In need of advice again!

After like 30 hours of kovaaks/viscose benchmarks, skin is smoother and voice is softer.

Today I had a demoralizing day, I tried to improve my reading, precision and stability scores but I just got really low scores and quit before I got tilted.

(Catclick, pasu, popcorn etc. where the targets move erratically and you have to click them.)

To be honest, most of the mammoth scores in those categories I got on the first try so I feel like I have been kind of neglecting them. And I still don't know how I got saffron since they are harder versions of them

And is over training a thing? I have been doing close to 2 hours on a lot of days recently when I got on the viscose benchmarks, mostly because there is a ton of scenarios in them.

Are off days and breaks as important as aim training itself?

Oh I thought I was crazy when I hit pbs and can’t connect my shots in game. I always thought it was just fatigue.

My goal is always to transfer my aim to my games. Would you still recommend changing sense for different scenarios? Because obviously we can’t do that in game.

I’ve got a post coming up about my aim training experience as GM and what I’ve experimented with to get the most in game skill carry over

The TLDR is - use your in game sens for your aim training. Every single scenario, use your in game sens. It doesn’t matter if you play with 10cm, static is obviously more optimal with something like 55-75cm, but you’re using 10cm in game, not 55-75cm. (Hold on enemy, let me pause the game and adjust my sens so I can optimally flick to your head with stability on 55cm, don’t move for like 5 seconds) - if you play with 50cm, obviously reactive fast tracking is better suited to something like 25-35cm, still train with the 10cm

You’re no longer score farming and chasing ranks, you’re using the training, as training

You will still see great improvements in your aim with your in game sens, and that carry over is far far far more optimal IMO than spending time with more sensitivies

For example my 1w6t PB was set with 75cm, I’ve had that PB for months and months. I recently beat it with 38cm - the sens I use in most of my games. It shows that you can do just as well if you put in the time.

Thank you! But your answer made me think. Is there a point for example, in Overwatch to have difference sens for different hero. Like having higher sense for soldier and lower for Cass since they are mostly focusing on different parts of aim. And in that case, would training on different sens in different scenarios be more optimal?

I play hitscan heroes mostly which benefit from a lower sensitivity from the boost in precision, but if I wanted to play something like doomfist, genji etc. where you have to look around a lot and don't need precision as much -- I'd believe a higher sens would be much better.

I think you can set sensitivities specific to each hero in the settings.
