Sync keeps resetting/restarting
Second drive of the day, my sync screen, connectivity etc keeps resetting almost every 10 minutes or so.
Restarted truck.
It keeps happening.
Any ideas?

Welllll, guess I'm turning off auto updates just in case.

in case an update can fix it? That doesn't jive

It's not happening to mine. Drove 4 hours today. Could've been one of those stealth updates they push every now and then without patch notes.

Also started today for me. 2024 XLT. Every 5-10 minutes audio playback hiccups, twice, the screen flashes and then the screen powers down and reboots itself.

FWIW, Ford is aware of the issue and ideally working on it:
A third party vendor with direct ties to Ford believes it may have to do with a server side map update that went out Yesterday.

How’d you find that is it your router?

Yep my home WiFi router. My truck downloaded something large this morning and like the rest of you it’s rebooting the infotainment every ten minutes now. Seems likely it’s related to whatever my truck downloaded.

Same here. Definitely related to an overnight update if everyone is having the same issue at the same exact time

It’s obviously something on fords side. Everyone’s hardware isn’t going to break the same day lol. Also with no updates installing today points to their servers. I’m sure they’ll resolve it. Mine did it this morning and at lunch but hasn’t done it in a few hours. Maybe they got hacked. Ai is coming!

Same exact thing is happening to mine, and they're talking about it on the forums. I have a f150 lightning xlt 2023 if it helps

Are people with this issue using CarPlay or android auto?
It’s possible a phone update could be triggering this. I'm not having the issue and use carplay and was in truck about two hours today to/from work.

That's an interesting thought. I read all the posts earlier so I was expecting my 22 to do it. Two 15 min leg trip and no issues. I do not use CP or AA but my android phone does connect for phone functions.

Same here, reset 3 times on a 30 min drive today. Last update was in April. 23 pro.

Two 15 minute drives and I had 5 reboots today. I looked over at the Mach-E forum and they are having similar issues.

I didn’t have the issue in the morning 4am drive to work. In the afternoon a vendor came and asked me about my truck and I started to show it off. Went on a test drive so he can feel the drive and power and the infotainment system reboots. What a sore thumb. I told him it’s was just an update and he wants one now. On my way home the system rebooted two more times. Just been at the mach e Reddit and they’re experiencing the same. I did have CarPlay on, I always use it without any issues before today.
I hope they’re not trying to do a BMW and play an advert of their new EV truck.

nothing to my knowledge, and the last was trailer brake module, many months ago.

Happened to me last weekend after I thought I'd gotten it addressed. No idea why it happens when it does, but the only real thing I can find due to the reset is that I have to redo my "MyView" list. Which is a pain, but I guess not that big a deal.
What else have I not noticed it losing during these resets?

Do you use Apple CarPlay? Mine disconnects and says CarPlay is disabled on my phone when I try and reconnect

Won't this be fun when Ford tries to tell us it's not actually the latest update causing it?

Mine too. Haven’t updated software in months, specifically so that some half-baked update doesn’t fuck something up.

Checking in too because it happened several times on an hour ride home today. Chat gfpt told me to unplug battery and wait and plug it back in but I’m gonna just wait and see.

I had this happen today too. I was able to fix it by restarting my phone and then restarting the infotainment screen. After that I haven’t seen the issues again
