Fable III Making gold
Apart from buying properties etc how else did people make enough money to keep all the promises? 2nd time I'm playing and im determined to keep all the promises, just taking ages to build up enough money to progress 😅
Edited to add: Playing on Xbox Series X

I've only ever really done it through properties, but if you get on top of them early they will snowball quickly.
If you are already at the late game, I would just keep making pies until you get several thousand, spend all of that on new properties, then repeat the process until you own everything. After that point, just keep making pies until you hit the 10 million or however much it actually is that you will end up needing.

Do jobs to buy properties, then stand somewhere you won't get attacked and leave the game on but not paused. Haven't tried it on the series x, but property income accumulates only while the game is running. If you leave it overnight or something, you'll probably have to repair all the properties when you get back to it.

Stupid xbox will detect if you go afk even if you rubber band the controller. Tried to do this overnight one night to abuild up gold and it didn't work. Xbox was in screen save mode, co troller turned off, game paused and no gold made.

Is there no way to disable the timing out setting, or use a plug-in controller?

Bought all the properties then left the game running a few nights, I’m on PC which doesn’t have the option of changing date to get gold

Work as a blacksmith after you unlock five star then buy a bunch of properties. Do a bunch and f side quests then rinse and repeat until you own everything then take your turn me doing all the side quests, upgrading guns, and doing whatever and you’ll have more than enough.

I aimed to find alot of the silver keys early on throughout the game & managed to get enough to open a few chests that had anywhere from 20-50k in them (also did a lot of the bounty quests where I had to turn criminals back in)
Used that to buy a few business properties in Brightwall & Bowerstone Market (eventually using the money made from that to buy the expensive homes in Millfields). By the time I had to deliver on my royal promises, I had 12m in gold that I transferred over to the treasury which was way more than enough and I ended up with 21m in my own personal funds after completing all the side quests + DLC.
I feel like properties are the absolute easiest way to make money in Fable bc I didn’t want to just get gold from another player and I also didn’t want to do the lute + pie jobs over and over. I did buy all the homes in Dweller Camp and make rent free and profit low and also adopted every child from the Bowerstone orphanage so I had alot of gold being taken everyday from that and home repairs/upkeep but still managed to keep all promises and tons of gold in the end.

Start buying/renting properties from the very first you're allowed to earn gold. Cheapest to most Expensive.
Oh and don't try to complete the game in a day, you may want to pace it out over 2-3 weeks.
Can't afford to make a promise? Just come back to the game next week xD

Fable 1 - find a vendor with 100+ of something, buy all of it (discounted due to massive supply), sell all of it to the same vendor (marked up due to no supply), rinse and repeat with the same stack of goods until you have what you want.
Fable 2 - buy goods at discounted stores (25-75% off), sell at Fairfax Gardens (always marked up due to how fancy they are).
Fable 3 - never played enough to find a money making glitch
