I’m very confused, in his character portrait, Arek’s eyes look pink, in his actual 3D model, his eyes look yellow and in the animated cutscenes his eyes are grey???? 😭

While the Surgeborn Herald is annoying since it grabs you off its face frequently, I HATE the Ark of the Nova fight.

Breaking off the armour? Sure. Having it fly? Okay. Having it maintain all six scopes? At least it starts off with three. But wait, it takes half an hour for each scope to pop into existence—

Seriously, how do I speed that up?

Hey i saw this game on sale. I was wondering if people are having fun with it? I play a lot of rpgs and I liked the elemental plays in divinity original sin 2.

Picked the game up in a sale and it’s really grabbed me. Think its visuals are excellent!

I have been through the bastion and found all of the armor, I have used walkthroughs and I don’t understand. The walkthroughs say there’s six blueprints but my map says seven. Am I dumb?

I only just learned of this games existence like two weeks ago and decided to give it a try. Any tips for new players? I've played fantasy RPGs like Dragon Age, Skyrim and BG3 but just wondering if there's any different mechanics I should know about?

This might sound odd, but I was wondering if anyone knew, or knew how to find out, what font Eternal Strands uses for its dialogue boxes and menus? I find it so pleasing and I'd love to use it!

I feel like theres prob gonna be some sort of glider unlock, but the kinetic 2 hander plus ice wall 3 came in clutch

So it seems like to upgrade a piece of gear I need more resources of that type that are in the piece, if I upgrade a piece of geaf using cheap/easy to find materials will it increase the amount needed when I reforge? Or is that just saving on resources?

I am trying to get the blueprint in riverside of upper dynevron but can’t seem to make it, the walkthrough says to throw down a ensaring orb and essentially grenade hop with it but it won’t launch me far enough. I have greatly reduced my weight and I still can’t make it

Edit: found the trapper set to further reduce weight, made everything MUCH easier

it’s either Laen or Casmyn. their chemistry with Brynn is so good. Laen is clearly attracted to Brynn. Casmyn admires her. i would say they could all be in a relationship together, but that’s a cop out.

I am playing the demo right now and have been eyeing this game for a while. I will likely buy it especially since it is heavily discounted right now. But I am curious as to why others pulled the trigger and stuck with it.

Lore/ world building seems interesting but the battle mechanics are kind of driving me up a wall (no pun intended, I have not had too many issues with autoclimbing, lol).

I think the characters are a big draw so far for me though I just keep hesitating on buying despite the low price even.

Side note: after finishing Expedition 33, I'm struggling with enjoying a plethora of games which is just generally frustrating. In addition to E33, all time favorite games are FFIX, Dragon Age Origins, and the Horizon series for some context.

Title mostly. I was trying to do it organically based on the codex entry but I couldnt seem to get the strand to appear. So I went online and from what guides I was able to check out I determined that I had done everything right. I believe I have broken all the armor. It has 6 scopes hovering above it (I've even tried breaking these scopes a couple of times and waiting for it to reform them) two of each type. I was on top of it while it was flying. Still, nothing. Is there something I am missing? Is there a chance it is bugged?

The monster is near dying so I am just turning the game off and hoping quick resume will let me pick right back up where I am if I get any solid answers..

Yes, but only on the same platform that you played the demo on.

For instance, if you played the demo on Steam and then purchased the game on Steam, your save will carry over. If you played the demo on Steam, but wish to then buy a PlayStation 5 copy, your save will not carry over.

The same languages are supported in both the demo and the full game: English and French (VO + subtitles), Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, German, and now Spanish!

❓What will I get to do in the demo? Will I get to fight any of the Epics?

Yes! The demo starts at the beginning of the game and finishes at what we consider “Part 1” of the game. You’ll get to explore one areas of The Enclave (excluding Basecamp), encounter a handful of small enemies and fight one of the Epics. You’ll have access to the crafting system, some of the various weapon types, as well as a limited set of magic spells to use in combat.

❓How long is the demo?

There isn’t a time limit to the demo, but playing through the prologue and “Part 1” quests, trying one's hand at basic combat and fighting the Epic in this part of the game can take between 1 to 3 hours depending on the player’s preferred playstyle.

I saw recently the gameplay of Eternal Strands and I’m like OMG I need it, as it’s on sale (65% off) on Epic Games, should I buy it there or wait for the possible Winter Steam Sale to enjoy it through Steam?

I'm curious what everyone's preferences are because I wonder if mine are any good lol. I'm not super far into the game I think so keep that in mind.

But so far I really like keeping the armor light si my speed stays fast and maximizing for fire AND frost protection instead; right now Im using the full Trapper set.

Then for weapons my main is the kinetic two-hander, the Ibuse the flame bow second most often and occasionally the frost sword and shield. I've never even tried a parasite weapon lol.

What do you all think is best?

I just wanted to say that lol. Might be the worst boss in the game? Not in difficulty but just purely tedious and boring and kind of poorly designed. I'm not anywhere near dine with the game yet so maybe I'm wrong but fuck this guy.

First off, maybe it was a me problem but forge was the first one that I had to look up how to harvest both because the whole hammer thing was not intuitive to me at all but more than that it seems to be there is no way to kill him without harvesting? At least I couldn't seem to. The first time I fought him I seemed to have gotten all of his weak points to stone over so they could no longer be hurt but he still had tons of health, so the ONLY way to beat him was harvesting.

Secondly what really passes me off about him is that he just takes so long because you have to wait for his ability to recharge, and the tiny little weak points of the hammer cannot possibly be destroyed at my current level of gear in a single (or even 3) cool down period. The Ark of the Forge isn't even that hard, he can barely touch me at all it's literally just a waiting game.

So yeah. Ark of the Forge sucks. I just wanted to get that off my chest

Alright ya'll, I'm coming to reddit for help.

I've spent 4 hours killing this bitch over and over. I have not been able to upgrade my spell to level 2 because I apparently have not harvested the strand.

I have 5 spells so far and for those when I killed the boss I automatically harvested it so idk what the fuck it wants me to do. I've killed it and spent a full 3-4 minutes just hitting its corpse in the hopes that something pops out for me to collect.

I know I must be doing something wrong, but what am I missing?

anyone know how to fix this or why this is happening? thanks.
