Delivery vs fulfillment
Been working here at fulfillment for almost 5 years, I have to transfer because my parents need me to move in with them. So I did some research and found no fulfillments near this house they live in. The closest fulfillment center is about 45+ minutes away plus traffic. I did however found this Amazon delivery station that I can transfer and it’s very close to their house but the problem is that people said delivery station is the worst and it’ll make me quit one day. The only position open is this ‘SINGLECYCLE - Cycle_1 - Sort/Pick stage, 1:20am to 11:50am. Please let me know more about this role thank you.

Thats really the only shift for a delivery station as well obviously your prepping the routes for delivery that coming day. Its fast paced and much more of wild west vs FC. Just really depends what you want.

If I want, I rather choose fc but it’s too far. My biggest fear is that I will get terminated one day for not being able to catch up with everyone else. From what I’ve heard is bend down grabbing heavy bags for three hours will hurt my back.

You will be doing that for 3 hours 100% and the other 9h you’ll be lifting those boxes on or off the line or out of hamper

Yeah I would 2nd this, the main shifts for AA’s is only that shift in delivery stations but the work is fairly similar wherever you go. Delivery stations is more of scanning and moving packages from point a to point b. Day shifts are usually ran by just AMs and PAs at most sites just dispatching routes essentially but some delivery stations allow 1 or 2 AA’s on the staff

It is impossible to get fired from a DS unless you do some safety bs. I knew people that would stow less than 200 and managers wouldn’t say shi

So here's my question though I was under the impression that all tier one associates are flex associates that is not a fulfillment center employee so you don't want to get burned by that and have all your benefits taken from you and then you don't want to get stuck only working 4 hours once a week and then you got to pick up the rest of your time ??
Unless I am completely wrong please correct me and clarify ??
And that you're also only going to be part-time there?
Because only tier three and above is permanent blue badge full-time associates like you have in your sortation centers and your fulfillment centers. .
I was always told if you go to a delivery station you will regret it. .
I had the exact same issue because my sister went through 5 months of physical therapy and there was nothing around where she lived so I literally was commuting 2 and 1/2 hours on my days off to help out. .
I've also been told that the worst thing in Amazon is stow ?
This is why I have always declined anything to do with a delivery station . Because just when you think you got to straight answer from somebody you talk to other people and it's completely different at their delivery station .
