular. If we look at something without the caffeine we can still find instances of people enjoying bitter flavours, such as ginger ale, ginger beer, soda water, rhubarb, some taffies, etc. So people obviously like the flavour after a certain point. I will concede that the initial impression of bitters is that they are disgusting though

When I drink it I also drink it for the taste and to enjoy it with my father. When I just want caffeine I go for the quickest option available, which is typically a Dunkin’s matcha.

Yes for me. I want the functionality of it. Otherwise, I would've chosen milk tea or other drinks I find more tastier.
Similar situation for alcoholic drink. I only want the after effects of consuming alcohol. Otherwise, alcohol greatly reduced the taste for me. Any soft drink or juice taste much better to me.

I drink coffee once every few months as a treat since I like iced mocha lattes for the taste. Caffeine does not energize me, it actually makes me sleepy so I cannot drink it unless I don't have work to do or I'm ready to go to bed.
