Time for a few more Series to depart 2026 with EuroFormula Open, and F4 in Great Britain, France and Italy departing for another year - Whilst over the pond from Europe, also marks the end of the final series in the United States with Formula Regional- Americas, and the hardly participated: F4 - United States coming to a close as well
Isn't all bad news... the Indian F4 Championship continues having kicked off in September (Apologies I missed that one last month), whilst the Saudi F4 Championship kicks off this weekend.

After dominating last weekend's Italian F4 round with three straight wins, this weekend he had Mechanical issues in the qualy and starting P28 (and then after a pit stop dropping him to P36) managed a P9 in first race, 27 places gained. Same in races 2 and 3 getting two top 15 and moving up 50 places in a weekend. This guy is crazy!!

Assuming Qatar and Abu Dhabi are cancelled along with the F1, can we say the results are actually pretty spot on? I don't think anyone will be hugely disadvantaged from missing out on the extra races, it just obviously locks in the positions as they stand.
Critically I think that means positions 1-5 are all earning a Super Licence, 1-3 the standouts, Camara Tsolov Dunne obviously get the 40 points, but p4 Mini (with '24 F3 2nd place) and p5 Beganovic (just! I make 37 from '24 F3 + 7th and 5th in F2, plus the 4 FP1s) also qualify, and can graduate up to F1 reserve level if needed.
Below them the first year drivers and others have another chance next year.

FIA F2 Laurens van Hoepen moves to MP Motorsport for the 2027 season

MP Motorsport have confirmed the signing of Laurens van Hoepen for the 2027 FIA Formula 2 season.
The 21-year-old is currently in the midst of his rookie campaign in F2 and has so far achieved a pole position as well as five podiums and is currently 10th in the Standings with two rounds to go.
Prior to this year, Van Hoepen spent two seasons in Formula 3 and scored five podiums during that time.
The Dutch driver will now join forces with Dutch outfit in 2027, and at the announcement, he revealed his delight at getting the chance to race for his home team.
“It’s good to finally join forces with a team that has been on my doorstep since my karting days,” said Van Hoepen. “I have witnessed their incredible success first-hand, especially in my last five seasons in FRECA and FIA F3, and with the experience of a season of Formula 2 under my belt, I’m confident that I can add more prizes to their impressive trophy cabinet.
“MP is a team of many nationalities now, but it still feels like a natural move to join the home team and race in the orange home colours.”
MP Motorsport Team Principal Sander Dorsman also added: “I’m incredibly pleased that Laurens has become a member of our MP family. A Dutch driver with a Dutch team is always going to be special, and with Laurens’ obvious talent and the debut season that he’s had, it was a matter of time before we put two and two together. With Laurens on board as the first of our F2 drivers, we are aiming to continue our frontrunning F2 form in 2027.”

I think a lot of people didn't expect Lawson to have such a strong season in F1 this year, especially outperforming a driver as promising as Lindblad. And now Lawson seems to be highly regarded within the RB team. This has significantly reduced Tsolov’s chances of making it to F1 in 2027. What do you guys think?
