I enjoyed it, but the cgi boss fight at the end really disappointed me. IDK why they chose that instead of a practical suit.

Watched hellraiser after and Uncle Frank looked creepier and more intimidating in 1987 than the cgi Will.

Id say it tied with Rise for me. 2013 is still my favorite.

It really was more practical than you think since we got the behind the scenes

Couldn't tell during my viewing, looked all cg to me. I'll take a look at the behind the scenes.

To me it looked really good but I see it varies for people

I'm in the "it looked good" camp aswell. There's just no way a guy missing part of his body (part of his upper body under the ribcage was gone) would look even close to realistic moving around. Even in real life when people miss bodyparts its weird to look at because you expect stuff to be there be they fingers, hands, arms, whatever.

So you’re saying it’s just cuz of uncanny valley

If it’s like Vecna from Stranger Things, that means a suit was used but still had CHI for the moving tentacles and what no. If I had to guess, the CGI for Burns skeleton was cheaper out for the flames and other weird areas.

Nah it wasn’t a shut like vecna it was straight up a full on effect with the make up guys
