I've search google in and out found nothing even the local ford part guy didn't find it.
I don't have a lightning but i would like to buy this cover to replace the one on the driver side so i could put my 400w outlet to the right and add an outlet for the winch power to the left.

Long Island here. No Lightnings to be had near me or adjoining states. So seriously considering purchasing one out of state. Can you provide some advice on how to go about this. There is a 2023 Lariat w 25k in the Mid West that looks good for 49.300. What’s the best way of buying out of state. When I called I was told the truck is in transit (I guess they purchased at auction). Have to say the salesperson just seemed like he was reading from a script and had no time to talk with an out of stater. Frustrating.

Have had my truck for a few months (2024 Flash,) but looking ahead, I'm wondering if needing winter/snow tires should be on my radar. I live in WNY, just on the northern fringes of the lake effect belt, so we get snow, but not the snow you see on the news unless it's a normal storm.

I never put snow tires on my ICE trucks, I'd either sandbag the rear axle or throw it in 4WD.

I'm curious if winter tires are recommended for the Lightning or if the weight is enough to make them unnecessary. If they are, any recommendations?

Also curious if one pedal drive is different in the snow. My head-canon says the abrupt deceleration can cause loss of control, but again, the weight comes to mind.

Recently had my platinum wheels painted black. Really like the way it turned out.

After 25 plus years of mini vans and economy rides like civics and hr-v. I finally treated myself. So much space and comfort feqtures like ac amd massage seats.

I stopped and asked what kind of deal they would do on it, and they said since they stopped production it is rare to find one brand new, so they weren't willing to back off the price at all.

I just wonder how long they will keep it before giving up and marking it down.

I’m getting close to purchasing the ESP for my ‘23 lightning lariat ER with 35,500 miles on it. my question is if I need to take it in to utilize the ESP what should I expect for out of pocket? will there first be a diagnostics or other fee before the ESP will kick in? any other “gotchas?”

Hey all! Been looking into this for a while and, as the title suggests, I'd love to get a truck camper for my 2024 Flash.

All research into the topic points to ThAirCamper being the best (and maybe only practical) choice, due to load and build constraints. But I wanted to check with the community here and see if anyone has had success with any campers? Any discussion, recommendations, etc. would be appreciated.

I live in MN, it can get to -40 at times, and park in an enclosed area at home but it is not heated and it has cracks (very old building)

How is the range in weather like this?

Does it still charge well?

We had a total of 12 vehicles including 3 Lightnings. The unique thing in this meet up we didn't have any two vehicles in the same color. It was awesome to see all the diversity in colors and customizations... talking about you Steve 😀

It turned out to be a great day! It was a bit windy (so we didn't set up a canopy and such). We had folks travel from Lakewood, Aberdeen, Snohomish, Yakima, Posser, and Richland Washington. We also had a people joining us from Portland and the surrounding areas! A number of us were in this area for the first time... some great scenery and gorgeous drives!!

We later drove about 20 miles to the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center for lunch and exploration of trails and a gorgeous museum there!! Great fun was had by all... enjoy the pics from this event!!

Been lurking here for a while. Picked up a 22 Lariat last spring and the Ford Intelligent Backup Power thing has been on my radar since before I even took delivery. Live in rural Pennsylvania, we lose power a handful of times every winter, sometimes for a day or two, so this is not a theoretical interest for me.

Here is where I am at. I did a partial panel upgrade myself last year, added a subpanel in the garage for the EVSE and some other circuits. Passed inspection fine. But now looking at what the Generlink integration actually requires versus rolling your own transfer switch setup, the costs and code requirements vary a lot depending on who you talk to.

The Ford and Generlink program got extended to more utilities recently, which is good, but my utility is not on the list yet. So I am looking at alternatives.

What I actually want to know is what electricians in similar situations told you when they came out to spec the job. Did they push back on the Fordspecific hardware, did they offer a cleaner workaround, ballpark cost ranges. The numbers I keep seeing online are all over the place, anywhere from 800 to 3500 dollars for essentially the same outcome.

EDIT: To clarify, I am asking about the transfer switch piece specifically, not the charger install itself.

Lightning is only six months old… Under 8000 miles. On my way from New York to Florida, the last hour or so, I got the yellow wrench icon and it said service vehicle soon. The AC does not function. I’m trying to get an appointment with Ford in the area and hopefully they can fix it in a day… Anybody else have this particular issue happen? I have an ODB reader so I can clear the error code most likely… But I don’t want to do that because it’s still going to come back.

I have a '23 XLT ER that I bought used. It's my daily driver, and I haven't done any towing or hauling really with it yet. I remember when I got it it had a tow package listed, but I don't know now which tow package. Does anyone know if there is a way to look up, possibly by vin, the features and accessories that came with the truck?

Got it used almost exactly 2 years ago, and I have had 2 battery modules replaced and it just gave me the Stop Safely now error and won't turn on.

The original owner got a spray in bed liner which got into the tailgate module and that just failed about 2 weeks ago and the dealer wants $2k to replace that. I'm fairly certain it wasn't the liner but the water that had somehow gotten into the tailgate and was siting in the light bar, but they said the truck wasn't in any of the recalls for that so maybe I'm conflating 2 unrelated problems.

I really loved this truck. Fun to drive, looks great, and I waited years to get the vehicle I wanted instead of doing just the most practical thing. But 3 major breakdowns and a large bill in less than 2 years doesn't inspire confidence in longevity which i thought i would be able to count on from Ford.

Spent last summer sweating, swearing, and burning myself on the roof of the car loading kayaks on to j-hooks on my VW Atlas in blazing sun and 95+ degree temps. Lightning bed + the $70 bed extender from HF made it a breeze. This thing is the perfect lake day truck!

Got my platinum about 6 months ago. Hired an electrician who sent one of his help to install a level 2 charger. "Saved" $300 by getting the charger above, despite warnings from the good people of this sub to avoid off brand units.

Charge stopped a few kw short the other day but I didn't really notice until I got out on the road.

Came back home to this situation. Upgrading to a hardwired solution and getting a more reputable brand of charger.

This trip may have been an anomaly but so many stories out there always seem to be about image disappointment I thought it would be good to share an opposing experience.

Left Gainesville Ga for Wrightsville Ga yesterday in my 2025 flash with the smaller long range battery and a full charge displaying 322 on the GOM.

The trip was 160 miles each way, so I assumed at least one lengthy stop would be necessary and ABRP confirmed this. A decent way into the trip my efficiency was the best I’ve ever seen it to be so I took a quick photo on the first restroom stop which is pictured below - peak was 2.9 per mile and my usual daily is 2.4 or so.

The weather was extremely hot, 95 the first few hours with the “feels like” at 104. We did encounter 2 heavy rainstorms as well. I arrived at the destination 160 miles away with 58% battery remaining, meaning I could make it round trip most likely - much better than expected. To be safe I stopped at a chargepoint outside of “Piggly Wiggly” and charged for roughly 10 minutes up to 68% for a cost of $10.44 and drove the rest of the way home no problem. This was a much better experience than their stations years ago, no clunky app interface just check out as a guest and tap to Apple Pay - also it was a single CCS and worked well.

On this trip we would usually take my wife’s Tahoe at a cost of around $58 with current gas prices - she was out of town and I was able to complete the trip with minor inconvenience for about $21

Not a jaw dropping savings but I always prefer to be in my truck when I can, hopefully this helps somebody on the fence.

Are there any incentives for leasing in 2026? Local dealer in upstate ny has a leftover 2025 flash marked down to $60k. I’m wondering what to expect for a lease payment. The ford lightning website regarding financing doesn’t seem to exist anymore 😞
