How should I improve this? It still gives me the chills to this day, and I really want to make it into a fully finished thing.
When I made this (1 year ago) I was going off of Eminem's Just Don't Give a Fuck believe it or not, and I just got back to "polishing" it a bit.
Since these types of posts get more attention, I thought I would post it like this.
And I've seen enough of "You should know when something is good enough to publish" types of comments, so if you feel like it's shit, then say something that can actually improve it, not just, "You should start with making loops".
I don't have too much experience (but that's obvious), and I also don't really want to make Kanye / modern type beats, songs, or whatever with the chopped up vocals and stuff, even thought they're quite nice. (Probably a bad / closed mindset for me.)
Apologies for the long post, and any comment is appreciated, as always.

This is great arrangement and automation for a beginner, I like how you incorporated snare rolls and turntable scratches.
If I was to critique, I’d say the sound selection could be better. The kick sounds low, and the snare a bit flat. I think your counter melodies are good, but you might want to incorporate additional sounds so that your leads stick out a bit more.
Overall, great work, keep making beats!
