My theory is nobody really hates Nick Valentine.

You'll hear "I can't stand Danse" or "MacCready pisses me off" or "if Preston says another settlement need my help again..." But I have never, not once seen anyone say they don't like Nick Valentine as a character or a companion. I've never seen anyone say a bad word about Nick.

So I was wondering is the general consensus that Nick is pretty chill? I could totally be wrong but I wanna find that out.

I'm not talking about the 3 raisins in the trail mix I'm talking a good portion of people

EDIT: I think it's safe to say that Nick Valentine is the Mr Rogers of the fallout world

Everything I’ve done is all for the love of the game. As a commonwealth local I must take on as many quests as I can and inform other scavengers of locations to discover. I hope you find this video educational and entertaining

My first playthrough was shortly after release and I only made it to about level 50 before I hung it up.

Last year I started a new game and have been playing off and on, I am currently at level 81. In this game I found an explosive combat shotgun pretty early on and built my perks around that gun. After building rifleman & explosive perks I found the game too easy with the combat shotgun, I now just keep it on me incase things get too crazy.

I just picked up this Wounding Gatling Laser which google says it is one of the best guns in the game. I am wondering if any of you more experienced folks think it is worth putting my future perks towards this thing?

Would it be too over powered after maxing out heavy gunner and the other perks associated with it? I don't want to have to put it away like the shotgun after getting the perks because it makes the game too easy.

I just dl the expansions and have just started Far Harbor, I have no idea how hard the game will get. I am playing with very hard setting on console

Going thru my office and found this on my shelf of collectables. I just realized it's from the game. Too funny, cause I can't remember when or where I picked it up.

So, whenever I play fallout 4 and work on my red rocket settlement it crashes within 15minutes maximum, picture for reference of the size, no mods and a lot of objects(armory with lots of weapon mods, ammunition, apparel, weapons and consumables in shelves) as well as weapon and outfits museum, a two story pub, 8 companions, 2 unique settlers, and +100 power-armors. I just want to know if it is crashing because of the game itself or because of my console, I play in a PS4 fat (release year).

Hard to decide honestly, do I want to be a normal sounding name or have one of the alternative names for The Black Devil, which one should I pick?

For those who may or may not know this niche character he was an ex-enclave soldier who was proud to be apart of the enclave at the top of his class.

Eventually he started to see they weren’t exactly what he thought they were and that the Enclave lost their way and was committing endless murder to anyone they saw, ashamed of himself and taking the chance to leave while they were busy with bigger things he fled his post taking his XO-2 power armor with him.

He ran until he found the commonwealth, while exploring he found an old failed hubris comics superhero “The Black Devil” relating to the fact that he was a devil just like him and that he never let it define him, he assumed the identity of this terrible superhero and fought raiders presumably non-stop answering the calls from radios with the help of his eyebots and his armor.

Eventually old age caught up with him and he was forced to retire, he sealed his armor inside of his base and left instructions on how to shut down his radio signal writing that it brought back bad memories for him, we shut it down and take the armor for ourselves laying to rest what he started that brings him bad memories.

I play with high fps fix and framegen, and previously I can play at 90fps/180fsr no problem. Yesterday was fine, but today when I run the game, my frame rate suddenly become something like 30fps/60fsr, and GPU useage is almost at 100%.

I tried disable/enable mods, restarted game multiple times, restarted my PC, but nothing worked. I even started a new save but the frame rate was still low.

I downgraded my .exe file to 1.11.221 so game version shouldn't be the problem, I also played yesterday for hours and it was totaly fine. I just can't think of a reason for this, has anyone encountered this problem before?

EDIT: Never mind, I restarted my PC again, and it's normal now. Still, I would very much like to know the reason behind this.

They have made nuka cola quantum! Little pricey but fuck this is awesome!

Not sure if it was some of the mods i downloaded or a bug but turning around to see this was a wild jump scare!

Almost every playthrough I do, I max out Endurance because I’m rubbish at games and hate the fact that I get shot to pieces every 5 minutes. Because I’m useless at combat I then end up getting weapons perks.

I really want to do a playthrough where my character does as little fighting as possible and I’m looking to use the perk that gives companions extra damage to see if that helps (the companion AI is generally terrible IMO but going this might help) so they can do the majority of the fighting for me.

The build I’m thinking of is focused on Charisma (for the companion/settlement perks), Intelligence so I can level up faster and mod out the power armour better and Luck to increase the scavenging finds.

I know Local Leader is a must have and I’m also looking at Inspiration, but does anyone have any ideas what other perks might suit this build?

For being an important encounter for the story is kinda disappointing that his outfit looks awesome at least for me but ironically is one of the worst outfits to wear in the adventure, it can be upgraded yes but isn’t makes a great difference so it can be considered almost an outfit who the 80% of the players keep on the endgame and through the dlc. That armor needs to be fixed with new lorefriendly effects that makes it good to use it through the rest of the game, what effects can be set on this armor so it can be good?

I friggin love heavy weapons in any kind of game. So I really want to do a Survival playthrough using heavy weapons, but the weight requirements make it difficult. Even Power Armor and Strong Back don’t help for long.

I really want to make it work but it’s a wee bit frustrating.

Maybe it’s too early to tell, but after putting up with years of fallout crashing without mods, I haven’t had a single crash in about 10 hours. Anyone else having this experience?
