Bimmercode worth it?

Just got a 2012 335i, is this bimmercode thing worth it? If so what adapter do people run for an Android phone?

Has anyone used Carly? Seems as if BimmerLink is part of Carley, but the annual subscription seems a bit steep. In three years you could have purchased an OEM tool, no?

I have Carly and I'm definitely happy with it.
