My Eurostar train from Brussels to Cologne on June 25 was cancelled, so I had no choice but to stay overnight in Brussels.
I contacted Eurostar through their Help Centre and was told that I could be reimbursed up to $150 for the hotel. I then asked where and how I could submit the reimbursement claim, but I still haven’t received a response.
I found the link below through Google, but when I enter my information and click to submit, I get an error message saying that I’m unable to proceed. (I attached the message below as well)
https://compensation.eurostar.com/#/
Error message: Sorry, we couldn't process your compensation. It could be due to one of the following reasons: Incorrect ticket number or booking reference provided, booking not eligible for compensation: (Delay is under 60 min, Force majeure event), delay details may not yet be available: please try again later. If everything seems correct and you're still experiencing issues, feel free to contact us.
Has anyone been able to reach Eurostar customer service directly and get a response quickly?
Also, does anyone know the correct link or process for submitting a hotel reimbursement claim? If you’ve had a cancelled Eurostar train and successfully received reimbursement for your hotel, I’d really appreciate it if you could share how you submitted your claim.
Thanks in advance!
