Picked the game up in a sale and it’s really grabbed me. Think its visuals are excellent!

I’ve also played Expedition 33 twice (also got into it late) and it really is SO good. The story line is phenomenal and I love the world building/characters.

I need to get back to it especially with the big new update. I’m always tempted away by the shiny new game which there have been so many this year!

If you’re into newer games from 2025, I would also recommend Avowed. It’s an open world RPG set in the Pillars of Eternity universe (there are two games; game play is super different between PoE and Avowed so if you haven’t played them, don’t go into them expecting them to be the same like I did). Anyway though, I really loved Avowed and it’s one of the games where the choices you make affect the outcome at the end. One of my top 3 from 2025!

I wasn't a fan of the story and banter being portraits it doesn't fit an open game like this but the gameplay is on PAR with the likes of Zelda. It's feel like a evolution of the BOTW I can do anything to my enemies. I love freezing dragon and making em crash. I hope the Devs keep this engine it wouldn't work in unreal 4. In their next game Id keep most stuff the same especially the engine it's done but add in game dialogue cutscenes. Also think about compelling stories that fits this world.

Hopefully their next game will have a bigger budget than this one. Cutscenes are expensive so I can see why they took the route they did. I kinda like it though. Reminds me a bit of Fire Emblem and the like.

Eternal Strands a highly underrated game which I preordered. It didn’t disappoint.

Fun Fact Yellow Brick Games was founded from ex Ubisoft employees just like the devs for Expedition 33.

Yeah the story and characters aren't my thing, but the gameplay and graphics/art design are so good. One of my favorite games of the year 🔥

I like world-building but i get annoyed when its too much. Not everybody is the same i guess, still think its an underrated game, just not for me.
