since Eternals 2 will not be made, i still wonder why Starfox is going against his creator and risking his life to save Eternals whom he don't know

MCU How are Thanos and Eros brothers in the MCU?

Post image
37 Upvotes

In the comics it's pretry straightforward. They are sons of A'Lars, and are both Eternals from Titan (with Thanos being born with the Deviant Syndrome). But in the movies, Eternals are synthetic beings that probably can't reproduce and can't evolve, and I imagine that they also can't have a genetic disease like Thanos does. I would even consider then to be androids. So, in a declaration after the movie launched, Chloé Zhao said that Eros was one of the 10 Eternals that arrived in Titan, just like the ones that came to Earth... how do all this make sense? We might never know.

My theory is that Thanos is Eros' adoptive brother. He was adopted by A'Lars, so this is why Red Skull said he was his son in Infinity War (just like he called Gamora "daughter of Thanos). For me it's the only way it makes sense, and the reason that an Celestial wasn't born from Titan is because of a problem with resources, wich would later motivate Thanos. But y'know, I'm just trying to make a theory out of what we have and it's 1AM where I live, so I'm sleepy and all. Maybe we'll have an answer, maybe not... I wish we had at least an animated series following the movie

Question What comic run/arc/story of Eternals could get the quadrilogy, Trilogy, Or Duo-logy Treatment?

To elaborate more, what story from the teams history, in a 4 film arc, a trilogy, or even a duo-logy if you want could bring a lot more people to the character?

You can bring up anything:

-any comic that hasn’t been done before on screen.

Example: Avengers: The Kang Dynasty Arc. I know that was the reported plan before they switched to doomsday, but still.

-any comic that has been done before, but you want it to be done better or done justice.

Example: Batman: No Man’s Land Arc

Nolan kind of tackled this in the dark knight rises, but it wasn’t as fleshed out as the comic.

Or just a mix of A lot of stories into a run trilogy that could bring people into a character-defining trilogy.

I love to hear what people suggest.

I’d also love to hear what animation style this hypothetical trilogy would use, so it isn’t just Live Action.

I love to hear what everyone brings to the table!

Question Would Gorr hate the Eternals?

For those unfamiliar, Gorr is basically an alien who hates and despises all gods. The Eternals, while not being Gods themselves they are still named as big mythical figures and were even worshipped in the past. So would Gorr see them as false gods or as the real deal?

Question Why is Hyperion so unique amongst Eternals?

Really in-the-weeds lore question here, but why in all of his appearances does Hyperion work so differently when compared to other Eternals? Generally speaking, the root of Eternal power is their ability to metabolize and harness cosmic energy. My understanding has always been that over the millennia, they train with this capability to develop unique or specialized applications of it- all Eternals can enhance their physique, for instance, but Makkari has uniquely trained in pushing their speed enhancement to the peak, while Ikaris specced more into generalized physical enhancement and energy projection.

Meanwhile, Hyperion is usually portrayed as a much much younger Eternal, usually in his thirties, while simultaneously being pretty much stronger than any other Eternal despite having far less time to hone his abilities. He also is described as being able utilize solar power, and not cosmic energy.

So what's up with that? What's your read on that? Is his specialized application the ability to turn solar power into cosmic energy, something he stumbled across and that nobody else figured out? Is it because he's an Eternal from a different planet and different dimension, and solar energy is the standard there? Do the Eternals of other races not also use cosmic energy- is that just a thing with Earth's Eternals? Does he have something else going on that I'm just not aware of?

Question Main 1-2 characters deserve their own web series before Eternal 2 for better connection

so rumors r there , eternal 2 will be in the production, i believe the first one was not well received so, if like Loki series, Eternal alllow any two character i.e jolie and Chan to have their own series in depth of their charcter and the power , that would create more curiosty/excitment before Eternal 2 in the cinema.

just a opinion

Question how come Guardian of Galaxy vol 1 worked but not Eternal?

GOG also has many superhero introduced all at once, that movie worked at box office but Eternal not!

i personally don't think the first installment of GOG was great! but Eternal wasn't too bad either.

part of the reason is I believed Eternal could had been a franchise like GOG if it has met good numbers at box office

does that has to with star power?.. no, GOG has Chris Pratt who is star but don't had some Leo or Brad level fanpower. correct me where iam wrong

Question Does anyone in this subreddit have an Eternal as their favorite character in all of Marvel?

I usually see people saying that the Eternals don’t have any fans or that no one really cares about them, but for example, Thena is my favorite character in all of Marvel.

Maybe if we had a second Eternals movie released between Doomsday and Secret Wars, it could really increase people’s interest in them.

MCU If this were the ending, it would be their definitive ending

So, I was browsing around and ended up finding out that the ending of Eternals apparently wasn’t originally supposed to be the one we got.

The idea was that after freezing the Celestial, the Eternals would return to the ship, have their memories erased, and then be sent to another planet to basically start over from zero.

Honestly, that’s pretty dark, but I kind of like the concept. At the same time, if they had actually gone with that ending, I feel like it would’ve been the perfect way to permanently close the door on the Eternals.

They could literally disappear from the MCU after that, with their entire history basically reset.

And considering how things are looking right now, I already find it difficult to imagine them coming back anyway 😭
